In Need of Help With a First Team

Hello and thank you for checking the thread out, as you can probably tell I'm a noob and would like some critique for my first team I've built. I've used it quite a bit but need help with fine tuneing.

It has no real theme but I tried to use pokemon that work well together

Lead Jolly Ninjask with a focus sash

Protect
Swords Dance
Baton Pass
X-scisor

Nothing Special Here. buffs with Swords dance, stalls then passes to the appropriate attack. Later in the game when my sweepers are down I will just send him out to give one of my pokes a much needed speed boost, they could all use it.

252Def/252SpDef/4Speed

Generic Sweeper Garchomp with Life Orb
Jolly Nature

Outrage
Earthquake
Fire Fang
Swords Dance

252Att/252Speed/4Hp
There's not much to say here. Hopefully I get boost from Ninjask and I try to sweep until life orb kills me or I hit myself in confusion. Nothing special.

Stalling/Spikeing Ferrothorn with leftovers
Sassy

Protect
Leech Seed
Power Whip
Spikes

It's meant to set up spikes, and stall with leech seed, protecting to double my boost I get leftovers and leechseed. It has power whip to get in on the offensive if need be. It really rapes bulky waters.

136HP/120Def/252SpDef

Jolly Choice Band Gallade

Close Combat
Psycho Cut
Ice Pawnch
Trick

Typical Choice stuff. I often pass to him becuase alot of times I switch my garchomp into an icebeam, which is a big no-no. It also really needs the speed boost. I rarley use trick though, I don't have the time for it, it's really rather frail.

252Att/252Speed/4HP

Timid Heatran With an Air balloon

Fire Blast
Stealth Rock
Earth Power
Explosion

Still debating whether to use a Shuca barry or not. It's an all around special sweeper and pretty defensive. At the end I try to explode myself, but I rarley get aroud to it. Stealth rock is there incase I get an extra turn, but I may switch it out with a steel move of some sort for a STAB

20Def/20SPdef/216SpAtt/252Speed

Careful Curselax

Curse
Earthquake
Body Slam
Self Destruct

176HP/24Att/104Def/204SpDef

Gotta love the classics.

The General Idea is to baton pass to garchomp or Gallade, sweep and I wing the rest useing the type coverage I have and try to set up spikes with Ferrothorn somewhere in the mix. Snorlax is generally my final gambit, as I can sometimes get him set up with 3 curses and he becomes a powerhouse. Because of this I might switch self destruct with protect, to span out my leftover recovy a bit more. I might want to edit my Gallade also, as I rarley get to use trick. I really need help with moveset editing and and pokemon I should switch out for something else.

Snorlax has become generally useless in 5th gen, if you want a curse user TTar is a better bet and Sandstream only effects Gallade and Ninjask and after he's passed Ninjask is not coming back in so its not a huge disadvantage. I might be back later with more suggestions when I'm not feeling so lazy.

Thanks, I'll look into tyranitar sets, but I'm hesitant to put something with as many common weaknesses as Tyranitar. Surf and grass moves are pretty common. I'd like a bulky pokemon in that posistion, so tyranitar may be able to fill that role.
