there is an ad on this website that is for a pokemon mmorpg that leads to the site "onlinepokemongame.info" or the website "pokemongameonline.info". these sites offers the game that the real site (pokemonworldonline.net) offers, but require you to download zango to play, which is an adware program which can put malicious software on your computer. just thought i'd put it out there.
 
Uhh, we play either Shoddybattle or DS/PBR Wifi here, the former of which is probably more popular. Thanks, but most people at Smogon are interested in the competitive aspects of Pokemon (ie breeding and competitive battling) rather than Pokemon simulators.

I think the ads are placed by Google and chaos has no control over what goes in there (within reason- sexually explicit ads probably won't be seen).
 
Yup I saw this a few days ago and clicked onto it out of interest. Once I saw zango was required I correctly xed out not wanting to fall victim to it.
 
Thanks for the warning, I had no clue that zango did that. Not like I have ever heard of zango, but just incase I ever run into zango I will know what to do. ^^
