IMPORTANT!
Just so you know, when I said "I made it myself" I meant on shoddy. I haven't actually used it for wifi battling yet.
Introduction.
This is my first RMT. I made it myself. It works great, my best team so far. My team is weak to the ever common Surf/Ice Beam combo, and I need some way to fix that without sacrificing too much.
My team:
The Team in Detail.
Alakazam (M)
Nature: Timid
Item: Choice Scarf
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 4 HP, 252 Spd, 252 Sp.Atk
Moves:
- Signal Beam
- Psychic
- Trick
- Thunder Wave
Notes:
This guy is my lead. I scarf him to make sure he's faster than other speedy leads, gave him a Timid nature to ensure he's faster than a Timid Scarfed Gengar. Signal Beam and Psychic. Beam for the other Psychics, namely Azelf, and for the Dark types, occasionally Umbreon. Psychic for stab, and trick to screw up leads like Bronzong. Also, tricking scarf onto something with EQ is great, I can switch into my Salamence and get in a free DD. Thunder Wave just to make sure my teammates can outspeed speedy opponents and for general support.
Breloom (F)
Nature: Adamant
Item: Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP, 252 Atk, 4 Spd
Moves:
- Spore
- Substitute
- Seed Bomb
- Focus Punch
Notes:
My very own Captain Falcon. Orb and Poison heal is obvious, The HP EVs make him kinda bulky and gives his subs some life. Maxed attack and 4 Evs into speed just for the heck of it. I usually switch into a slow wall, Blissey is the perfect choice, as they don't normally stay in against Loom and Loom can absorb T-Wave. It doesn't matter if they stay in, I spore right away. If Bliss stays, I sub. Then I give her the old Falcon PAWNCH. If she switches, I get a sub, and then if they are slower than Loom, Punch or Bomb. If the switch in is faster, I spore, sub dies, I sub again. I repeat until they decide to stay in. I've been heavily reliant on Breloom and he's been doing great. I'm scared of Skymin and Crobat, though.
Suicune (Genderless. Omg, I wonder what that's like?)
Nature: Modest
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP, 160 Def, 96 Sp.Atk
Moves:
- Substitute
- Calm Mind
- Surf
- Ice Beam
Notes:
Technically my wall, but he/she/it can sweep too. Modest to boost that mediocre Sp.Atk, leftovers for healing and to allow it to sub more. The EVs are for 101 subs, and the Def to allow it to actually survive some physical hits while it CMs. I have some problems against bulky waters in general.
Heatran (F)
Nature: Naive
Item: Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP, 252 Spd, 252 Sp.Atk
Moves:
- Explosion
- Flamethrower/Fire Blast/Lava Plume
- HP Electric
- Earth Power
Notes:
Everyone's just gotta use Heatran, it's the latest trend. Naive so I can go 50/50 against other Scarftrans who run +Spd. Standard EVs. Moves are also standard, HP Electric for Gyarados, who resists my other attacks, except for Explosion. I normally hate blowing up Scarftran because there are many who are weak to it. I usually just blow up when I predict a Bliss is coming back in.
Dugtrio (F)
Nature: Adamant
Item: Choice Scarf
Ability: Arena Trap
EVs: 98 HP, 160 Spd, 252 Atk
Moves:
- Earthquake
- Night Slash
- Rock Slide
- Aerial Ace
Notes:
My Revenge Killer and my personal Heatran-Eliminator. EQ for stab and to send Heatran to its grave (why do I hate it so much? I use it myself, lol). RS or SE is the same, I'm going RS for now because of the extra accuracy and the fact that Dugtrio is mostly a Revenge Killer, not a sweeper, and a miss may be costly, or possibly fatal for someone as frail as him. Aerial Ace for Heracross (I doubt that with Dugtrio's mediocre attack, he can land an OHKO on the standard Hera).
Salamence (F)
Nature: Adamant
Item: Lum Berry/Yache Berry/Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP, 252 Spd, 252 Atk
Moves:
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Fire Fang/Flamethrower
Notes:
My 24/7 sweeper, early, mid, or late. Great for switching onto a choiced EQ thanks to my lead. Adamant to max attack, EVs are standard, but I just can't decide on the item. Lum Berry is extremely useful, as it cures Outrage confusion and any status inflicters who will try to cripple it. Yache is there to try and let it live, but it seems useless thanks to the Stealth Rocks which are now flying all over the place. Or Life Orb for that extra bite. Lum Berry seems to me as the best option right now. DD to boost that monstrous attack and speed. Outrage for stab and a monstrous move for that monstrous power. EQ for coverage. I can't decide on Fire Fang or Flamethrower. Most of the switch-in's for Mence tend to be steel types, after it get's locked into Outrage. Flamethrower burns Foretress to a crisp, I think it's only a 2HKO on Skarm, and a 3-4HKO on Bronzong. However, after a DD I'm not sure if Fire Fang will do more damage. If it's possible, can someone calculate the damage for me? Thanks.
My Team Flaws.
- I don't have a reliable wall so if I somehow get setup on, it's GG.
- No reliable wall to stealth rock on.
- 4/6 of my team fails to Surf/Ice Beam.
- I don't know if I should switch Trio for Deoxys-e so that he can set up Screens. Atleast that way I'll have some kind of defence. But if I lose Trio, I won't have a counter for scarftran, and I'm not too sure if Deoxys-e can land an OHKO on Scarftran.
Any help, comments, or suggestions will be extremely appreciated.
Thanks.
