In your opinion, who are the best users of each Choice item?

Scarf: Gengar or typlosion. HIT EM WITH AN ERUPTION!

Band: Tar. It sits there and munches on shit all day. However, it ties with CBGross, who hits anything in it's path with a 657 Attack 60BP Priority move.

Specs: Tran. Specsmence IMO Was overhyped. Seriously, this is how to deal with mence 95% of the time (Barring the CBCrunch mence)

1. Switch to a Mixed wall.
2. If it DD's, or Does a physical move, switch to *Generic physical wall*
3. If it does a special move, and does decent damage, switch to *Generic special wall*
4. If your opponent is into unorthadox sets, or the special attack does pitiful damage, then stay in. it's a Mixmence.

ScarfChomp? How can you guys not mention ScarfChomp? Specs would have to be Lucario, mainly because it let's it do what every special attacker wishes it could do, 2hko blissey. Band...idk, most likely a pursuiter like T-tar. My personal favorite Choicebander is Azzumarril, not the best however.

Not saying it's the best, but it certainly is quite a popular one. I'm a big scarf gar and scarftran fan myself, however I don't mind the occasional scarf'd butterfree lead! Quick compound eye sleep powder.

agreeing with tar/mence for cb/cs ;D

although gengar isnt walled like mence so e__e

i really like scarf heatran x(

yeah i really like scarftran too. it still hits real hard with fire blast.

CB metagross is a beast too. i think the usage has gone down, but it is a potential team killer.

specs? not sure. i don't think there's really a special version of close combat where you can just use again and again.

Dugtrio. While perhaps not the most hard-hitting of pokemon, Dugtrio benefits more from choice band than almost anything else I can imagine.

CBTar takes the cake for Band.
Moltres for Scarf (just imo)
I like SpecsTran, but ill have to go SpecsMence over it

cant believe i have to reiterate this even though i put it in the rules to avoid threads like this:

"Do not create threads that do not support discussion. Creating an entire thread to ask a simple question is not acceptable; do a Google search for that stuff. All thread starters are required to provide a good basis for discussion in their opening post." This means that "what pokémon/move/ability is your favorite/is most overrated" threads should be considered with an "And why?" every time. When you remember that this is a competitive battling forum first and foremost, you will remember that this mindset will help to promote keen discussion beyond simple "x pokémon/move/ability is y/z" answers.

otherwise this thread is just a pointless list of pokemon with item, read the first couple of posts to see what i'm talking about if you are wondering why i'm being big bad jumpman again

Band: Garchomp

Garchomp's 130 base attack combined with 102 base speed is much more menacing than the base 80 speed of Heracross, and whatever Tyranitar's is. Combined with two STAB attacks of 100 BP or more, CB Garchomp easily 2HKO's almost every pokemon sent in to wall it, not including Skarmory (though this can be changed by using Fire Blast). Earthquake and Outrage take pokemon like Swampert, Cresselia, Zapdos, Vaporeon, and many others right out of them game.

Scarf: Heatran

This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. Heatran has a great SpAtk stat, and boasts a rather good movepool, despite having to use a Hidden Power as an Electric or Ice attack. Fire Blast is a great attack to make up for the loss of power compared to specs, and Heatran's Flash Fire makes this even more formidable. Heatran also has some great resistances, making switching in that much easier.

Specs: Lucario / Porygon-Z

Lucario: Aura Sphere is just a beastly move all in all. 2HKOing Blissey, and basically everything else in OU. Lucario also gets Dark Pulse or Shadow Ball, to complete the duo. Hidden Power Ice takes down Salamence, who is otherwise a decent counter to this set. Finally, we have the icing on the cake: Vacuum Wave. Vacuum Wave is a great priority move, coming off STAB and over 500 SpA. A great thing to know, is that so many, otherwise threatening pokemon, can be OHKO'd by Vacuum Wave. Lucario can come into both of Tyranitar and Weavile's STAB attacks, and threaten a OHKO. Heatran takes around 70% from Vacuum Wave. I don't even want to start listing the things VW hits neutral that take big damage from it.

Porygon-Z: This may seem like an odd choice, but it shouldn't. Tri Attack is a 160 BP attack coming from Porygon-Z's base 135 SpA, boosted to 607. Not to mention the 20% chance of status. Porygon-Z also has a great movepool to back up Tri Attack, including Ice Beam, Thunderbolt and Dark Pulse/Shadow Ball. The amount of pokemon 1-2HKO'd by this monster is huge. The reason I can't put Porygon-Z as the definate best specs user is because Blissey can still stop it (only to a certain extent though. Status, crits or just a weakened Blissey means that Porygon-Z wins).

I think you can tell from my list that I'm not much into OU.

Scarf: Gardevoir

Hey, I gave Scarf Gardevoir popularity. Honestly, what did you expect from me?

Band: Mamoswine. I find it to be a beast with it, even though I don't often play OU, odds are I have this guy in my team when I do.

Specs: Shaymin. Seed Flare says sup.

Choice Band: Metagross would win my vote. It has one of the strongest base attacks in the game, the strongest CB user to have a priority attack in bullet punch, and not to mention a fairly painful 100 STAB Meteor Mesh with the chance of an additional attack increase.

Choice Specs: I haven't battled enough with Choice Specs to make a final decision for this one. However, from my battle experiences so far, Charizard has been the best for me, especially with Overheat and Focus Blast in his disposal.

Choice Scarf: Typhlosion. If you don't have a resistance to Fire on your team once this guy comes out, this guy can cause trouble! A STAB'ed 150 base power move in Eruption and it has 100 base speed with a choice scarf to out-run nearly every other choice scarf user to ensure the powerful attack will go off before taking a hit.

Scarf has to be Typhlosion. Back him up with a spinner and some sunny day support and you've got a ridiculously overpowered sweeper, who functions well in the early-game with Eruption and in the late-game with Blaze-boosted Fire Blasts.

Choice Band would have to be Gallade. Nothing switches into that thing safely.

Specs Heatran is pretty beastly. He's got base 120 STAB, decent defenses to make up for the speed problems he suffers from as well as loads of resists to come in on.

Scarf - ..... TOGEKISS

Specs - Lucario, just because it's so hard to wall that set.

Band - really doesn't matter. Stick it on anything with high attack and powerful attacks. They all work well.

And now for something (not completely) different

Specs: Lucario
2hko on blissey? Yes, please

Scarf: T-tar
outspeeds the base 115's. Great for leading, it may not outspeed every lead, but it 1hko's a lot of pokes that think they can get away with murder such as infernape (EQ), breloom (fireblast or ice beam), non-scarfed gengar and dragons. and it royally screws over sashers

Band: Snorlax - he really doesn't have the SpDef to wall anymore and the prevalance of Close Combat means that Snorlax receives a swift kick in the gonads should he try to curse. He can take a hit from gengar and hit back with pursuit/crunch and isn't as screwed by its original counter (skarm) thanks to fire punch.
