I like berries. (Shoddy Battle RMT)

Yeah, I'm fairly new to the competitive environment, and I tried my hand at making a team. It actually works quite well on Shoddy, but lately, I've been having some trouble with it, which is why I'm asking for a rate/suggestions. Here it is. (Changes in bold)

Yanmega (M) @ Petaya Berry
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 6 Def/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Air Slash
- Bug Buzz
- Hidden Power [Ground]
- Substitute

My lead. Even without the Petaya Berry boost, it can still easily take down whole teams. Basically, it Subs down until it's at 25%, and then sweeps. The set is actually a lot of fun to play with, which is one of the reasons why I chose it.

---

Crobat (M) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 116 HP/160 Atk/232 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- U-Turn
- Taunt

My Skymin counter. It really works all of the time. At least, I've never encountered one that can defeat this Crobat. It can also use Brave Bird to take down things like Yanmega. Taunt for those annoying stat boosters/spikers.

---

Forretress (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP/162 Atk/96 Def
Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Gyro Ball
- Spikes
- Rapid Spin
- Explosion

Forretress is sure to get down at least one layer of spikes. Gyro Ball is for taking down the faster opponents like Weavile and such. Spins away enemy spikes. And finally, explodes when finished.

---

Mamoswine (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Snow Cloak
EVs: 64 HP/252 Atk/192 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Ice Fang
- Ice Shard
- Stone Edge

LifeOrbSwine. Can rip through teams. Ice shard is especially helpful to outrun those fast attackers. Not much else to say here.

---

Suicune @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SAtk
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- HP Electric
- Surf
- Roar
- Calm Mind

When I lay down my spikes, I usually switch to Suicune to Roar other teams and cause tons of damage without even trying. Can also CM to sweep with Surf and HP Elec. It's amazing how well Cune can take a hit.

---

Cresselia @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 20 HP/252 Def/236 SpA
Modest Nature (+SpA, -Atk)
- Reflect
- Moonlight
- Ice Beam
- Thunder Wave

Trying this Cresselia out. Seems pretty good, as it has Reflect to shorten the damage taken from physical attacks, and recovery, status move, and Ice Beam. May change back to T-Tar if it doesn't work out.

Okay, so, rate or hate, or whatever. Constructive comments, please.

I don't think Forretress needs a Sash. His defence is great, you should only switch him in on Phys. attackers!

I like your Crobat, but maybe you should drop Cross Poison as it coverage is already provided by Brave Bird. Maybe switch it to U-Turn?

Maybe put Superpower on Mamo, over Ice Fang.
Suicune and Umbreon seem great!

I'm sorry if I'm not much help, but I'm only a beginner!

Is your Crobat needing those SpD EVs? You take 15% - 17.5% from Timid Shaymin-S Seed Flare. You also take: 45% - 53.44% from Air Slash. If you use 116 HP / 160 Atk / 232 Spe you only take 49.41% - 58.24% from Air Slash, yet it increases your Defense slightly. If you are specifically using Crobat to wall Shaymin-S I would use the EV spread recommended, especially as it actually guaruntees you OHKO with Brave Bird (currently you might not!)

Take Focus Sash off Forretress, and put on either Shed Shell or Leftovers. "Forretress is sure to get down at least one layer of spikes, if not two or three with that Focus Sash" is a bit of bad reasoning, due to Forretress' low Speed stat.

Umbreon seems very out of touch, why Curse to Crobat who likes his Speed, and to be honest it just doesn't seem to provide much for the team. I would use Choice Scarf Heracross: helping with Zapdos who seems to cause a bit of trouble to the team. It also provides a more stable way of dealing with Cresselia. Megahorn / Close Combat / Stone Edge / Pursuit is fine, with an Adamant nature.

Good luck! :]

Edit: Congrats on the badge Twash_Man

I agree with Twash on the Umbreon part, but I would try running a CB Tar over that, or hell a DD Tar could work just as well. A boah could even fit in here, however it really won't be as effective as the other 2, but it will provide a great wall breaker for Mamo and Crobat to wreak havoc throughout the battle. The CB and DD provides you with a solid late game sweeper, and an efficient way to deal with Cresselia/Zapdos/Celebi. I also second on changing that item to leftovers/shed shell. Leftovers right now is the better option, but it you're paranoid of Magnezone shed shell works just as fine.

On Crobat I would suggest u-turn over Cross Poison, but if that's been working for you don't try to fix what isn't broke. On your Suicune, I would probably see if you could somehow fit HP Elec on that set, so you're not so Gyarados prone. And lastly, have you ever considered Expert Belt/Life Orb over Choice Band. You lose some power, but you don't get locked in a move and have more freedom to do what you want.

I hope you take some of these into consideration, well good luck with the team. ^_^

On Forry, Focus Sash makes -1% sense. Since Rapid Spin is to get rid of Spikes and Stealth Rock, you have to walk in on them, nulling Focus Sash. Go with Shed Shell or Lefties.
And your EV's are incomplete on Mamo.

First of all, add pictures, it makes RMTs so much more enjoyable, and more intersting. Now to the rating...I would definitely agree with them...take the focus sash off of Forry, he is too bulky and it makes no sense. As for the team as a whole, it gets run over by MixApe, so you need a counter to him, Vaporeon or Gyarados being a good option. And as for the suicune, the set is OK...but I prefer a resting sleep talker, with surf and Calm Mind. You can replace CM with roar if you would like, but CM is the basis of any Suicune set.

Thanks for the crit. I guess I wasn't thinking about the Focus Sash thing. I'll add all your changes, thanks again.

If this is for Platinum(there is nothing to suggest otherwise), then Ice Beam on Tyranitar is a complete waste when Aqua Tail does the exact same thing, 2HKO Hippowdon and Gliscor. Crunch should handle Salamence enough, and it can't OHKO you anyways. Dragonite can survive an Ice Beam anyways, so that wouldn't be a valid reason either.

Actually, I've tried, and Ice Beam most of the time OHKO's Gliscor. I can always switch in Suicune on Hippowdon. And I don't need to worry about Dragonite (I don't think) because I have Ice Shard on Mamoswine. But thanks anyway.

Find no point on using TTar, else than it your team looks great. Reasons to frop TTar: No need for Sandstorm, it will damage your team. I think you dont need sash on foretress either, maybe lefties for soem reliable recovery. I woudl say drop suicune for vaporeon, it does about the same job AND has wish support for the whole team.
For the last spot I suggest a wall like Dusknoir or Cresselia to force switches and let your opponent die slowly from spikes or other hazards.
NOTE: In this case add more hazard like Stelaht Rock and if Possible Toxic Spikes.

I think I'm gonna keep Suicune just because it has overall more defenses. It can also CM and become near unstoppable. I think I'll try Cresselia, and if not, i'll just go back to T-Tar. K?
