Hello Smogon!! Here I bring to you my first RMT!! I am a UU player and this team has helped me get many wins on PO and Wifi. I am not that great at making long intros so lets check out my team!!
@ Choice Band
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- U-turn
- Earthquake
- Outrage
- Stone Edge
Flygon. The strongest dragon is UU as of now(sorry Kingdra). Despite many players running Scarf Flygon, Banded Flygon wrecks things that Scarf Flygon can't.I use this guy as my lead 50% of the time since thanks to team preview, I cant start out with a proper lead since the opponent will predict it and change his lead.
His EVs are simple as I try to maximize speed since the Choice Band increases attack already and the moveset has good coverage with Outrage and Earthquake.
@ Leftovers
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Scald
- Toxic
- Psyshock
- Slack Off
Slowbro. The best physical wall in UU thanks to an amazing ability and a reliable recovery in Slack Off. Slowbro also makes an excellent defensive duo with another Pokemon on the team.
His EVs and movesets are basically what every Slowbro has. Max HP, Max Def, Slack Off, a status move and STAB. There is not much to explain about Slowbro since it is so common and famous for being the Skarmory of UU.
@ Choice Scarf
Trait: Sheer Force
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Flamethrower
- Earth Power
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
Nidoking. With its new ability, Sheer Force, it has become a top threat in UU as it learns a wide variety of moves to abuse the Sheer Force. Instead of running Life Orb to abuse Sheer Force, I run Choice Scarf to outspeed more Pokemon as I find Nidoking not outspeeding all the main threats in UU like fellow Nidoking which are running Life Orb.
His moveset is the same as all Nidoking with 4 different attacking moves which are able to get the Sheer Force boost. His EVs are meant to maximize SpAtk since Choice Scarf helps with Nidoking average speed.
@ Leftovers
Trait: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Thunder Wave
- Stealth Rock
- Seismic Toss
- Iron Head
Registeel. With Slowbro on the team, they make the famous RegiBro defensive duo which is near impossible to break. Registeel also carries a high Def stat despite being a SpDef wall so its able to take hits from physical or special attackers.
All Registeel are the same. Set up a T-Wave, lay down some Stealth Rocks and let the other moves finish the opponent off. Registeel is also capable of paraflinch with T-Wave and Iron Head but not to the success of Jirachi since it lacks Serene Grace.
@ Life Orb
Trait: Victory Star
EVs: 192 Atk / 64 SAtk / 252 Spd
Mild Nature (+SAtk, -Def)
- V-create
- Thunder
- Psychic
- Focus Blast
Victini. The cute furry fuzzball is the bane of many players ever since it got Fusion Bolt and V-Create. Its ability can help out the team since there are some moves that require an accuracy boost.
Its set is far from the physical Victini you see every match. This is a Life Orb Victini which runs 3 special moves with the almighty V-Create. Those moves are less likely to miss with Victory Star and for some reason, no one expects any Victini to carry any special moves.
@ Leftovers
Trait: Shell Armor
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Megahorn
- Knock Off
- Swords Dance
- Return
Escavalier. Its basically Scizor but with more defenses. BTW isn't Chibi Escavalier just so uberly cute=). Using Escavalier is like using Scizor....without Bullet Punch. Just switch it in on a resisted move and proceed to sweep.
His moveset has the same format as Scizor. Dual STAB with SD and a filler. I use Knock Off for 1 reason. Chansey. Knock Off takes out Eviolite so that Chansey becomes a weaker Blissey and I can set up and sweep.
Thank you for taking time to read the RMT and please take more time to leave a rate as I am always trying to improve my teams.
