Hyper Offense OU Team
As most people would know, a majority of the top players in OU, or any tier for that matter, run stall, or at least have an element of stall in their team. But I have decided to run a hyper offense team, just for a different aspect of gameplay. This isn’t a top 100 team at the moment, but I have tested it and with good prediction and knowledge, it can be very effective.
Ok, the main idea of this team, is that every Pokemon (except my lead) should be come close to KOing at least one Pokemon in the battle. I don’t really have a team building process, because my team doesn’t have the best synergy, just the fact that they can all dish out a large amount of damage to a variety of types makes them a threat.
The thing I like about this team is that you actually do have to be a good player. There are a lot of teams I see that anyone can pick up and be good with them. This team requires prediction and knowledge of what each Pokemon is like so you know how to combat each and every one in a certain situation.
NOW TO MEET THE TEAM…

IMPORTANT NOTE: There are a few possible changes in this team. These will be listed in bold. Please when you rate, give your opinions about these changes and whether I should use them.

DEOXYS-S
Role: Lead / Fast Taunt / Dual Screener
Item: Light Clay
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 DEF / 152 SP.DEF / 104 SPD
Nature: Careful (+SpDef –SpAtk)
~Taunt ~Stealth Rock
~Reflect
~Light Screen
~~~ Deoxys-S is my standard lead, unless there is an obvious threat on the opponent team (Prankster? Believe me, I don’t really want Deoxys-S taunted). There are two roles that Deoxys-S plays on my team – Dual Screener, and a Fast Taunter, although the latter is not used as much. The strategy is usually just to set up both screens (order depends on which pokemon my opponent has active at the time) and switch. With both defences at 279, and a very high speed stat, I can pretty much set up screens whenever I feel like it, unless I switch Deoxy-S in on a Taunt. Speaking of which, Taunt is a must on this set, as it can deter leads from status moves, as well as setting up entry hazards. Note this is especially important because I will be switching a lot and I do not have a Rapid Spinner. Night Shade is there just to deal some damage whenever I have a free turn, having already taunted + set up both screens.
From reading some of the feedback below, I am considering changing Taunt to Magic Coat and Night Shade to SR. I personally prefer Taunt, because it stops them from setting up entirely, whereas Magic Coat only protects Deoxys-S. The positive about Magic Coat is that it bounces back their status move, so that evens it out. SR would probably be good over Night Shade because if I play smart, I shouldn't get taunted, and SR would be more beneficial in the long run.
SCIZOR
Role: Physical Choice / Priority / Scout
Item: Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 252 ATK / 8 SPD
Nature: Adamant (+Atk – SpAtk)
~U-Turn
~Pursuit
~Superpower
~Bullet Punch
~~~ Doesn’t this set look familiar? Yep, it’s just your standard Choice Band Scizor. Standard moves, standard nature, standard EVs. Nonetheless, it is still one of the most feared Pokemon in the game, and almost always leaves gaping holes in the opponent’s team. But it can be used even more efficiently with prediction. U-Turn is for scouting, as well as getting Scizor out when predicting a switch. Many-a-time has a Heatran switched in, just to receive a goodbye and U-Turn in it’s ugly face. Pursuit. Ah Pursuit. I have said good game to many Lati@s’ choice locked into Draco Meteor. It really makes my day. Superpower is just a high power move which can surprise a lot of Pokemon (Magnezone, Heatran). Bullet Punch is probably Scizor’s signature move. At a whopping 591 attack, a Technician-boosted, STAB priority is sure a move to be feared by many.

ROTOM-W
Role: Special Choice / Scout / Wallbreaker
Item: Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SPATK / 252 SPD / 6 HP
Nature: Modest (+SpAtk –Atk)
~Hydro Pump
~Volt Switch
~HP Ice (changed from Thunderbolt)
~Trick (changed from Shadow Ball)
~~~ To go with my physical choice attacker, I decided I needed a special attacker. Most people love the Volt Switch/ U-Turn combo, but would probably go for Raikou. Personally I just like using Rotom-W, mainly because of it’s typing, ability, and bulkiness. Hydro Pump is there plain and simple, because it is a 120 power + STAB attack. It also hits Gliscor if I don’t feel like risking Volt Switch (if it turns out Gliscor doesn’t switch and I go for Volt Switch, then I’m in BIG TROUBLE). Volt Switch is pretty much Rotom-W’s equivalent to U-Turn on Scizor – it’s a solid 70 power STAB and useful for scouting. Thunderbolt has been changed to HP Ice as it gives me better coverage over a teensy bit more power, plus I can hit some dragons even after a DDance. Shadow Ball has been changed to Trick because my team desperately needs a wallbreaker and it seemed like a good opportunity.
STARAPTOR
Role: Physical Attacker / Late Game Sweeper
Item: Life Orb
Ability: Reckless
EVs: 252 ATK / 252 SPD / 6 HP
Nature: Jolly (+Spd –SpAtk)
~Brave Bird
~Double-Edge
~Close Combat
~Roost
~~~ That bird in the picture above looks fierce, and believe me it's not just his look which is fierce. He gets nearly perfect coverage in his moves and even physical walls have a hard time stopping him. As you can see, there are a few things I am unsure about, (noted in bold writing) so please comment below with your opinion. Brave Bird is a move that most Pokemon don’t like to be hit by, particularly when boosted by Life Orb and Reckless. Same goes for Double-Edge. Close Combat hits nearly all Pokemon which resist the previous two moves, especially Rock and Steel types (FERROTHORN!). I I have listed the ‘Raptor as a late game sweeper because with most Pokemon having little HP left, I don’t need to worry about the backlash of Brave Bird and Double-Edge.
I have switched U-Turn for Roost at this time, although I am considering using Leftovers over LO. I could turn my Staraptor into a more bulky version, although I suppose my team is 'Hyper Offence', so I think Roost should be enough for healing the recoil. Also maybe Choice Band could be a good idea? I don't really like having 3 choiced Pokes on my team, but I suppose I would be able to run U-Turn more effectively and there wouldn't be any backlash from the Life Orb.

SALAMENCE
Role: Intimidator / Physical Attacker
Item: Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 ATK / 252 SPD / 6 HP
Nature: Jolly (+Spd –SpAtk)
~Dragon Claw
~Dragon Dance
~Earthquake
~Fire Fang
~~~ Salamence. What a beast. He achieves perfect coverage (other than Air Balloon Heatran) with his three powerful moves. Dragon Claw is for his mighty STAB attack, EQ is pretty much standard, but I have chosen Fire Fang over Fire Blast. I just like the higher accuracy, and this way, my nature doesn't hinder my defences and Dragon Dance benefits all his moves. Intimidate is a lot more useful than people think. When switched on a physical attacker such as Gyarados or Excadrill, it really does hinder them, and they usually switch out.
NIDOKING
Role: Status Resistor / Special Attacker
Item: Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 SPATK / 252 SPD / 6 HP
Nature: Timid (+Spd –Atk)
~Flamethrower
~Thunderbolt
~Ice Beam
~Earth Power
~~~ How this monster is UU I will never know. Just step back and take a look at him. Awesome ability. 4 moves with fantastic coverage and 80+ power boosted by Sheer Force (1.3x). Not to mention his stats are alright as well. Nidoking may be UU, but he sure can hold his own in the OU environment. He can check many common threats such as Ferrothorn, Jellicent, Dragonite, Gliscor and Tyranitar. Flamethrower equals death to Scizor and ‘Thorn as well as covers my large Ice-type weakness; Thunderbolt is trouble for threats such as Skarmory, Tornadus and Politoed. Ice Beam takes down Ground-types, but more importantly; the mighty Dragons. Earth Power is obviously there for a hugely powerful STAB attack which rounds out the set. Something a lot of people over look on Nidoking is that it absorbs Thunder Wave and Toxic, something only it and three other Pokemon (Gliscor, Excadrill, Steelix) can boast.
So that is my team. Thanks for reading my first RMT and please give feedback below, it doesn’t take long. Also I’m sorry there is no threat list at this time, but I might add one in the future.
