Inheritance [Prime Council Elected]

This isn't the most original set ever (Lcass used it before me, for one) but here's a nice stall win condition:

Suicune (inherits from Masquerain) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
- Roost
- Ice Beam
- Scald
- Quiver Dance

This switches in to physical attackers and Intimidates them so they do virtually no damage against the physically defensive set. On the opponent's switch you can set up Quiver Dance. Masquerain's Roost is helpful because it means you don't have to run RestTalk like CroCune usually does. The main flaws of this set are its being unable to touch bulky Water-types and its very low power in general. For the most part, though, it's a direct upgrade over standard CroCune.

xJownage

Even pendulums swing both ways
It's not about liking. It's sweeping half the Metagame. Smogon Bird is terrifying in OU. Imagine how something that has almost 175% its Base Stat in Attack must be. Not to mention the HP to squeeze in more Banded Brave Birds or Roost off damage in a Bulky SD set.
not the point; the point is that there are better ways to fill the role of revenge killer and cleaner. Also you won't clean too much with gale wings since espeed and glalie are everywhere.

Cofagrigus @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Harvest
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SDef
+SDef -SAtk Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Substitute/Leech Seed
- Curse
- Infestation

Much, much better than its original usage. Very hard to break. Alternately, Prankster WillO and Recover from Sableye is great too.

So is Levitran and Scarfed DL ErupTran. That doesn't make Glalie any less viable.

There are very little ways to revenge better than Landorus-T's BandBird set. The raw power is too much to ignore.

Just wanted to note some givers that I think have a lot of potencial, first is Mawile, it has Intimidate and Sheer Force, both pretty good, a variety of coverage options and SuckerP and Koff! Might work pretty well with TTar. Another one is Darkrai, it also has Koff and SuckerP plus Dark Void and a array of coverage moves that really only lacks fire moves. Seviper is also cool thanks too Coil, SuckerP and Koff, it also has pretty decent coverage and Switcheroo. I wanted to talk about M-Absol too since he has Magic Bounce and Koff and SuckerP (I think you get the pattern), it also has Play Rough and some others moves, specially support. Hitmonlee also follows the trend but it only has Ground and Fighting coverage that really matters, Unburden is also nice. The one that doesn't follow trends is Pangoro, but you all know how good Parting Shot is, and Koff and Drain Punch are cool, the highlights for me are Dragon Claw and EQ which means it could be used with Garchomp on a scarf set.

Snaquaza and I were talking about how dangerous Mold Breaker chomp would be with Pangoro's movepool. Besides it's raw power, it deals with Levitran incredibly well, and with the importance of abilities in this meta, I can see it taking on a lot more utility as well.

Garchomp @ Choice Scarf/Choice Band/Leftovers/Lum Berry
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Outrage
- Knock Off
- Parting Shot/Swords Dance

This is the set I see taking rise as one of the more prominent wallbreakers or just all-out attackers. The choiced sets will, in my opinion be the most important to the metagame, as wallbreaking and setting up can easily turn the momentum the other way. Since Garchomp is so weak to E-Speed Glalie and Altaria, the choice sets ability to lure in and debilitate such sweepers with parting shot will come in particularly helpful.

I can see Parting Shot into an -ate check to be instrumental in taking down the ever so popular HO archetype that I've seen observing these recent battles.

Parental Bond in my mind, was THE biggest problem with stall in this meta, so many mons had insane wallbreaking capabilities just because they Inherited from Kanga, and I'm happy to see more viability for Aggron and the lot. Don't get me wrong, I still believe there is some unbalance in this meta in terms of the raw power that -ate E-Speed holds over both Offense and Stall, but this is a huge leap. I knew from the beginning that this meta - like AAA - would take some banning to get off the ground, but at this rate I can see an incredibly balanced and playable meta, that I personally, know I will vote for for OMotM March.

Scizor @ Leftovers
Ability: Primordial Rain
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Iron Head
- Toxic
- Roar
- Protect
Takes from Primal Kyogre. You can also use Forretress for more phyiscal bulk, but less special.
It has no weaknesses thanks to Primordial Rain. EVs and nature are to maximize its bulk. Iron Head provides a STAB attack, and Toxic/Roar are to spread status. Protect allows it to get more recovery from leftovers and stall with Toxic poisoning.

- Wish
- Protect
- Will-O-Wisp
I think this set outclasses yours in a lot of ways (unless moldy really becomes a thing) having reliable recovery and supportive abilities. Ff is also more subtle than primordial sea so you can often get a free turn from your opponant trying to land a fire type move.
Primordial sea also makes you lose your water resistance.

Here's something that i've been using to stop mega pinsir and limitate gale wings spam

Doublade @ Eviolite
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 188 Atk / 68 Def
Impish/Lax Nature
- Recover
- Shadow Claw
- Thunder Wave/Roar
- Roar/Ice Beam/Protect

(Inherited from latios)
This set stops the mega -ates that inherit from lucario, but at the same time gets threatened by those that inherit from arcanine. Doublade actually can take physical fire move decently, as the ev's are so that it lives two banded flare blitz's from lando after rocks. As for the moveset, the first two moves are pretty obvious, and the last couple slots can be filled with thunder wave/roar to spread status and phase out. You could also run ice beam for a reliable 2hko on lando's that don't carry roost, or protect to scout.

Not really an oversight, but far more broken Abilities on powerful mons would invalidate it. Arena Trap Hippo could be a thing, though.
It doesn't get a recovery move though, which would limit its trapping abilities. I would run something like scarf arena trap Landorus-T. It may not get U-turn, but it doesn't really need it now that you don't have to predict switches. I think it has the potential to be really good.

Hmm.. Landorus-T could be nice. It gets Earthquake, Sucker Punch and Stealth Rock from Dugtrio. Also Memento, but I'm not sure how that'd go.

High Linoone (Pinsir) @ Pinsirite
Ability: Quick Feet
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Belly Drum
- Extreme Speed
- Shadow Claw
- Return/Seed Bomb/Roar/Super Fang/Simple Beam

Aerilate + Belly Drum + Espeed - Unaware users - Mega Aggron - Stealth Rock = win?

Shadow Claw hits most Flying resists neutrally. Return and Seed Bomb both net a few more KOs for Pinsir, Roar lets you fuck with predicted switches for some free damage (only for brave people), Super Fang lets you slowly work your way through Unaware users, while Simple Beam lets you just bypass them with another turn of setup.

Probably pairs well with Magnet Pullers (or Arena Trappers, if that stays unbanned somehow). Speaking of, working off of Probopass's superior (compared to Magnezone) movepool, Landorus and Thundurus might be your best choices for a Magnet Puller -- between Earth Power, Volt Switch, Thunderbolt, and HP Fire, I can't think of any Steel-type that could take them on except Specially Defensive Levitate Heatran, which neither can 2HKO. Pinsir, however, usually OHKOs that Heatran with +6 Espeed. Regardless, the niche over Arena Trap is having a good special movepool, which really helps in conjunction with Linoone-Pinsir, since physical walls need removal.

Aaaand speaking of Levitran, it has a plethora of viable options for Levitate (I'll just list what seems to make each stand out from other options):
  • Azelf, which donates a good Special movepool, Screens, Taunt, Stealth Rock, Nasty Plot, and Calm Mind.
  • Carnivine, which donates Gastro Acid, Infestation, Leech Seed, Sleep Powder, and Synthesis, but jack shit in the way of a special movepool.
  • Chimecho, which donates Calm Mind, a Special movepool that lacks a STAB, Calm Mind, Disable, Heal Bell, Healing Wish, Screens, Recover, Taunt, Thunder Wave, and Yawn.
  • Cryogonal, which donates Flash Cannon, Haze, Screens, Rapid Spin, and Recover.
  • Eelektross, which donates Acid Spray, Dragon Tail, a worthy Special movepool, Gastro Acid, Light Screen, Roar, Super Fang, Thunder Wave, and Volt Switch. (The fuck is up with Eelektross's movepool?)
  • Flygon, which donates Defog, a great Special movepool, Dragon Tail, Roost, Tailwind, and U-Turn.
  • Gengar, which donates Clear Smog/Haze, a STABless Special movepool, Destiny Bond, Disable, Infestation/Mean Look, Pain Split, Perish Song, and Will-o-Wisp.
  • Giratina-Origin, which donates a STABless Special movepool, Defog, Destiny Bond, Pain Split, Roar, Tailwind, and Will-O-Wisp.
  • Hydreigon, which donates a great Special movepool, Reflect, Roar, Roost, Tailwind, Taunt, Thunder Wave, and U-Turn.
  • Latias, which donates a STABless Special movepool, Defog, Healing Wish, Screens, Recover, Roar, Tailwind, and Wish.
  • Latios, which is the same as Latias except Memento instead of Healing Wish and no Wish.
  • Mesprit, which donates no STAB, Healing Wish, Screens, Stealth Rock, and Thunder Wave.
  • Solrock, which donates Baton Pass, a good Special movepool, Calm Mind, Cosmic Power (only relevant b/c of Baton Pass), Screens, Morning Sun, Rock Polish, Stealth Rock, and Will-O-Wisp.
  • Mismagius, which donates Fire Blast/Flamethrower, Destiny Bond, Heal Bell, Mean Look, Memento, Pain Split, Perish Song, Thunder Wave, and Will-o-Wisp.
  • Rotom-Heat, which donates Screens, Overheat, Pain Split, Volt Switch, and Will-O-Wisp.
  • Unown, which donates Hidden Power of literally any type.
  • Uxie, which donates a STABless Special movepool, Heal Bell, Screens, Memento, Stealth Rock, U-Turn, and Yawn.
  • Weezing, which donates Clear Smog/Haze, a usable Special movepool, Memento, Pain Split, Taunt, Toxic Spikes, and Will-O-Wisp.

Basically, for your levitran, ctrl+f that wall of text for the things you want and see what you get. Carnitran new meta

Also, recommending an unban of Greninja because there are a multitude of good Protean abusers (both with Greninja's and Kecleon's movepool) and a lot of general power creep, and its typing+stats don't lend it to being superb at any particular role. With Blaziken's ability and movepool up for grabs, there's no particular reason to leave Blaziken banned either (unless it's decided that it cannot donate) (and I won't speak to Mega Blaziken either). And just going off of my experience in AAA, Genesect, Deoxys-D, and Shaymin-Sky might not be OP, though I'm not completely sure on whether the offensive and defensive strategies are comparable to what they are in AAA.

Isn't this effectively the same as Mega REvolution as far as Megas are concerned? Well, except you don't have to worry about HP or about differing typings between base form and Mega.

Hey guys how Viable do you think this will be

Blastoise @ Blastoisite
Abillity: Drizzle
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Origin Pulse
- Thunderbolt / Thunder
- Ice Beam
- Calm Mind / Ancient Power

Inherited from Kyogre. Meet Mega Blastoise, destroyer of worlds. It has access to something even the kind of water types (Kyogre) is jealous of. Access to Origin Pulse, Drizzle as a pre mega abillity, and Mega Launcher as a post mega abillity. This pretty much equates to the ulitmate Wall breaker. It also has Boltbeam coverage against the pokes who resist Origin Pulse. Calm Mind is for even more power, and if you feel like taking down possible Fire type Desolate Land users, you can use Ancient Power
Why would you use Drizzle over Primordial Sea, which reduces your reliance on Ancient Power pre-Mega because you can switch in and remove their pretty little weather? Also lasts forever until switch, yes, even post-Mega.

Huh, it does? I always assumed that when the Ability changed, the effect would go away.

Someone can test this real quick with Primordial Rain and Simple Beam (Opponent).

I believe this was tested in AAA or Ability Unity, if someone can find the post or reconfirm this, that would be great.

EDIT:
So after testing, desolate land does persist upon mega evolving. Thus making mega camerupt a really good sweeper under the sun and trick room
Wait are you serious

This shouldn't actually happen; the weather is supposed to be programmed to disappear once the Pokemon that brought it in loses the ability. Sorry to say, it's a Showdown glitch that needs patching. So no super-sun abuse for you
Ok, not supposed to happen but was happening. What I wonder is is it fixed yet?

Hey guys, it's enough with the thank posts. It was funny at the start, but it kinda spams up the thread without contributing anything.

Some cool defensive threat I found is Regenerator Zapdos, I'd run Delta Stream, but Rayquaza doesn't get recovery and that might be better.. Delta Stream is decent on something like Staraptor or Braviary as they'll get good STAB and Extreme Speed.

Anyway Zapdos can get Regenerator from Ho-Oh. Ho-Oh has an amazing movepool for Zapdos, including Thunderbolt for STAB, Recover or Roost for recovery, Will-o-Wisp and Toxic as Status and in WoW's case a check against physical attackers. Finally you can choose what last move you want. You can run Flamethrower or Defog, which both have its uses. Regenerator is great as you're not affected by hazards as much, even if they still hurt you. It also soft checks a lot of things due to it's bulk and not too common weaknesses. Most things won't like getting Burned! It does especially well against Protean users without Ice Beam, and is one of the few reliable checks.

Thundurus (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Thunder
- Hurricane
- Heat Wave / whatever your little heart desires

Inherited from Mega Pidgeot.

Thundurus + Pidgeot is fun for perfectly accurate STAB Thunder and Hurricane alongside a cool way to boost in Nasty Plot. The last slot is really for whatever you want lol
