Instacheck Hotspot -- a fast Pokémon checker for XY

Got it to connect to my PC's hotspot and the internet works with it but there's nothing in the dropdown box above the 'start scanning' button (it's just a blank box) within instacheck and it doesn't display any stats of any pokemon or my SV even if I click on the start scanning button...

do you have to be in a trade to check? I got it working but seems kind of annoying that you have to find someone else to check with every time.

It is working for me, but I'm having a couple problems that may or may not be related.

1. When I start up a trade, I get the message "Offset and length were out of bounds for the array or count is greater than the number of elements from index to the end of the source collection."

2. Pokemon only show up as the "Other's" Pokemon. Nothing shows up on the left side for me. If I put a pokemon up for trade it will show on the right side, and if the person I'm trading with puts something up for trade it will still show on the right side.

I'm using the Japanese game and 3DS.( It displays the Japanese trainer name fine.) I'm connecting through my Laptop and tested this trading with a friend. Anyone have any idea what is causing this?

Don't have this problem, but when you find a solution to a problem, at least give a solution. We don't gain anything with this.
My solution was the change my router's address.

Now I'm stuck trying to connect to the access point. Keep getting 003-1101 errors. The password I'm using is the one that I set the hotspot for, so I have no idea what's wrong now. It has just been one error after another with this thing...

I am also having issues. It says that the connection that the program created wasnt connected.

And it doesnt allow me to connect on my 3ds.

This is what i did, please tell me if im missing something.

I downloaded the program and extracted it with WinRAR
I opened instacheck and selected "Wireless Network Connection"
I started the hotspot.
I went onto my 3ds's settings and connected to the network.
I went back to instacheck and the boxes were blank.
I went to control panel and went to network connections.

And here is the screenshot of what it showed.

>.< am i missing something?

Oo and like everyone else the box ontop of start scan is blank.

EDIT** I had the connection working for a sec then i had to close instacheck for a sec and now its not working the little x is gone but i cannot connect with my 3ds.

Good evening all
So I was able to get this up and working...
Took me awhile to realize that it only works while in trade...makes me a tad sad but I'll work with it haha

It appears my shiny value is 2709

I did have a question..

Is there a database of sorts with everyone's shiny value, info, etc that I could add my info to?

I've tried everything and I still cannot connect to the internet through my 3DS. I can connect with my phone, though. I've been trying for a few hours and would love some help as I'm sure there are many others with the same issue as well. Thanks.

I figured it out! I simply disabled windows firewall and was able to connect through my 3DS!

Hope this helps others as well!

Before I'm going to put my information up anywhere:
It all worked. Even though my computer skills are pretty darn bad, I could check all the data. Yet, my connection with my laptop lasts a whole minute at best. Not long enough to check all my eggs. Stopping and starting the hotspots had a possitive effect, but it's still pretty annoying.

Any ways to make my laptop (windows 8 for some reason) and 3ds stay connected longer?

I'm not sure if anybody else is having this problem, but I can connect to everything just fine when I use the program. However, every time I try to initiate a trade with somebody, it keeps telling me an error has occurred. I've never had the problem while on my Wi-Fi connection, and I've set up everything right as far as I know, but whenever I'm using the hotspot, I can't trade with anybody because it always kicks me out and says an error has occurred, with no error message or anything. I tried searching the thread, but it seems nobody else has had this issue. Can anybody help me out with this?

It is a little frustrating that I can only seem to check when in a trade with someone, but that's hardly anything to complain about when this software is so useful. o-o

The only issues I ever have is when I'm trading with someone far away (like...in a different country). But I'm not sure if that's just their own internet connection or not, because it works with everyone else but that one person. xD

Ah, everything is working fine but all the fields are blank in trades. Must be something odd happening, I have no other internet connections set up.

I have an issue with Instacheck at the moment. When I try to open it and start a hotspot it says:
"The service cannot accept control messages at this time. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070425)"

What do I do? Please help.

Okay, I hate to post here and be annoying but I just don't know what anything means. I managed to get the program working and connect. Everything seemed like it was going well until I began the trade, and then every time me or my trade partner offered a pokemon I get this error:

"Invoke or begininvoke cannot be called on a control until the window has been created."

After a while, I also got the error message

"Offset and length were out of bounds for the array or count is greater than the number of elements from index to the end of the source collection."

My firewalls were disabled and I have no idea how to proceed with fixing this one.

Okay so I have everything running and what not, now what do I do?
Just trade someone and show eggs? Please help!
New to all this forum stuff!!
