For those unfamiliar with Iron Fist, this is a chaotic but competitive metagame where anything you can envision can make it into the metagame, as long as it is approved by the rotating Supreme Leader. This micrometa contains countless Pokemon for you to play around with, ranging from the ever-skeptical Ohmyrod, the man who nose Smelmetal, and the pure of muscle Impidimp-Mega. Over the span of Iron Fist, many submissions have been made that have made this a truly unforgettable metagame. There is plenty of depth to be found in this young metagame, and I'm excited to see how the tier develops.
Competitive Highlights
- Two* new types: Silly- and Lemon-type
- There are also Serious- and Friend-types but those are not nearly as relevant
- Two new terrains: Frigid Terrain and Fishing Terrain
- Two new weathers: Acid Rain and Graveyard
- Fishing Tokens, an in-game resource mechanic
- Plenty of other possible team gimmicks, such as Balatro Blast and the Diamond Hand
- General tournament rules and regulations.
- Best of three, double-elimination, Iron Fist on Pet Mods DH2.
- Weekly schedule, one matchup per week.
- This tournament will use the standard Iron Fist banlist.
- If metagame changes occur during the middle of a round, they will take effect in the subsequent round.
- Replays are mandatory.
- $50 to be distributed to the winner via international giftcard of their choice, as long as it is easy to acquire (Steam, Nintendo, etc).
- JoltSmash has also added a 12-month Nintendo Online subscription to the grand prize!
