Well uh, Hi. I'm Donnie just joined today and I've just got started playing pokemon competitively. I'm more of a guy who breeds perfect pokemon and would be more than happy to help people if they ever needed help making a perfect pokemon! I've always been interested in pokemon since I was 4 with trying red and blue. I fell out of pokemon around black and white's creation but fell back in love with it with the ruby and sapphire remakes. Anyways, after learning about competitive breeding and evs being much more easier to do compared to the old generations, I was elated to make perfect pokemon; a lot of which I've just given away to friends or wondertraded. My main reason for coming to smogon is learning more about how to build teams with good synergy and combinations and most of all, finding perfect iv legendary pokemon that are not competitively banned. heck I'd trade all the perfect Ivs I have for a 5iv heatran since he works so well on team synergy. But that's for me to reach one day. For now, thanks a bunch for reading and don't be shy if you happen to want to make a deal for battle ready pokemon because I love making them!

Hey Donnie, welcome to Smogon. You've got a big fascination for Heatran I see, haha. Smogon is definitely the right place for competitive battling. Maybe we can also battle sometime? Would be awesome :D

Pretty much a total noob to battling so decided it was about time I joined as I generally put together random pokes and get my ass handed to me. Would like to be a whole lot better at constructing teams for Battle Spot and VGC.

I enjoy the challenge of chain breeding and am currently trying to work out which gen/game is the best to learn how to RNG with. Also I play the TCG and have finally reached the Delta Episode in both my ORAS games. Not sure if I should celebrate reaching that point or dread how long it's going to take to SR Rayquaza though.

Hey Tortoise! Welcome to Smogon. I love the TCG, shame I never got into actually playing the game. I also SR'd for Ray and it took me only about an hour to get a Jolly one. Guess I got lucky.

If you want to learn more about battling (competitively) Smogon is definitely the right place to be. If you need some help with your teams, make sure to check out the Rate My Team section. Hello, pleasant to meet all of you. I am Scion of Legend, and my favorite type is Psychic, and my favorite Pokemon is Gallade. I first got into Pokemon with Pokemon Stadium 2 and Fire Red from my older siblings, but my interest skyrocketed at Heart Gold. Since I was a Gen 2 kid living in Gen 4, it was a Arceus send for me. I played it for hours and hours (and even got my starter to Level 100) and eventually got Pokemon Black. That was the game I learned online battles from.

I don't have ORAS, so whatever Pokemon erupted from that game are lost upon me right now, but I hope to learn EV's, IV's, and all that other stuff. On Pokemon Showdown, I'm showing a bit of prowless on LC, but I'm still a newbie. Anyways, I hope to meet many new friends, rivals, and become the best battler I can be! ...That, or just do my own thing. Thanks for readin'!

Hi I am Conor but all my friends call me kellzo I am 17 yearsold and started playing pokemon with gen 4(Pokemon Pearl) but I got cards before I started high school because my uncles' step son went to liverpool so I got to keep the cards they gave. In every pokemon game that I play I always pick the fire starter everytime and I do mean everytime, but this doesnt mean that fire pokemon are my favourite it is just that the fir type is my favourite poekmon has to be in my opinion the king of all electric pokemon pikachu. the poke tuber that I would pick has to be The King Nappy now that man is halarious. Thanks Fluke which fire starter is your favourite mine is charzaird that is because I got A teddy charmander when is was younger and now Ihave my cousin hooked heis nearly two but I showed him pokemon on my ds and he eyes were glued to the screen (ONLY AN EXPRESSION). Also what is your friend code for pokemon pearl. I will write down your friend code for when ever I get a 3ds so I can battle you in pokemon x/y and thanks for the suggestion Iwill watch soul link when ever I get a chance. My favourite starters are Charmander, Totodile, Mudkip, Turtwig, Snivy, and Fennekin. Although I like Charmander and Fennekin, I never pick them in game. I unfortunately don't play Diamond/Pearl anymore. Also, wasn't the Wi-Fi server for almost all DS games shut down?

Also, what do you mean by 'BAR'?

Hello!

I've sort of wandered through these forums the past few weeks. At first I was here because of the Battle Maison guide, since I'm interested in the trophies and the berries. But I also enjoy watching Pokemon battles, specifically VGC, which I do mostly on YouTube. I think that if I did get further into Pokemon enough to want to battle competitively, I would want to focus on VGC.

I like Dragonair, and I'm still waiting for Dragonite to get a Mega. (Will it evolve using Dragonite, though, or what?) I also like Milotic, another Pokemon I think would be great as a Mega.

I've only just started getting into breeding, mostly due to the general improvements in quality of life for breeders this generation. I'm actually trying to get my hands on a HA Drilbur/Excadrill, and I'm too lazy/impatient to try to find one in Mirage Caves. I'm also kind of bad at sneaking, though I enjoy the mechanic. I'm not very familiar with the structure of the forums, plus I'm not sure how trading works here, especially since I'm just looking for something with the HA, and I'm perfectly fine with breeding on the IVs and stuff.

If there's one thing I'm not looking forward to, though, it's how important various legendaries are in the competitive scene. I really despise soft-resetting for a legendary with good IVs.

I do wonder, though, what do people do with all the Pokemon you hatch from breeding, but that aren't perfect? I have piles and piles of Eevees from trying to get a HA female of the right nature (which will make future Eevee breeding much easier), and just paging through my boxes is becoming a slight chore. I still feel bad releasing things, but that seems the best way.
