INTRODUCTION
CHANGES WILL BE MADE IN RED
Team Building Proccess

Ahhh the mighty tyranitar and my favorite pokemon. He is tough enough to handle and take quite a few hits. Even if super effective he still is not planning on going down without putting his two bits worth in.

I wanted a sand abuser and this guy fills the slot quite well. With sand veil he has a 20 percent chance at dodging attack on top of its accuracy. It also can get swords dances in and sweep quite well. It is usually the dominator against other dragons

So weird looking yet so effective. He has two type immunities with his ability and item alone and can take and dish out special attacks quite well.

Who said fish cant be mean. This little fishy will be very annoying and is my status spreader and solution to physical sweepers (dragons, excadrills, etc)

Aww so cute yet it will cause you so many problems if you do not outspeed it and have super effective moves or have roar/whirlwind/dragon tail

Wow very mean looking indeed. He should of course because he is the speed of the team and will revenge kill quite a few pokes especially if mew does its job right.
Replaced my ALL MIGHTY garchomp with this lizard guy. Really sucks cause i got up to about 1350 rating then the garchomp ban came and now i sunk clear down to about 950 cause this guy is nothing compared to garchomp but i just cant seem to find a good replacement for garchomp.
The garchomp wanna-be had to step in because of the garchomp ban
IN DEPTH

Tyranitar
Impish
Focus Sash
Sand Stream
252 hp, 200 def, 56 sdef
MOVESET
Stealth Rock
Stone Edge/pursuit/Ice beam
Earthquake
Fire Blast
Pros
~very bulky lead
~can beat most leads
~can almost always set up stealth rocks
~Handles most other pokes quite well even on the switch
Cons
~Weak to fake out fighting type leads
~has a hard time with aerodactyl taunters
~no source of recovery
~tends to attract a lot of status conditions
Awww my defensive tyranitar looks so cute with its mouth open......not really but it is a beast at taking hits. With 404 hp, 376 sdef, and about 335 def he will not go down without a fight. I always try to get stealth rock up however if i can i will try to OHKO opponent. Even with no EVS he still has about 300 att and can OHKO scizor and ferrothorn with fire blast. He is my lead to set up sand storm as well. Sand storm is vital for my team to work. I find it very difficult to win without it (however it is not impossible) usually the only way i can win without this guy setting up sandstorm is with mews assistance. Can switch in on ghost/psychic attacks for free and laughs at those reunicles that try to calm mind it or switch out. Still not sure whether or not i should run ice beam.
Changes i am thinking about:
~Investing purely in all special defense so that he can just flat out wall any special attacking lead
~taking off 4 hp evs to invest in speed just in case i come into battle with other T-tars without speed investments.
OVERALL USEFULLNESS: 9/10
Flygon
Jolly
Leftovers
Levitate
252 att, 252 spe, 4 hp
MOVESET:
Fire Punch
Crunch
Dragon Claw
Earthquake
Pros
~Completely owns if it manages to get a +2 from rock polish and some in swords dance.
~Fairly good type coverage
~easy to set up on ferrothorn
Cons
~Not the slowest but not the fastest dragon in the world
~loses to air balloon heatran
~if no attack boosts gets whooped by gliscor
~If no speed boosts can get crushed by all other dragons
When i look at this guy i hate to say it but this is a garchomp wanna-be. He has the same types but just doesn't have the bulk to be a good replacement for garchomp. I have tried 4 different movesets on this guy and this one worked best but it still didn't work good. I NEED a good replacement for garchomp any help would be MUCH appreciated. As for his moves it is a standard all-out attack flygon. Fire punch for anybody who thinks they can toss an ice type on me. Dragon claw for other dragons, Crunch for those pesky psychics, and EQ for everything else. I mean he occsionally gets 1 or 2 KOs but he does not live up to the role i needed in this slot.
Changes i am thinking about
~REPLACING HIM
~uhhh replacing him
~maybe try and run a roost set again see if it works unlike last time
OVERALL USEFULNESS 3/10

Heatran
Air Balloon
Flash Fire
Calm
252 hp, 252 spa, 4 speed
MOVESET
Fire blast
Earth power
Hidden Power (ice)
Protect
Pros
~Provides 3 Immunities
~With balloon only has 2 weakness
~Can dominate with speed boosts
~good hp satt, def, and sdef
Cons
~Is very vulnerable without balloon
~not the greatest speed
~is 4x Weak to most common type without balloon
My heatran and special attacker. He has two immunities himself and is nasty to opponents who try to use fire moves on me or use the dreadful Will-o-Wisp. Fire blast is there for a strong STAB. Earth power for some good coverage and i ran HP ice>Dragon Pulse because i find that all dragons except for 3 are all 4x weak to ice. so il take that minor power lose to add another 2x bonus. Protect is there for scouting and stalling which is vital in this team. I need to know what my opponent is going to do so i can just gain the advantage and keep it. Changed to speed to beat other heatran who dont have speed investments.
Changes i am thinking about
~Taking about half the Spa EVs and investing into some sdef
~Taking about half the Spa EVs and investing into some def
OVERALL USEFULNESS 7/10

Jellicent
Water Absorb
Calm
252 hp, 252 spa, 4 sdef
Leftovers
MOVESET
Will-o-Wisp
Recover
Hydro Pump
Hex
Pros
~very good at crippling those machamp leads
~Good status spreader
~can sweep very well with speed boosts and opponent has status allignment
~Good source of recovery
Cons
~loses to verizion very easily
~has a hard time with rotom W
~Weak to fast dragons
This guy will annoy the snot out of you. He can Wow your team to crap if you dont KO him fast and recover to take practically no damage from physical sweepers. Hydro Pump is there for the hard STAB and hex is there because once i have WoWed you then this move is made stronger then shadow ball. His two special attacks are at a base power of 180, and 150 (if opponent has status condition) so if you want to bring in reunicles fine i can take him even if he calm minds because the standard reunicles cant beat this guy. The two moves he has to attack arent going to be doing much so he would prolly run. This guy gives me 3 immunities and pisses off a lot of people. Most say to change water absorb to cursed body and i tryed it. I prefer having that extra immunity.
Changes i am thinking about
~Changing hex to shadow ball
~Changing recover to pain split
~Changing hydro pump to Surf
Overall Usefullness: 7/10

Gliscor
Poison Heal
Toxic Orb
Bold
252 hp, 252 def, 4 sdef
MOVESET:
Baton Pass
Rock Polish
Swords dance
Substitute
Pros
~GREAT baton passer
~Can almost always pass a boost on to another pokemon
~Can stall quite well
Cons
~completely useless against taunters and whirlwinders
~hard to beat ice type moves that opponents tend to go to
This guy is great. The only thing it hates are taunters and whirlwinders. Howver i usually don't bring this guy in until i have KOd those threats. Once they are gone i can almost always get atleast a +2 in some stat. I usually start with speed because it can go to all others not just T-tar chomp and drill. Once i do if i still have one of the guys previously mentioned i swords dance. If not i keep using rock polish and BP to them. Heatran is my personal favorite of the two. He is already a demon wall with killer special attack. His only mediocre stat is speed and if you give him the wanted speed then he is a beast. Jellicent works well too because it annoys people by outspeeding them and WoW them before they attack. Either way as long as there isnt a taunter or whirlwinder this guy gets the boosts to someone else on my team. Also a sub gliscor with poison heal is a tough opponent now. So it lets me setup a lot easier.
Changes i am thinking about making
None this guy is my perfect baton passer. It works for me but if it doesn't work for you guys i am still open to suggestions
Overall Usefullness: 9/10 [without him my revenge killers (Exacdrill and was garchomp but is now Flygon) wouldn't be able to ko as much]

Excadrill
Life Orb
Adamant
252 att, 252 spe, 4 hp
Sand Rush
MOVESET
X-scissor
Brick break
Earthquake
Rock Slide
Pros
~Great sweeper especially with boosts
~excellent type coverage and can almost handle everything
~Good attack and speed
Cons
~usually dies if it doesnt OHKO opponent
~very fragile
~Low hp
ahhh my revenge killer number 2. He comse in usually at the very end of match and starts KOing everything it ees. I ran Brick break>swords dance due to those nasty balloon users especially fellow excadrills with balloon. He has great coverage and is my second option to pass those defensive boosts too from mew. You try facing an excadrill in sand with +6 in both defense and special defense. He has gerat coverage and can KO a lot of things. It serves its role quite well as well.
Changes i am thinking about making
~replacing brick break with swords dance
Overall Usefullness: 10/10
This team overall if spikes and such arent on my side it switches a lot unless it has boosts. It all together has 9 immunities that i can think of and a lot more resistances. I got every type either immune too, resisted, idk if there are any but very rarely normal effect agains my pokes. So why don't you try handling a team that does that. Also Flygon isn't performing as well as garchomp (never wouldve guessed ;-) But he was the only other ground/dragon type and so i went with him. I an open to suggestions but please no rude comments.
Hi all smogon viewers. This started out as inspiration from kevin Garret Stall but as i started getting more testing in and taking suggestions from players my team started doing quite well. It can deal minor damage from stall, set up some boosts for baton pass and then eventually come in for the revenge kill. I am a user who is still quite new to competetive play. I have only played competetively online for about 6 months. I started out with an idea and it just grew from there. I started with my favorite pokemon Tyranitar. He has been my favorite since the first time ive seen him. However with the recent ban of garchomp this team hasn't performed as well because i had to change it and now i am stuck in a rut and cant figure out how to fix it. So without further ado here is my team
