Hey, this is my first suggestion to smogon. I think an Introductions forum could be very useful, because thats where newbies can introduce themselves to the forum, and people can welcome them. They could also give them tips like "Hey, welcome to smogon, stick by the rules." "Hey, welcome to smogon, if you help with anything pm me."

I think this is a really good idea.
 
It has been suggested many times before, and has been rejected. "It just isn't worth it". If people aren't going to read the rules, why would they need to have people advising them to do so.
 
The idea of an Introductions forum has been brought of several times before, such as here, and has been rejected every single time. The idea has been tried before and was deemed useless with full of PC+ posts. Try to use the search function in the forum before submitting your idea to make sure it hasn't been brought up before!
