Instinct Smash, this is THE tournament where you can play any tier (with some restrictions) in a double elimination format, this tournament counts towards the PokeInstinct 2026 ranking and its invitational.

- PRIZE POOL: $75 USD via PayPal courtesy of A Daydream

Prize Pool:
1st place: $45 USD.
2nd place: $15 USD.
3rd and 4th place: $7.5 USD.

Specific Rules

The tournament will be Best of Three (Semifinals and Finals will be Best of Five).
The tournament is Double Elimination.
The first tier will be chosen based on !pick (Gen 1-9 OU) this week the tier we pick is SM OU, The loser of the first game gets to pick the format for the second game, the loser of second game (if necessary) gets to pick the format for the third game.
Tiers will be picked in the schedule, not during the matches.
Matches are to be played on Pokemon Showdown/Smogtours.
Replays must be saved and POSTED. Matches without a replay will not count as completed. If you don't want to risk forgetting to save replays play on Smogtours as it's automatic there.
In an event of a timeout, the player who times out will lose that game unless the opponent grants a rematch. This holds true even for a disconnect, due to being unable to know which three Pokemon have been selected at team preview. Consequently, players do not need to send in their teams to a TD.
Activity calls and coinflips will be done by myself and the pick command on Pokemon Showdown respectively.

General Rules
