Inactive Interested in Showdown Android App?

Hey there,

I noticed that there was a post similar to this, but the last commit for the app was over a year ago. I'm planning fork the project and maintain it.
I have already started working on the UI/UX.

But before I fork the project, I would like to know whether yall be interested in it.

EDIT:
Sorry guys, a friend who I was planning to collaborate with decided to that it is best to abandon the project due to copyright issues. I can't say I 100% agree with him, since we can just make the project available on Github/F-droid, but he wants an app that can be uploaded to the playstore. For now we are working on a Pokemon Team Builder app, which I have to say is not as exciting compared to Showdown Android

Thank you for the responses! I've decided to fork the project after I complete the UI. Redesigning the UI was way harder than I have expected and may take quite some time. Here's my current plan for Singles Battle in landscape mode. Feel free to suggest any ideas/improvements!
