<>Insert Pun About Stall Here<>

Hello there. I'm glad you stumbled upon my rmt :) This is my first rmt, as well as my third post (I believe).*Because I'm such a noob, if I happened to miss a rule or something (I just skimmed through them, but I believe I have them memorized) just tell me in the post and I'll fix as soon as possible. Well, as I assume you are getting bored of me talking, I will begin talking about my team.

I have always loved stalling. It has been my favorite playstyle ever since Gen3. I beleive it just got better in Gen IV, with the introduction of Stealth Rock, as well as a plethora of new walls available to abuse. Today, in Gen V, stall is much less common due to the potential threat of an opposing Reuniclus. I wanted to try stalling to see if I could defeat the ever so common Reuniclus. Shall we go on with the rmt?

Hippowdon @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 Defence, 252 HP, 4 SpDef
Nature: Impish (+Defence, -SpAtk)
Move 1: Earthquake
Move 2: Roar
Move 3: Stealth Rock
Move 4: Slack Off

Hippowdon sets up the Sandstorm, adding more residual damage to all Pokes without lefties, and cancels the lefties of the Pokes who do. Well, whether they do have lefties or not, it still adds to the residual damage, which is much*
needed on a stall team. He also gets up the rocks, which are also incredibly valuable on a stall team. He PsuedoHaze if Skarm dies to early, and it is always nice to have an extra PsuedoHazer. *Earthquake makes him not Taunt bait, and provides some damage if needed.
He is very useful for the team, and I probably won't switch him out for anything, but I am really confused about the EVs and moveset.

Blissey @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 Defence, 252 HP
Nature: Bold (+Defence, -Attack)
Move 1: Wish
Move 2: Protect*
Move 3: Seismic Toss
Move 4: Ice Beam

She is completely walled my Gengar, but all Gengar variants aside from the SubSplit variant have trouble hurting this thing. The moves are pretty up in the air, and I have tested all three, and I don't see much difference. I usually use Aromatherapy/Softboiled because I already have a reliable Wish passer in Vaporeon. Seismic Toss, TSpikes and Sandstorm really add up. Add in Life Orb, and they crumble under Blissey. Ice Beam is for dealing with those stupid Gliscors, which otherwise eat this team. I'm pretty happy with my Blissey, and probably won't change much about her.

Skarmory @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 Defence, 252 HP, 4 SpDef
Nature: Impish ( +Defence, -SpAtk)
Move 1: Roost
Move 2: Whirlwind
Move 3: Spikes
Move 4: Brave Bird

Our favourite flying type from the previous generations has managed to make my stall team yet another time. But why wouldn't he? He has absolutely everything it needs to survive in today's metagame. Godly defense stat, reliable recovery, a phasing move, and spikes. I was debating on whether Brave Bird is better than Drill Peck on Skarm, and I personally believe it is Drill Peck. Unless there is some incredible reason of using Brave Bird instead of Drill Peck, I probably won't. My counter to many physical threats, such as Conkeldurr and Haxorus, and sets up Spikes, and can Phaze the opponent, adding ever more residual damage.

Jellicent @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP, 252 SpDef, 4 Defence
Nature: Calm (+SpDef, -Attack)
Move 1: Recover
Move 2: Taunt
Move 3: Scald
Move 4: Toxic

Jellicent, the bearded blob. He can take special hits rather nicely, and cripple physical sweepers with Scald. Toxic is obvious for Toxic Stalling. With Toxic+Scald+Sandstorm+ Hazards, not much will be surviving for long. He also Spin blocks, and has reliable recovery so that Blissey doesn't have to always pass it wishes.

Forretress @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 Defence, 252 HP, 4 SpDef
Nature: Impish
Move 1: Toxic Spikes
Move 2: Rapid Spin
Move 3: Revenge
Move 4: Payback

Forretress finishes off setting up hazards. He provides the ever so important TSpikes. He can also Rapid Spin away the hazards on my side cutting down on the residual damage I take (I usually switch, a lot). Revenge/Payback is amazing coverage. I'm not sure of much that resists it. Although this thing doesn't hit all that hard, a hit is a hit. He also has only one weakness (fire), which is covered easily by Jellicent. He needs Wish support (which can be provided by one of my Pokemon), and he has incredible defense, so with Wish support, he becomes a monster. Overall there is not much to say about him, aside from amazing :)

Celebi @ Leftovers
EVs: 252 HP, 216 Defence, 40 SpDef
-Perish Song
-Heal Bell
-Psychic
-Recover

I have only used this guy in one match, but he was soo helpful. I am pretty glad I took Vaporeon out to make room for this. He stops Reuniclus' cold with Perish song, meaning I can switch to something as either death fodder, or switch in on a resisted attack. He also replaced Vaporeon as a Cleric, and brings a Fighting and Ground resist (to name a few).

P.S. Sorry for the short comments on Celebi and Jellicent, but I am just getting used to them. I will definetly fix them soon, once I have more to say. And if I mention anything that doesn't make sense (I.e mentioning Vaporeon), please forgive me as I have made quite a lot of changes, and didn't have the time to read through the entire post.

Comment, rate and give me some tips on how to improve. If I am missing anything please tell me ASAP so I can fix it ASAP. Thank you for taking the time to read through my boring team :)

A secondary cleric Poke? Sounds kind of greedy. I'd rather combine Vaporeon and Dusknoir and just use Jellicent. Still absorbing Water moves, and blocking Rapid Spin. With that, you now free up a complete space for whatever you want to use.

Might I recommend Blissey use Ice Beam, Softboiled, Aromatheraphy and Toxic? You have an extremely huge Gengar annoyance and that seems to be the best way to take care of it

For that free Poke spot, you can try plenty of experimental things. Leech Seeding Celebi can certainly help. Or you can just attempt to Dragonite Subshuffle things. It works well even without having to paralyze things. Or you can try Heatran, to help against Volcarona in case it's running Substitute to block Blissey off.

If I do run Softboiled on Blissey, and switch Vaporeon and Dusknoir for Jellicent, I won't have a wish passer which is always helpful to add. Well, now that I think of it, a SubSeeder would really help in the last slot, to, as it would make Pokemon like Gliscor easier to stall (although Toxic Orb cancels out Leech Seed). I will try Ice Beam, on Blissey, but I don't know how wise it would be to bring Blissey in on Gliscor, because STAB Acrobatics would really hurt Blissey. How do you suggest I deal with Reuniclus? If Jellicent can learn Ice Beam, I will run Maxed Defence Bold Jellicent? Or what would you suggest?

Haha, I love your Forretress set. It never occured to me that Forretress learned Revenge, or that it actually had the attack to use it effectively. If I were you, I'd put Forretress as your dedicated lead and, if you have the balls, run this set.

Forretress @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 220 Atk / 36 Spe
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SpA)
- Toxic Spikes
- Rapid Spin
- Revenge
- Pain Split

This thing is the perfect lure for Mix-Tar, who thinks it can own this thing with a Fire Blast. Revenge is guaranteed to OHKO 252HP Tyranitar so long as he attacks you on that turn, either leaving him down a pokemon or with Stealth Rock and a shaken Tyranitar at 50%. Not sure if it's worth using over the standard, but if you manage to get a kill this way it'd be fantastic :D

I honestly find two clerics redundant. Just run one of the two since both have the same roles and put a better Pokemon. If you run Vaporeon, replace Ice Beam with Protect since it helps with Wishing.

Also, Dusknoir's set is not only gimmicky, but very hard to abuse. Using a Focus Sash on a Pokemon with Base 135 defenses is useless unless your opponent sets up and attacks since Dusknoir's base defenses are too high to abuse the Focus Sash.

For the possible free slot on the team, try dori's suggestion of Celebi, D-Nite or Heatran since hey all contribute to the team in their own way.

Use a Sub Disable Gengar over dusknoir. It is basically Tormentran but WAAAAAY better.
Disable got boosted to 100% accuracy this gen.
It also gives your team some much need offense as Shadow Ball and Focus Blast have amazing type coverage. Use it, i promise it'll work for you. The strategy is simple, sub up and disable what you're hit with, rendering the other guys poke useless as they will often only have one hit that will break your sub. proceed to finish the job with shadow ball or focus blast.

^That sounds pretty sick. I will definetly try that, or something very similar (HP Fighting over Focus Blast).
So Gengar over Dusknoir.
Would it be alright if I run Porygon2 over Blissey, because I want a Pokemon with very few weaknesses. I do know that Sandstorm would soften it up, but Leftovers would make up for it.
I want to keep Vaporeon as he is the only Water resist I have.
I will edit the post later, but I'm on my iPod now and can't really fix it ATM.

Hey there.

I would also recommend dori's suggestion and replace Dusknoir + Vaporeon for Jellicent. If you do that you can keep Wish on Blissey / Protect on Blissey. For the last slot, I would add a Sub/Protect Gliscor in order to make the best use out of Toxic Spikes.

Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP, 184 Def, 72 Spe
Nature: Impish (+Def, -SAtk)
-Protect
-Substitute
-Ice Fang
-Earthquake

Substitute + Protect is a very good toxic stalling combination, especially with Poison Heal. It also lets you beat Ferrothorn 1 on 1, as 1 Power Whip / Gyro Ball will not break the sub; sub also blocks leech seed. Ice Fang allows you to hit other Gliscors, while also break the air balloons of pokemon like Excadrill.

On Hippowdown, I would definitely recommend Earthquake over Stockpile, as it doesn't make you taunt bait, and allows you to hit Heatran and Tyranitar, among others.

I would definitely run Brave Bird over Drill Peck on Skarmory, as there really isnt any reason not to, as it is a stronger attack, and with Roost and Leftovers, the recoil damage isn't that important.

I don't really see what makes Jellicent so bulky. It gets reliable recovery, but I don't see why it is so common. I will test it out as it resists Gliscor weakness. I have a lot of testing to do today. >.>

I figured if you ran Jellicent, your line up would be something along the lines of what....

Hippowdon has Slack Off
Jellicent has Recover
Skarmory has Roost
Blissey has Softboiled

Do you really need to put Wish for anything other than Forretress? Remember that Forretress dose have Pain Split, and if you find one of Payback or Revenge not used much, it can go over either or handily.

And if you ran Celebi, remember that it learns Heal Bell as well, which potentially frees up another slot on Blissey.

This is a very nice stall team; I enjoy using stall as well. However this team has a few weaknesses which I think can be helped with a few changes. These weaknesses are notably: Salanence, Terrakion, Conkeldurr (Skarmory does not beat it) Volcarona and CM Reuniclus.

Firstly, I agree with using Jellicent on your team; it helps tremendously against opposing stall which you have a pretty bad matchup against. Try running Taunt / Toxic / Scald / Recover to help in your stall breaking efforts, as well as in beating Volcarona. This also is helpful in beating CM Reuniclus; you could run Shadow Ball over Scald if you find it more helpful while testing. The EV Spread could be 252 HP / 176 SDef / 80 Spd; the 80 Spd is for Speed Creeping, while the other moves help you tank the mainly special moves that you should be absorbing.

I also suggest running a Celebi to counter CM Rank, Terrakion, and Conkeldurr; a good moveset could be

[PIMG]251[/PIMG]
Celebi @ Leftovers
Bold
252 HP / 216 Def / 40 Spd
-Perish Song
-Psychic
-Recover
-Heal Bell / Leech Seed / Hidden Power [Fire]

Psychic is for Conkeldurr and Terrakion, who annoy your team pretty badly since they can actually beat Skarmory one on one. Hidden Power helps against Scizor and Ferrothorn, although the benefits of the other two moves are obvious.

If you do run this, be sure to run Seismic Toss on Blissey, as otherwise stuff like SDef Heatran hurts your team very badly. Running Seismic Toss / Wish / Protect / Ice Beam would work. Ice Beam is also useful to catch in stuff like SD + Taunt Gliscor, which annoys this team, as well as things like Salamence, whose MixMence variant blows massive holes in this team (as it does to any stall team in general).

Also, run EQ over Stockpile on Hippowdon; it is absolutely necessary since even at +3/+3, your Hippowdon will not be able to do anything with no attacking moves besides pHaze.

All in all, good job for a first team :) There's not really much more that I can change without changing the "spirit" of the team.
