POKEMON FANS ARE SO UNFUNNY ITS ACTUALLY RIDICULOUS. ALL THE JOKES ARE SEX SEX SEX VAPOREON????? AND NOW THEY HAVE ANOTHER ONE THAT THEY'RE GOING TO RUN INTO THE GROUND!!!! I REALLY LIKE TYPHLOSION AS A POKEMON AND NOW WHENEVER I BRING IT UP SOME 20 IQ DIPSHIT IS GOING TO BE LIKE "DID U KNOW THAT TYPHPLOSION IS ERM... NOT LIKE US?" I GENUINELY HOPE U DIE

I honestly don't see why Typhlosion is getting all the attention here if you look at it objectively. The first draft of the story is about Slaking (who has a separate one) and the final version has Piloswine in the same role. People should be looking at the tall Teddiursa story and talking about how awesome it is instead.

my guess is that typhlosion is the one people all know. slaking and piloswine is significantly less popular than one of the first starter pokemon which is why their stories are getting ignored more often

There is a story where Teddiursa and Ursaring get overhunted and burn down a village in revenge and it specifically makes a point out of a particular taller one making a dramatic point.

Anyone know the source? Is there like a github repo or mega folder with all the leaked info of the employees, game assets, design notes, etc alongside that stuff? Otherwise, i was told it was centro leaks that spread it, so id write it off as likely fake since i cant find anything conclusive
 
I don't think this is a big deal as some people are making. IMHO what we are seeing is the desire of an employee write those onto Pokemon. I do not think a Typhlosion raised by a good trainer would ever do something like this... Or even one in the wild. Slakoth even less because it has Truant so how does that even make sense. I would like to see Gamefreak investigate these writings. I can not imagine this would be okay at a place you work.

Game Freak admitted to a data breach and this stuff went from discord to 4chan to Centro as social media goes.

It is based on real folklore and has its roots in the final Sinnoh myths ingame about the people wearing Pokemon hides and the other infamous one. Look up the Haida Bear Mother myth as a close inspiration.
 
At some level, I'm glad there's a break in Ferrothorn being the butt of the joke. That one didn't even have any substance behind it, people just wanted to bully spiky boi.
 
leave it to the pokemon community to have trouble realizing fables have been around since ancient times. this whole backlash feels like someone who loved greek mythology because of percy jackson books having a horrifying realization that zeus fucked a horse.

might even be something related to a generation consideration of sex and abuse, but i'm not ready to have a serious intellectual debate, i'm here to shitpost
