inquiry about encore

ultimifier

today i was playing an uber match and i used encore as a palkia used spacial rend, doing 40%. Then next turn, the spacial rend did only 30%, which is realized is IMPOSSIBLE. I thought it might have just been a glitch in the damage formula, or some other weird effect.

Then, around a half hour later the following happened, which was just extremely fucked up, and almost cost me my match as well.


Palkia is exerting its pressure!
atraes switched in Wobbuffet (lvl 100 Wobbuffet ?).
Palkia used Thunder.
Wobbuffet lost 32% of its health.
The rain continues to fall.
Wobbuffet's leftovers restored its health a little!
Wobbuffet restored 6% of its health.

Palkia used Aqua Tail.
Wobbuffet lost 51% of its health.
Wobbuffet used Encore.
Palkia got an encore!

So pretty much using encore with wobb negates the effects of the opponents item and weather...
 
Encore is glitched, and is not likely to be fixed on ShoddyBattle 1 ever. It's also not likely to be banned because people think that it's too big a part of the competitive game to ban. Play around it.
 
but what about it is glitched? i figured out its fucked up, but i want to know exactly how so i can avoid being screwed over by it
 
that`s happened to me to.

First turn spacial rend does 48%
Next turn 33%
and then wobbuffet screws me
