How long does mutes last?

So I was playing yesterday and a buddy of mine using my internet, next to me literally, said something that deserved a mute in the lobby. Consequently I was muted also since the server considered my account an alt? ( Same internet i guess)
My account is sinned, and the muted guy was saggin92

Anyway, I'm not trying to appeal, since it was my fault to not tell him to chill. He literally logged on for the first time ever and said something stupid.

But I am wondering how long do mutes last?

Probably only a few months.

Although if you youtube yourself viciously beating your friend we may shorten the mute.
