I wrapped up my first semester in college on Thursday. The schoolwork itself wasn’t too bad, just really time consuming especially combined with my part time job. I could’ve made it easier by not procrastinating though lol (lots of last minute midnight assignments). All in all, I think I did pretty well and am excited that starting next semester I’m going to do less general studies and more school for my major. How did your college (or high school I guess) semester go?
 
This is my first year of college and I have to move to another city to live on my own. Personally I'm fine with it because I've always dreamed of studying there since I was a kid, although there's a lot of work to do, which means I have less time for Pokemon. Anyways my major is chemical engineering and i think i did okay in my first semester. Hopefully i will not be too busy with studies and irl stuff

Pretty OK, actually. I think the past year I have displayed more focus than I have for quite a while, and I definitely learned the most I ever have. However, I don't think it's entirely because I gained a new work ethic or discipline I didn't display before, I think it's because a bunch of things coincided for me that was conducive to my progress this year (including me finally finding a setup for studying that actually works for me). I think a big lesson I learned from 2024 is that even if hard work doesn't always pay off, you will only get to "roll the dice" on a payoff if you worked hard. And that was actually good enough motivation for me.
