*Insert Team Name Here*

Hello, Smogon. I am a new battler in the XY Ubers metagame, and I have created a team that I think will work. However, like all amateur ideas, it is not perfect, and I would like your guys' feedback on this. So, without further ado, my team (sorry I don't have any pictures for the mons):

Kyogre @ Choice Specs
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Water Spout
- Surf
- Thunder
- Ice Beam

Kyogre has been my favorite Pokemon ever since it came out, and I had to use it on my team. I decided to go for a Choice Specs variant because I don't really see many of those around. As for the moveset, I decided to go for a standard Specs set with Water Spout/Surf/Ice Beam/Thunder, but I chose Surf because it has a higher accuracy than Hydro Pump, and I'm no good at accuracy checks.

Deoxys-Speed @ Focus Sash
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Timid Nature
- Taunt
- Knock Off
- Stealth Rock
- Spikes

I still have no idea why Deo-S isn't banned yet. Anyway, I run taunt so that the opponent can't set up on me (although with opposing Speed Deoxys it's a matter of who the RNG favors). I run the dual hazards set with both Spikes and Stealth Rock, for both consistent and universal damage. For the final move, I run Knock Off to cripple item-dependent Pokemon. I especially love what Knock Off/Taunt does to Xerneas.

Ho-Oh @ Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 SDef / 248 HP / 8 Atk
Careful Nature
- Brave Bird
- Sacred Fire
- Roost
- Whirlwind

This Generation saw the rise of Ho-Oh not only in usage, but also in my love for it. With a new Fairy resistance, it is now my #1 choice when trying to handle Xerneas. Sacred Fire has a nice 50% Burn chance, which I can use to cripple Physical Sweepers. Brave Bird is for Pokemon that resist SF. For the recovery move, it was a tough decision between Roost, which reduces the Rock weakness, and Recover, which keeps the Ground immunity. I ended up picking Roost out of personal taste. Whirlwind is useful for Pseudo-hazing set-up sweepers like EKiller and Rayquaza and, did I mention XERNEAS?! The HP EV's seem a bit odd, but that's so that the HP number is odd, so that it can switch into Stealth Rock more than once.

Arceus @ Silk Scarf
Ability: Multitype
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Extreme Speed
- Swords Dance
- Shadow Claw
- Earthquake

I chose to run Extreme Killer Arceus because everyone else was too. There. I run a Silk Scarf so that I can give myself a Pseudo-Plate boost on Extreme Speed. I run Shadow Claw for handling Ghost Types, and Earthquake for handling the minerals and metals that resist my Extreme Speed, but that is probably a given. In the EV department, I focused on giving it maximum bulk and Power, forgoing Speed in the process. This seems reasonable, but I'm not sure if that is the best idea, so if anyone has anything to object, feel free to do so.

Gengar @ Gengarite
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Destiny Bond
- Focus Blast
- Sludge Bomb

Mega Gengar is my eliminator, if that's even a role (it is a Gengar exclusive role). I run Destiny Bond+3 Attacks because I need an answer for Pokemon when I'm Taunted. Destiny Bond, Shadow Tag, and Gengar's frailty all help in securing a KO. In terms of attacks, Focus Blast and Shadow Ball provide unresisted coverage, while Sludge Bomb is used for handling Fairies, and even though it has 5 less BP than Sludge Wave, it has 20% higher chance to poison.

Zekrom @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Hasty Nature
- Bolt Strike
- Dragon Claw
- Outrage
- Volt Switch

In my opinion, Zekrom is an underrated threat this generation. When equipped with a Choice Scarf, it becomes a dangerous revenge killer and sweeper simultaneously. I run both Dragon Claw and Outrage because Dragon Claw is a safer option for early game, while Outrage is great for late game. I also run Volt Switch for momentum and Shadow Tag. And, of course, Bolt Strike is Bolt Strike.

So that's my team. Feel free to comment, discuss, or just say whatever you want. I look forward to your feedback.

1, Have you tried out your team in Pokemon Showdown? Try it out before asking for rates so you can punch out the real bugs.

2.
Zekrom @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Hasty Nature
- Bolt Strike
- Dragon Claw/Outrage
- Focus Blast/Draco Meteor
- Volt Switch
Dragon Claw Or Outrage, not both. Locking into a dragon type move this gen isn't the most reliable...

..... This is terrible advice. Focus blast is just awful. If anything he should just run standard krom with volt switch/outrage/sleep talk/bolt strike or fusion bolt. Dclaw is too piss weak and xern will allow you to switch out if it wins the 50-50

For Zekrom, I'd personally ditch the scarf and run a mixed set. But, if you were to run a scarf set, do notice that you have 4 physical attackers, and 2 special attackers. Outrage is definitely a really bad choice in Ubers, due to the prevalence of Xerneas.

No. To the whole post except the four physical attackers part. The scarf is a good set and better than the mixed. Outrage is used AFTER Xerneas is gone. I have the feeling that a lot of people need to learn that. Haruno's standard set idea was good.

Another thing is your Arceus. IMO I wouldn't run no speed unless you run a lum berry due to the prevalence of max speed support arceus'. You should either keep the set and switch to lum berry or run max speed and life orb/silk scarf. You do have four physical pokemon already though so maybe you can change to a different type calm mind arceus.

Thank you for the tips! I could try running a Calm Mind Ghost Arceus set. However, with my team having two Dark weaknesses, it makes me afraid of Yveltal and Darkrai. However, Arceus-Ghost could help against the Mega Mewtwo duo.

The only problem I have with Zekrom is when I face Xerneus. However, Zekrom checks Kyogre, Palkia, Ho-oh, etc. However, I can test the standard Zekrom set and see how it does.

I are going with an offensive team 4 physical 2 special. Given the current status of your team I would say it is fine to leave scarf on zekrom.

What is the goal of your team. Sure it is to, but generally people describe their battle strategy what pokemon are suppose to lure others.

Also putting a pokemon on your team just because a lot of people are using it is a horrible excuse. It is o.k to test things, but you don't really need an RMT for experimentation do you. While in the process of experimenting try out xerneas. For that Arceus I like putting atleast 4 EVs into speed. It at least allows you to sometimes win the arceus speed tie which can be very important in many games.

What is the goal of your team?
My team's goal is to set up hazards as quickly as possible, then begin to set up my other Pokemon in order to sweep the opponent. I send out my defensive Pokemon only when necessary. I also would very much like to put Xerneas, but I can't because I don't have a perfect nature on my Xerneas (or a Xerneas in general).
