So i'm confused here, I've observed a bit and noticed people posting they are free to check eggs for someone. Are they supposed to post in the Simple Request thread anyways? Or are you referring to the people wanting their eggs checked.
The latter, though I assume both are culprits ever since the cheeky edit o_o

I can't get my 3ds to connect to it at all. I think the problem could be the shared connections? but nothing comes up in my drop-down, it just says wi-fi.
I followed all the steps in the tutorial, but I am using windows 8 which seems to complicate things.
I have my network enabled to sharing, and I did the command prompt as well. what else can I do?
(My 3DS finds the instacheck network hotspot, but it won't pass the connection test)

I probably say this a lot by now, but if all else fails you're welcome to use the Standalone version and use connectify instead of virtual router plus. In any event:

Either attempt to allow the connect through your firewall, make sure your connections securities are set correctly or

1. Open Network Sharing and Center.
2. Click Change adapter settings at the left tab.
You window will be like this :

3. Right click Wireless Network Connection 2.
4. Click disable. Then right click again and click enable.
5. Open Virtual Router Manager and Start Virtual Router.

Sigh... my program's back at it again. It only shows my Pokemon's stats and nothing for the other player's. I kinda figured out a way around it by switching from connection to connection (now I REALLY get what you meant, Esmeya ).

While it works, it's still a hassle. It showed both Pokemon stats for me yesterday, I don't get why it's not working now.

Sorry, but it's still better than nothing at all =(

I tried the network thing just now, it didn't work. So I tried to download the connectify like you said, and it won't even download. it's been sitting there for about 10 minutes in the same spot. I don't know if it just takes a really long time or what, but I don't know why all these issues have to come up D; it seems like everyone else goes through the program with no problem, but I can't even get that part to set up correctly.

You shouldn't have any problems downloading connectify at all, it's either your location or your own connection.

Or your computers allowances settings.

I'm getting this error when I'm setting up the instacheck. I saw someone else had the same error, but their solution (Run CMD as administrator) didn't work for me. Neither did another solution from google (disable IPv6).

This is the error I'm getting:
An event was unable to invoke any of the subscribers (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040201)

Virtual router plus could not be started.

thanks guys.

When you're helping someone check please PM them rather than posting in the thread so that people who actually need troubleshooting help don't get buried :l
