Hello everyone,

I have officially taken down all of my artwork and posts here on Smogon. While I still like Pokemon, this Smogon account is inactive, and I would not like to monitor or post my artwork anymore. I have also removed some of my older comments, as they also are not indicative of my current self in real life. Thank you everyone for your support and interest.

It's so cool getting to see your process! I've always had weird problems with the Draw Inside mode; it felt like it would only sometimes work, and other times it just wouldn't let me select the mode at all on certain shapes? I'm sure there's a reason for it, but I stopped trying to figure it out, and found my own workarounds. Seeing your way of doing it kinda makes me wanna try it again though! The Kyurem illustration itself is also just really solid, too. I like its curved pose and the way the flames running through the tubes are rendered, among other things.

Your legendaries series in the previous post is great too! I can see the improvements from when you posted the WIP in the RMA thread, like the added depth to the black crystals on Dusk Mane and Dawn Wings Necrozma, Zacian's more defined fur, tail, and sword, and the more detailed lighting and shading all around. I really like the lime green colors on Xerneas' lower half. With those green energy spikes and colored leaves, I can tell that we're seeing it in the middle of a Geomancy.

Out of curiosity, do you make your drawings entirely in Illustrator from start to finish? For me, I draw a physical sketch on paper and take a photo of it, or occasionally do a digital sketch in Photoshop with a tablet, before bringing that sketch into Illustrator and tracing it.
 
Your forest painting turned out really well! The trees have a harder, more "scratchy" texture, while the leaves and bushes are softer and blend together more. The bits of highlights on the water's surface help sell its reflectiveness, and I like that teal color used for the water, broken up by the darker reflections of the trees. I think you could sell the depth of the scene a little more by going darker with and adding further texture to the background, but it still looks great as is.

That big panel of the Galarian legends is looking good, too. Can't wait to see it finished!

It has been a LONG time since I posted anything here recently. I am sorry for the long period of inactivity, as for the past year and a half, I have been focusing on completing my CS degree and in particular, my health has not been doing so good. Whatever I am experiencing, it currently fatigues me very badly and combined with numerous medical visits, I have not been able to complete any WIPs or do any digital artwork. I hope I can start again soon.

That being said, I am wondering if I should keep my Smogon art thread, and by extent Smogon account open. Twitter is slowly becoming a hellscape to post any art there and staying there is a large liability. I am currently on Tumblr as well, and I am aware that there are some people on here know me for the art I did in the past for tournaments and tiers. I am also thinking about advertising art commissions, but went not good on Twitter, so I was wondering doing so here would be successful. However, my main interest has and always will be Sonic, so I am not sure if I should delete my account here, use this thread as an archive, or post here as well. I would appreciate any experienced Smogon artists' or moderators advice or input.

Hey I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for your situation, it must be quite troublesome with everything that's going on rn. As for the second part of the post, I see no reason why you should delete your smogon account. I'm not an expert when it comes to commissions but I think that if you are looking for visibility then the more accounts you have, the better. You never know what interests people may have on this site, just think that I once met a guy here that was obsessed with digimons lol.
I hope things will get better and I wish you good luck with everything ^^
