Since I can't get this program to work, could someone check my TSV for me? I'm not too concerned with checking any of my eggs just yet.

I keep getting this error. I already did the CMD WLAN thing, and it said "The network mode has been set to allow". Yet I'm still getting this error. I've never been able to start a network or open instacheck, I'm on a Windows 7 64-bit PC.

Not sure if this problem has already been addressed, this thread is entirely too long to search thoroughly...

When you type in "netsh wlan show drivers", does it say yes next to "hosted network supported"? (no quotes)
 
ah. That's your problem. I take it then you are doing it on a desktop. You have to either have a wireless card (which you apparently do not), or a wifi dongle to get instacheck to work in that case.

There is also another version from reddit (instacheck extended) and Connectify, but those might require you to have a wireless card as well. Not sure on that though since I don't know anything about those programs.
 
Can anyone check my eggs for me? I could give you one of the spitback rotoms(NOT the HP ice ones) or inkay(4IV are spitbacks) that you'll be checking.
 
Oh, fuck. I didn't even think of that. No, my desktop doesn't have a wireless card, it can't connect to WiFi networks, but it's connected to my router via ethernet. Hmm. I'll try the reddit version, and if that doesn't work I will be doomed to forever have to ask people to check my eggs for me.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure others have been in that same situation as you. The physical computer has to have wireless access unfortunately. I'm running a desktop (Win 7 32-bit) with a wifi dongle (no wireless card either), so I can confirm that works as another alternative. Don't think your 64-bit would make your situation too different from mine. Hope you get it working! :)

Do you have any idea if the standalone works without a wireless card? I don't even know the difference between InstaCheck Standalone and InstaCheck+Hotspot, except of course that one sets up its own network.

I'm not sure sorry. Not sure what the difference is either tbh XD. I've read that people are having trouble getting it to show their own Pokemon though (it's only showing the other player's).

Edit: sorry that was a bit vague. People are having that problem with the standalone version.

I had the same problem as the person above, but I'm on a labtop, next to "Hosted network support" it says, no. Anyway to change this? Also I'm running DD-WRT firmware on my router, does that have any effect?

The fact that is says no is a function of your wireless card I think. You can try upgrading it so that it supports hosted networks, or pick up a wifi dongle as well. I don't think that firmware would have an effect since your laptop is the determining factor. In your case, I don't even think you would need a router to get it to work, assuming you can hook up your laptop with ethernet.

Edit: sorry, when I say upgrade your wireless card, I'm talking specifically about updating the driver for it. Wrong word choice.
