In Control!

Hello Smogonites! I'm Charge and some of you might know me(people like Yamata, prem and etc) some of you don't. That's okay since I don't really mind(hurr hurr). But anyway, I quit Pokemon a while ago but came back after there's like nothing else to do. Thus, I start with the tier I am most familiar with, OU. Nothing much change, except for the Excadrill ban, which isn't too major. And uh...I kinda got bored of OU. Not because of Weather, but...I don't know. I don't enjoy OU at all. There isn't any Pokemon I like and I'm just kinda forcing myself to use things like Dragonite(I personally don't like Dragonite but anyways). People are saying that UU is just such a fabulous tier, thus I got into it and it was just amazing. I looked at the tier list, even though there are still things that I don't like(majority of the shit I like is in NU, and I'm not playing that just yet) but yeah, it seems more balance and yeah, you get the point. I tried to make a UU team after that. I must say, I am the worse team-builder ever. I can take days, and days, and weeks and NOTHING will come out. So I kinda just close my eyes and think of a combo that I like and build around it.

Team-building Process:

I am not gonna include pictures because I'm a lazy sack of shit :P

I really want to try Flygon + Rotom-H. It forces so many switch, it isn't even funny. And because from my experience, the thing you would want to have in a battle, is momentum. You would wanna be in control of the whole situation the whole time. And because I am such a lazy sack of balls, I just threw in a defensive core along with Flygon + Rotom-H.

Slowbro + Registeel + Roserade. Yeah, I just threw in this set of combo with a Golurk to spinblock. Until I realized it isn't working at all. So, I made a few changes with the help of some Smogon members in the PO server. I changed Registeel to Donphan because I desperately need to deal with Darmanitan(even though Slowbro can do it, I wanna lessen the load on him) and to spin because since Flygon + Rotom-H is constantly in and out, SR + Spikes are not appreciated. I changed Roserade to Scolipede because it just disappoints me. I don't know if I'm using wrong or what, but it just cannot take any hit. Yep yep, thus that's what my team is based on, so far.

Then, I realized I have nothing to deal with stall. I have absolutely NO Taunters at all. Thus, I took out Golurk and replaced it with Sableye.

And that's my team so far.

@ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 100 Atk / 156 Def
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Rapid Spin
- Ice Shard
- Earthquake

Yes. Donphan. The EVs might be a little strange, but it helps me tank things more than the 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def variants. It hits things hard enough already so I don't really care. I generally like to balance things out a little bit :D But anyway, SR is compulsory. I need SR. It's like a must. Flygon + Rotom-H forces switch and SR will wear them down in order for Flygon to sweep through them. Or Rotom-H, whatever. It depends. Ice Shard for those Flygons and Dragons and Roserades that try to set up on me. Really, Ice Shard is just pure sex. It eliminates tons of things that are weak to Ice already. Earthquake is just for that Darmanitan and random fire types but most importantly, my STAB. I tried to replace Ice Shard with Stone Edge but it isn't doing as much shit as Ice Shard will.

@ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Outrage
- U-turn
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge

Choice Scarf Flygon. Flygon, one of my favourite Dragons is usable. Holy. That's what I'm saying. Outrage is for late-game sweep. Or if I can just pull it off mid-game or so, I will just do it and get the fuck out after it's done with his business. U-Turn is the main focus point. I mean, U-Turn is just so sexy. It scouts. Yeah sure, it only scouts but in return, I got back the momentum that I lost a while ago. It allows me to be in control everytime. And it gives that offensive pressure to the opponent, which is crucial. Earthquake + SE is for coverage. I hardly touch them. Outrage + U-Turn is what I need(mostly).

@ Choice Specs
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Overheat
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Trick

CS Rotom-H. People are telling me to use Scarf. While I am not outspeeding as much things as Scarf, I deal a lot more damage to them. Nothing appreciates a Specs-Boosted Overheat. Not even Slowbro or Rhyperior(the last Rhyperior I faced took a 75% Overheat, not sure what variant it is but still). Overheat is just...okay. Let's put it this way. Chuck Norris on steroids. Pro stuff. Volt Switch is, again, the focus here. Volt Switch + U-Turn. Flygon + Rotom-H. It's like the Scizor + Rotom-W in OU. HP Grass to hit that Rhyperior hard and occasional Slowbro crazy enough to switch into me. Trick is just retardedly RETARDED BRO. Chansey? You're only that sexy with that Eviolite. Without it, hurr hurr. HURR HURR. DERP. LOL. /end troll.

@ Leftovers
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Scald
- Thunder Wave
- Psychic
- Fire Blast

And speaking of derp. May I introduce you, to Mr Derpster. My team pretty much cannot survive without Slowbro. It's so fucking good! I spread T-Wave to everybody and cripple them for the rest of the match. Sexy move, I know, I know. Scald is for burns. It's for that Arcanine who thinks he can Wild Charge me into Oblivion. NO(even though it might just be able to but whatever). But overall, Scald helped me with a lot of things. Everybody appreciates Burn, duh. Psychic is a neat STAB move and Fire Blast will mutiliate that Evio Ferro or Escavalier. DERP.

545.gif
@ Life Orb
Trait: Swarm
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Spikes
- Toxic Spikes
- Megahorn
- Earthquake

Possibily the weakest link in my team. It isn't even doing anything except for Spikes and TSpikes. Well, it's doing something, but it does the most insignificant things most of the time. I think I'm just not using him enough. I will test him out more and get back to you :D Do suggest something over this dude if possible. Megahorn still hits retardedly strong and EQ is for coverage. Adamant nature? Strange? Nope. Because Scolipede is already so fast, Adamant is for that extra ommph.

302.gif
@ Leftovers
Trait: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 120 Def / 136 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Will-O-Wisp
- Taunt
- Recover
- Night Shade

Helllooooo Sableye. I usually lead with Donphan to lure out those things that can shut down Donphan early in the game. Things like Ambipom is retarded to face. WoW and the rest of the match, he's no threat. Azumarill? Burn. Whatever shit that comes in, I will just WoW / Taunt accordingly. Recover is to stall that Burn or TSpikes if Scolipede manages to set up. Night Shade is just...well, really just for an attack.

So, here's my team. I won more matches than I lost but really, I want to just try and improve my team no matter what and I feel that something is terribly missing and I seek your help! Thanks!

Nice team. I'm not great at rating, but one thing I suggest, if you want Spikes, is to use a specially defensive Roserade>Soclipede. Having the burden of Life Orb and two different hazards is quite the task, especially when you add in its relative lack of bulk.

Roserade@Leftovers
248 HP / 244 SDef / 16 Spd
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb/Toxic Spikes
- Spikes
- Rest

Giga Drain is the preferred STAB for the better coverage and the ability to regain your own HP. Sludge Bomb/Toxic Spikes is up to you, weather or not you feel you need Toxic Spikes. Sludge Bomb is good because it allows you to hit grass types really hard, since even uninvested Rose has some where near 300 SpA (like 286?). The EV's are for maximum special bulk, seeing as how her defense is pitiful anyway, I don't like to invest in it. The 16 Spd EV's are for a bit of speed creeping, out-creeping any creepers creeping. Roserade also gives you a nice F/W/G defensive core as well as something to sponge strong special water attacks, which you lacked before.

Also, for Donphan, you could try Heysup's EV spread which has always worked well for me: 252 HP / 144 Atk / 96 Def / 16 Spd. Not that yours is bad, I just know that Heysup really knows what he's talking about.
Hope I helped, good luck with the team.

EDIT: I just saw that you replaced Roserade with Soclipede, but I don't get why. What set did you use?

Yeah i will try out Heysup's Donphan spread. It seems more organized than mine lol. But is there any particular reason for that spread? And yeah, i used the exactly same moveset for Roserade but a different EV spread. The analysis one. I am using my iPad to reply so i cant check it out. The reason i am switching Roserade out is that she isn't really tanking anything at all. Okay she is but she just isnt working as well. I think I am just thinking too much. I will try out Roserade. Thanks for the rate!

I really don't like the spread on site. Pretty much Rose sets up on Registeel, and bulky waters/grasses. Thats why I feel having more special defense is better.

Yep i switched out Scolipede for Roserade and it worked out brilliantly! Thanks for all your help! The team has been working out better than before but something went terribly wrong.

Shell Smash Omastar fucked me over. Like totally. Nothing on my team managed to outspeed it and it just run through my entire team. And LO Zapdos fucked with everybody too. But i misplayed during the LO Zapdos match so...but it still managed to cause distress. Which is why I sm asking for opinions because every member of my team seems so crucial and I sm not sure what to switch out.

NOTE: i will edit the OP as soon as i get home

Hehe, I sorta helped you make this team! nyway, psychic should definitely be replaced with slack off on slowbro, to allow him to continually tank and outstall Pokemon without having to switch, I don't see psychic providing too much utility. Seeing as you are unhappy with your spiker, I really would give rose rade another try, she is overall a much better choice than scolipede IMO, beefing much less of a suicide bomber, but also being able to efficiently scare off spinners and spike. Seeing that you thought he was too weak uninvested, you could try an offensive spiking set of
252 sp. atk 252 speed 4hp
Timid
life orb/black sludge
giga drain/leaf storm
sludge bomb
spikes
rest/HP fire
He hits much harder than scolipede, while also forcing so much shit out and having more staying power- he's not the no1 poke for no reason! Anyway that's all I can think of ATM as I'm fairly tired, GL!

I tried out Godsend's build and it was brilliant so atm, I'm using that. I have problems handling Shell Smash Omastar and LO Zapdos. But you're right. Psychic is really useless for me. Thanks for e suggestions! Keep them coming guys

If anything, Slowbro needs Psyshock>Psychic since it can OHKO offensive Roserade switching in. The only thing I can think of to help fix your problems is to change Flygon to Jolly so it can revenge Timid Omastar and Zapdos.

Scolipede can be given more utility by replacing one of Toxic Spike or Spikes for Swords Dance, and Earthquake for Stone Edge. Probably Toxic Spikes, because of the prevalence of Roserade and also your team isn't very stallish.
