Introduction
Hello, I'm Demxer, you might know me as a bad and lucky player if you've caught me on the ladder, I've been playing UU since XY came out and Showdown has been treating me alright since then. This will be my first RMT and it's been fun writing this. n_n

I made this team a while ago, soon after the August drops and Coba had gained a ton of traction. I've made tweaks here and there and this team has helped carry me to 1550s on the ladder:(http://puu.sh/kVd0Z/311707c6f2.jpg)

The Team
638.png

Cobalion @ Leftovers
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Iron Head
- Substitute

Sub-SD Coba is definitely my favorite Coba set. It gets free subs on many things such as Mandibuzz, Umbreon, Stone Edge-locked attackers, Unboosted Cresselia, Forreetress, etc. Coba's ability to pressure opposing mons with it's speed and dual STAB helps it get subs up on the switch and allows you to scout opposing sets with minimal risk. This set gives a good range of utility and offensive pressure, yet at the cost of being hard walled by mons such as Doublade and Jellicent.

Reuniclus @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA / 4 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Psyshock
- Focus Blast
- Recover

CM Reuniclus makes a great pair with Cobalion because it's potential to set up on and break opposing wall mons, being able to rely on Coba to switch into Bug and Dark moves, and being a good status absorber. Psyshock is there for the obvious reason of being a good move, and Focus Blast allows a good prediction into a dark type to be rewarded fairly well.

Florges @ Leftovers
Ability: Flower Veil
EVs: 248 HP / 232 Def / 28 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast
- Wish
- Protect
- Heal Bell

With Coba and Reun being mostly physically bulky, having talented Sp.Def wall such as Florges makes a great fit onto the team. With this ev investment, Florges can wall physical moves as well as still being able to pivot into special attacks at lower percentages. Wish-Tect lets Florges wall a lot of attackers bar super-effective hits, drops, and good wall-breakers such as Chandy, and Wish support is just great in general. Finally, the cleric support is very good for this team, helping against Thunder Wave spammers, burns on physical attackers, and status on walls.

Mandibuzz @ Leftovers
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 248 HP / 132 Def / 128 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Foul Play
- Roost
- Defog
- Toxic

Mandibuzz gives good defensive typing coverage, notably for this team, being immune to ground and resisting ghost and dark. The team does have a sole dependence on Mandibuzz for that job so I gave it Lefties to maximize recovery. You might notice I don't have any other potential Knock Off users yet I carry Foul Play, I feel that Foul Play is better for this team as it punishes mons like Gatr for setting up in your face. Toxic, paired with the good recovery on the team and sub Coba, gives you stall potential on mons that you can't out-kill, but can just wall to death.
609.png

Chandelure @ Choice Specs
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shadow Ball
- Fire Blast
- Energy Ball
- Trick

The team deserved a good wall-breaker and Chandelure delivered. Energy Ball lets you land easy OHKOs or 2HKOs on mons weak to grass. Specs allows you chunk away at the opponents switch-ins, 2HKOing phys def Florges on the switch-in, and you can set yourself up a good Trick on mons that can switch in such as P2 and Blissey.
473.png

Mamoswine @ Life Orb
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Ice Shard
- Icicle Crash

Mamoswine takes the last slot of the team well, taking the role as an offensive rocks setter. Ice shard offers the team the only means of priority, but Mamoswine's power lets it land heavy chunks on faster and frail mons. And I figured if your team doesn't have a good Mamo switch in you might as well run your own.

Conclusion
To be frank, this team is a potpourri of offensive and bulky threats which I feel can take on a lot of the tier is some shape or form. The team has no kind of Volt Switch or U-turn meaning the user has to sac a mon for a free switch, but with the composition of the team, it's still possible to make safe switches and predicts and reward making good plays.

Importable

Threats
  • Solid Volt-Turn cores: With no Volt Switch or U-Turn itself, the team can get chipped down by very threatening Volt-Turn cores, for example: Beedrill/Rotom Mow
  • Crobat: With no flying resist, Sky Pl8 or Band Bat heavily dents this team, and can delay rocks and recovery with the use of Taunt
  • Suicune: With the only immediate options against Suicune being CM warring with Reuniclus and Chandy's Energy Ball, Suicune can stop momentum entirely.
  • Lucario: This team has trouble stopping a +2 Lucario, being able to out-prioritize Ice Shard, kill Coba with +2 Vacuum Wave, and dropping Florges with +2 Steel STAB.
Replays

Hi good team. Here are the changes I'd like to do:

First off, run 56 HP Evs on Cobalion over Attack to ensure that a Forretress Gyro Ball doesn't break your Substitute after -1. Next up, since you're weak to Suicune, I suggest running 56 Speed EVs with Taunt and Toxic on Mandibuzz to stop (Defog's important, but your team isn't weak to Stealth Rock). I think Knock Off over Icicle Crash on Mamoswine will be a solid idea since you'd wanna take away the pesky Eviolite from Porygon2, Doublade and Gligar and use Cobalion to pressure it more. Also, your team has no proper way of dealing with an Unburdened Slurpuff, so running Focus Sash over Life Orb on Mamoswine is an option.

Points for that awesome soundtrack.

My only suggestion would be tweaking the EV spread to Cobalion and Mandibuzz, as Arifeen already said.

The team looks good, but Imma rate it anyways!
  • First off, I agree with running the Speed EVs to Taunt Suicune on Mandibuzz, but I wanna expand on Arifeen's suggestion by running a specially defensive spread. This gives you a better answer to the Nidos, which are a bit of a problem for your team (even with Reuniclus, the rest of the team takes quite a bit of damage from them).
Mandibuzz (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 232 HP / 216 SpD / 60 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Foul Play
- Roost
- Taunt
- Toxic / Defog
  • Next I suggest running a physically defensive spread on Florges as this gives you a better answer to physical Fighting-types not named Cobalion. 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpA should suffice.
  • I agree with Arifeen's change of running Knock Off > Icicle Crash for the reasons he stated.
I really like the use of SubSD Cobalion on this team and congrats on the peak! :)

Hey, cool team you have got there. Even if I agree with the changes suggested by the other guys I think you can fixe some other weaknesses.

• Since you should run a specially defensive spread on Mandibuzz you're really weak to Gatr. Thats why I'd like to suggest having Whimsicott over Florges. You lose your Cleric to have an easier time with a bunch of dangerous threats in the UU metagame such as Feraligatr, DD Salamence and Slurpuff. It can also give you a good last resort in case Aerodactyl become too much of an issue thanks to Prankster Stun Spore. This team actually like U-turn because it can give you a free set up with Reuniclus or Cobalion and allow you to fire off free hits with your wallbreaker core.

Whimsicott @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 192 Def / 64 Spe
Bold Nature
- Stun Spore
- Giga Drain
- Moonblast
- Encore

Good luck with your team, hope I helped you to improve it. :]

Why is there a florges here o.o, I get that the teamslot takes some pressure off reun and mandi but that can be covered via a pretty minor set shuffle on cobal and chandy. Feel free to kill that flower for a more focused mstoise/general water check with defog/spin (mandi + reun already cover everything flower would)

If you swap chandy to a janky sub + CM + eball+fb and cobalion to a CC+Stone edge+sub+SD set you can have them play lure for each other, this would also help reduce the effect dragons/opposing chandys would have on the team overall and allow for more free play of mamoswine mandi and to a lesser degree reuniclus.
