I could use some tips!

Hi! I'm in love with Little Cup, and I'd like to know if how my team is. This is one of my first forum posts so forgive me if I do anything wrong. Here is the team:

Mienfoo @ Eviolite
Trait: Regenerator
Level: 5
EVs: 236 Atk / 76 Def / 120 SDef / 76 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Fake Out
- Drain Punch
- U-turn
- Payback

Every LC knows the fearsome beast that is Mienfoo. This set can hit very hard and take a hit or two. I like Drain Punch better than Hi Jump Kick for recovery, but I can change it if need be.

Misdreavus @ Eviolite
Trait: Levitate
Level: 5
EVs: 36 HP / 120 Def / 110 SDef / 242 Spd
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Psychic
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Fighting]

Another LC threat, Miss gets great synergy with the rest of my team. Psychic catches a lot of people off guard, as it isn't seen on Miss very often. Miss can take a sucker punch from croagunk and retaliate with Psychic.

Magnemite @ Eviolite
Trait: Magnet Pull
Level: 5
EVs: 156 HP / 36 Def / 240 SAtk / 76 SDef
Modest Nature
- Flash Cannon
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Thunderbolt
- Magnet Rise

Magnemite has great offensive and defensive presence and is able to hit hard while taking limited damage. This little magnet has synergy with Miss who is immune to two of Magnemite’s weakeness; fighting and ground. Chinchou can cover for Magnemite’s weakness to fire. Magnet Rise is exceptionally handy in dire situations.

Murkrow @ Eviolite
Trait: Prankster
Level: 5
EVs: 196 HP / 180 Def / 100 SDef / 32 Spd
Careful Nature
IVs: 30 SAtk / 30 SDef
- Roost
- Thunder Wave
- Sucker Punch
- Brave Bird

Murkrow is a huge LC threat. Priority Thunder Wave can cripple teams and Murkrow can hit back with furious attacks. I could switch Brave Bird for Drill Peck if needed.

Snover @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Snow Warning
Level: 5
EVs: 242 SAtk / 24 SDef / 242 Spd
Timid Nature
- Blizzard
- Giga Drain
- Ice Shard
- Hidden Power [Fire]

Choice scarf Snover is here to cover for the omnipresent Drilbur, and thanks to the speed boost, it can outspeed a lot of threats and take them down with perfect-accuracy Blizzard, Giga Drain or Hidden Power Fire. Ice Shard also come in handy from time to time.

Chinchou @ Eviolite
Trait: Volt Absorb
Level: 5
EVs: 52 Def / 232 SAtk / 224 Spd
Modest Nature
IVs: 30 Atk / 30 SAtk
- Hydro Pump
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam
- Heal Bell

Last but certainly not least is Chinchou. Chinchou gets good synergy with the rest of the team and can cure them with Heal Bell. Ice Beam hits dragons for super effective damage, and Hydro Pump and Thunderbolt can dish out a heavy amount of damage.

Thanks! :D

Mienfoo + Abra goes through this team. Having both Chinchou and Magnemite is redundant, so switch magnemite for Bronzor. Bronzor resists Psychic, is immune to ground, and can attack with Psychic.

For your Mienfoo, I would recommend changing it to the standard Bulky Mienfoo. This means changing the EV spread to 156 HP / 76 Atk / 196 Def / 76 Spe. It also means you should run an Impish nature. For utility you should, you should run Knock Off over Payback. Knock Off is great in the LC metagame as many mons rely on their Eviolite to sponge hits. I realize you may have Payback to hit Ghost types like Missy, but honestly, Knock off is a much better move in this meta

For your Missy, I recommend changing to a NP DBond set.
This is the one I have used in the past:
Misdreavus @ Eviolite
Trait: Levitate
Level: 5
EVs: 240 SAtk / 28 Def / 240 Spd
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Destiny Bond
You mentioned Croagunk's Sucker Punch, and Sucker Punch only hits if you attack. Depending on the set, some Croagunks only move they can hit Missy with is Sucker Punch. While the opponent spams this you can freely boost and use DBond. DBond is great for other Sucker Punchers as it causes mind-games with your opponent. I can't tell you how many games I've been in against a Houndour and ended up predicting the Dark Pulse and then killing it with HP Fight, This set is very good and should definitely be considered.

I would also consider implementing Mold Breaker Drilbur over Mag. This is the set:
Drilbur @ Eviolite
Trait: Mold Breaker
Level: 5
EVs: 36 HP / 236 Atk / 236 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Rapid Spin
- Swords Dance / Stealth Rock
The little mole doesn't care about Levitate or Natu's Magic Bounce (if you go for SR). He hits hard and clears the field, what else can you ask for?

You might want to consider Sub over TWave on Krow, but that set looks usable. Sub helps him beat stuff like Foongus better though.

Overall, your team looks pretty good though! Just try to implement a few of these changes and tell me how it goes!

Hi!
This team at first glance really does look like a solid team that will certainly win you battles against most players. but i do see a few flaws, that i think can be easily fixed. I will try to provide as much constructive feedback as i can, and i hope it helps. before i go into details, i just wanna say that from my experience of LC battling (over 500 battles), ive noticed that the more successful LC players/teams are defensive. Now I'm not saying that every Pokemon should have stally sets and just plain old boring sets, but what I'm saying is that there should be a balance and that certain pokemon like mienfoo do better with a slightly more safer set and especially a Mienfoo with Knock-off. the most common item used on pokemon in LC is Eviolite, and without this pokemon are so much easier to take down! With the regenerator ability Mienfoo is underated as a less offensive mon, if you know what im saying. So i'll start off my recommending this set for your Mienfoo;

Mienfoo @ Eviolite
Trait: Regenerator
Level: 5
EVs: 156 HP / 76 Atk / 196 Def / 76 Spd
- Drain Punch
- U-turn
- Knock Off
- Fake Out

More about the Mienfoo set:
A defensive set lets Mienfoo use its spectacular ability in conjunction with its focused movepool to optimal effect. It takes hits very well and can heal back easily with Drain Punch and Regenerator. It came to light as one of the best counters to Scraggy and can also check top setup sweepers such as Dwebble and Tirtouga. Additionally, it forces out a huge array of defensive Pokemon, including Lileep, Ferroseed, and Porygon, and can capitalize on this with its support moves. Drain Punch and U-turn's synergy with Regenerator give Mienfoo surprisingly reliable recovery and a fairly powerful STAB attack. Knock Off is one of the most versatile moves in Little Cup, being able to cripple defensive Pokemon which rely on Eviolite to weather the most powerful attacks, offensive Pokemon which appreciate the boost in defenses to aid setting up, and Choice Scarf wielders which utilize the boosted Speed to check Mienfoo's teammates. Fake Out is handy for revenge killing Pokemon such as Tirtouga on 1 HP, as it bypasses their boosted Speed and can also break the rare Focus Sash.
The EV investment in bulk means that Mienfoo will never be OHKOed by +1 Scraggy's Hi Jump Kick after Stealth Rock damage. The remaining EVs are placed in Attack to allow Mienfoo to KO the aforementioned Scraggy with Fake Out followed by Drain Punch, and in Speed to Speed tie with Modest Magnemite and outspeed Clamperl. The HP EVs can be placed in Attack to hit harder, although doing so will severely compromise Mienfoo's bulk. As for other move options, Mienfoo can run Stone Edge over Fake Out to better handle Drifloon and Larvesta, or use Hi Jump Kick over Drain Punch to simply hit harder, although the lack of recovery hurts and missing can lose you the match. Just about anything works well with Mienfoo. Murkrow is a top teammate, as it can easily check Abra, which can OHKO Mienfoo with Psychic and avoid Fake Out with Protect. Ironically, Mienfoo fears Murkrow, so Rock-types such as Archen and Tirtouga are great alongside it and can also set up Stealth Rock. Stunky and Porygon have nice synergy with Mienfoo, handling Misdreavus and Drifloon nicely, both of which can check Mienfoo effortlessly. It's pretty tough to not be able to fit defensive Mienfoo on your team. (taken from Smogons Mienfoo analysis)

Well with your Misdreavus, i think your moveset is quite fine, but i recommend using an offensive Misdreavus, with Will-o-wisp. Am i stupid? haha nope. Why am i saying this? from experience again, There were many, many instances where, when i sent in Misdreavus to dodge the fighting type move from mienfoo, unless its scarfed, about 50-70 % of people think Mienfoo is faster and decide to u turn or make another move. And i have caught them off guard with this. Also when they see the damage output that shadow ball does, they assume it is an offensive Missy, and dont expect the burn.

Calcs
1. 240 SpA Misdreavus Shadow Ball vs. 0 HP / 36 SpD Eviolite Mienfoo: 9-12 (42.85 - 57.14%) -- 12.11%

2. 240 SpA Misdreavus Shadow Ball vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mienfoo: 15-18 (71.42 - 85.71%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

The Burn is also nice to have, sometimes to cripple other unsuspecting pokemon such as drilbur, when sometimes players think Shadow Claw will OHKO.
But: 236+ Atk Drilbur Shadow Claw vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Eviolite Misdreavus: 10-14 (45.45 - 63.63%) -- 99.61% chance to 2HKO

Now, i see why your running psychic, but My advice here would be to remove Nastly Plot, only because when running an offensive Misdreavus, dont expect a free opportunity to set up and dont expect to take too many hits. My point being, it isnt easy to set up and take out too many other pokemon. But this cant happen, fell free to keep Nasty Plot! go for it, but keep in mind, nasty plot won't be used as often/ wont be as useful as psychic in that moveslot.

My recommendation:

(Misdreavus) @ Eviolite
Trait: Levitate
Level: 5
EVs: 240 SAtk / 28 SDef / 240 Spd
Modest Nature
- Nasty Plot/psychic
- Shadow Ball
- Will-O-Wisp/psychic
- Hidden Power [Fighting]

Not much i can say about Snover being the standard choice scarfed HP fire variant. Running a sand team myself, i hate Snover haha! such a pain to sand teams and can cause a lot of trouble. Protip: when facing sand teams, switch in snover on Hippopotas, and hit something hard! (fairly obvious, but yeah) Most Sand teams have a major weakness to Snover.

Hmm, Magnemite and Chinchou, i fell like this is unnecessary having 2 electric types, and maybe in this case i was thinking you might want an entry hazard set up Pokemon? Rocks and spikes are very handy. For this i recommend either Dwebble (people say its the best pokemon in LC to set up hazards) or ferroseed.

Try this:
Dwebble @ Oran Berry
Trait: Sturdy
Level: 5
EVs: 236 Atk / 236 Spd / 36 HP
- Spikes
- Stealth Rock
- Rock Blast
- X-Scissor/ Earthquake

So this is up to you whether you want to keep Chinchou or magnemite. ( magnemite adds to your fighting weakness!!)

Note: Timburr is a big threat to your team, with a bulk up or 2, it will be very hard to stop. try knocking off its eviolite, and proceed either go into Misdreavus or Mukrow. Note: Brave bird will not kill after 1 bulk up, and a boosted mach punch will do a lot of damage! +1 mach punch 28 - 36% +2 Mach Punch: 28 - 40%
(these are without guts or iron fist)

Important: 0 Atk Murkrow Brave Bird vs. +1 76 HP / 0 Def Eviolite Timburr: 14-20 (56 - 80%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

So my best answer to this problem would be to knock off its eviolite, and go into either Misdreavus and Psychic/ Shadow ball or Mukrow. Without Eviolite an easy OHKO. but with eviolite remember that it can live a brave bird!

With your Mukrow, it looks fine. Maybe you wanna take out sucker punch and go for Para-fusion, but thats personal choice.

So, other than that, Solid team and you certainly should do well with it!!!
Hope you've enjoyed my feedback, and good luck!! :)

Hey nice team!

Looking at it I can see how Stealth Rock is a big issue as it limits the amount of switch ins that Snover and Murkrow can get. While Magnemite can trap Steel-types that set up Stealth Rock it still has to watch out for Earthqauke on Bronzor and Dwebble leads can set up hazards quite easily and so can Hippopotas in some cases.

To be honest all we need to do to fix this problem is add a rapid spinner on your team. I would suggest a Staryu>Chinchou Staryu still provides you with a Water-type but you can also use Rapid Spin to rid hazards of your side of the field making it easier for your powerful offensive core of Murkrow and Snover. As bobbyvaporeon said Magnemite and Chinchou are a bit redundant anyway as they both check Murkrow. Plus Chinchou stacks your ground-type weakness. Staryu has natural cure so it can act as a status absorber which makes up somewhat for no Heal Bell and Hydro Pump and Thunderbolt provide it with similar coverage than Chinchou.

Also regarding your Murkrow I highly recommend changing its set to SubRoost This set works very well with Snover because Snover lures in Fighting-types which Murkrow can scare out and get up a free substitute. The hail damage from Snow Warning also works in Murkrows favour as it lets you Substitute and Roost stall walls with no recovery due to them holdind Eviolite. Brave Bird and Sucker Punch are two of Murkrows strongest STAB moves and they work wonders on the set.

Good luck with the team I hope I helped!
