I actually like Blissey ): [RMT]

No, I do. I really do. How can you hate something that looks so happy?
...
Anyways, on to the team, which includes no Blissey but her long-lost cousin Clefable ^_^

dpiconani482.gif
Harmattan [Azelf]@Choice Specs
Naive | Levitate
252 Sp Atk / 220 Spe / 36 Atk
Explosion
U-Turn
Psychic
Hidden Power [Ice]

U-Turn for Tyranitar and Weavile, and Explosion for special walls/notable threats to the team. Current lead.

dpiconani260.gif
Monsoon [Swampert]@Leftovers
Relaxed | Torrent
252 HP / 216 Def / 52 Sp Atk
Ice Beam
Surf
Earthquake
Stealth Rock

dpiconani145.gif
Maelstrom [Zapdos]@Leftovers/Light Clay
Calm | Pressure
252 HP / 220 Sp Def / 36 Spe
Thunderbolt
Hidden Power [Grass]
Roost
Light Screen

Pert-Dos make a nice little combo, with Zapdos lol'ing at (usually special) Grass attacks aimed at Swampert, and Swampert taking (usually physical) Rock attacks for Dos. Both help the team somewhat, providing residual damage in the form of Stealth Rock and a Sp Def boost in the form of Light Screen.

dpiconani036.gif
Meteor Shower [Clefable]@Leftovers
Bold | Magic Guard
252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Sp Def
Encore/Calm Mind?
Softboiled
Counter
Ice Beam

Takes status for the team. Light Screen + possible Calm Minds mean nothing much is getting past that Special Defense. Counter slams physical attackers. Ice Beam is the best choice here as nothing in the game is outright immune to it, and it hits Dragons, birds and bulky Grounds for SE damage.

dpiconani385.gif
Thunderstorm [Jirachi]@Life Orb
252 Atk / 152 Spe / 100 Sp Atk
Fire Punch
Ice Punch
Grass Knot
Hidden Power [Ground]

Here's a list of every Pokemon mentioned in Jirachi's counter info:
Rhyperior - Grass Knot
Garchomp - Ice Punch
Metagross - Fire Punch as it comes in, then hop to an EQ-immune Pokemon
Bronzong - Fire Punch as it comes in, then hop to an EQ-immune Pokemon
Heatran - HP Ground
Skarmory - Annoying, but not threatening enough to warrant Thunder/bolt
Magnezone - HP Ground
Dugtrio - Ice Punch
Tyranitar - Grass Knot

...Which means the opponent is going to be screwed the moment they bring in their "Jirachi counter". This guy is best used late-game after some team scouting, to better guess what will appear.

100 SpAtk EVs guarantees a 1HKO on Magnezone and boosts Grass Knot as well.

dpiconani134.gif
Tsunami [Vaporeon]@Leftovers
Bold | Water Absorb
252 Def /
188 HP / 68 SpA
Wish
Yawn
Surf
Ice Beam

Simple Wishpasser. Yawn is less predictable than Spore Breloom, Hypnosis Gengar, etc, so is unlikely to be met with a ResTalker or similar, and thus is a more reliable way of putting something to sleep or at least causing a few frantic switches.

There will almost certainly be Pokes I have trouble with, since this team is in its first draft and I haven't gone through the threat list yet. Help is like candy to my brain or something. I love it o_x

I would really go psychic over HP Ice on, it is not bolt beam, it is 25 BP less then bolt-beam, making it not a coverage game, but what hits harder in certaint situations, and psychic hits harder then HP Ice, on almost everything but dragons of course. Curse-Lax could really give you some problems, you have no Phazer, and no fighting attack that could hurt him. He sets up and you cant touch him. Softboiled Magic Guard is illigal, run moonlight unless you switch to blissey. With that said, thunderbolt > Counter, here is where you use bolt beam, on a CM set (Which blissey does much better by the way ;). Needs some work, but get that illigal pokemon fixed.

Thanks, I'll edit

Softboiled Magic Guard is illigal, run moonlight unless you switch to blissey.

It isn't illegal, just a little tough--you can teach Softboiled to a Clefairy and then bring it over for a chance of an ability change once it evolves.

Actually, this is the Counter set; it's on the analysis page. The point is to pump Clefable's Special Defense as much as possible, and then Counter once a Choice Bander or something comes in to attack.

Should I consider a wallbreaker over someone to deal with Lax?

Thats not the point, it is an illigal combo to have...

What is Clefable trying to counter with a choice band anyway, anything with a choice band will easily hurt clefable very hard before it can be touched by a counter, clefable is there to wall things, not take hits like choice band weavile brick breaks, or infernape close combats. Speaking of infernape, it 1HKOs snorlax after 1 Curse with life orb, so that may be a good idea.

I liked te old sprites...

Disregard LEAVE 1, CurseLax isn't an issue and Softboiled+Magic Gaurd is legal but he's right in that you're better off with Psychic over HP Ice. Swampert should be Mixed, Surf and Ice Beam are far more valuable than Stone Edge and Avalanche for your team. Give Clefable Encore over Calm Mind, you will find it easier bringing in your sweepers with it and does something hit you with a physical attack unexpectedly you can Encore and Counter after.

Looking back at Jirachi, you should probably just make it a Mixed Metagross, who gets the job done better, or at least more effeciently.

Interestingly enough your problem isn't in getting beaten by anything in particular but getting walled easily by a Blissey and physical wall combination. Ways to overide that are the Metagross suggestion and replacing Dragonite with either Vaporeon or Tentacruel, which will remedy you MixApe weakness. Tentarcuel sets up Toxic Spikes but Vaporeon can supply a valuable Wishing spot.

...

Are you sure jirachi's grass knot counters tyranitar with it's spdef boost in sandstorm?

And magic guard + softboiled was determined by the pokemon high council to be illegal.

jk

How can it be illegal when it can be obtained in game?

Just bring a celfairy over w/ softboiled.... evolve it and PRAY that it changed it's ability to magic guard when it evolves

The fact that you can use magic guard + softboiled ON WIFI WITHOUT AR/any other cheat device is proof it is not illegal

Illegal = you cannot obtain it in game.

edit: Just saw the users "jk" above me... anyway Grass Knot still owns Tyranitar due to him being so fat...

Life Orb Infernape CC: 80.46% - 94.67%
Choice Band Weavile Brick Break: 52.28% - 61.42%

They do hit hard, but either one is KO'd by a Counter. Clefable's not meant to switch in directly on physical moves.

I'm going to try this Jirachi out at some point; it seems like an interesting anti-counter, especially since so many people rely on the Smogon Counter lists. I lol'd at its page, nearly everything on there says "but watch out for" or "unless Jirachi has".
You're right about MixGross, but there are still a few things that people are going to switch in on it, and Charizard/Moltres are a problem since they resist 3/4 and possibly 4/4 things there. The advantage of Jirachi is that its full set is completely unpredictable, whereas Metagross is revealed the second it uses a Special-type move.

I did notice the lack of wallkilling here. Vappy can definitely go in place of Dragonite; and after reading your suggestions I guess I'll take another look at Metagross.

Thanks for the advice! c:
