Or, if they think that and you know they think that, then you can DD again, and then lead them to believe you don't have Taunt and therefore then Taunt them the next turn, further more just garnering an extra turn and so on and on and on and on and on and on.
Also if you were worried about a Starmie, you'd just EV it to survive a damn Thunderbolt from the -standard- one, or you let it hold a damn electric berry and get in the second DD.
