Ditto starts off without attacking, just chilling. Well, actually it looks more like focusing. I think it's using Focus Energy. If it is, that could be bad for Corsola, as it would allow Ditto to easily get around all the barriers Corsola threw up earlier. Corsola spews Toxic gas out at Ditto, which leaves Ditto poisoned. That could be useful in taking Ditto down, assuming it doesn't sweep akela first. The poison does look like its causing Ditto some harm. Maybe it'll work?

Ditto doesn't seem to be completely disabled though, and uses Earthquake again. This hit scores a critical hit, completely bypassing Corsola's protection. That must be due to the Focus Energy. Corsola can only respond with another Ancient Power, but it doesn't look like it did as much damage as Ditto. Even with the poison clearly whittling Ditto's HP, Corsola is fighting a losing battle here.

With another Close Combat, Corsola is knocked out. Ditto does appear to be low on energy, but akela only has 5 Pokemon left. Can he take down Matezoide's Ditto and 7 other fresh Pokemon?

akela sends out Eelektross, his other non-Rock-type. Eelektross is hit by Stealth Rock, but is still in much better condition than Ditto.

Ditto lunges in and strikes with X-Scissor, scoring another critical hit due to Focus Energy. Eelektross looks hurt, but counterattacks with Knock Off, and scores a critical hit too. Eelektross manages to swat away Ditto's Metal Powder. Now it'll be much easier to take down!

It looks like akela is trying to trigger Matezoide's sub command, and has Eelektross use Double Team. Ditto is prepared and responds with Vital Throw, which hits and lands another critical hit. That manages to stop Ditto from recovering energy, but would it have been better to attack?

Ditto strikes with another critical hit X-Scissor. At this point Eelektross is very weakened. So is Ditto though, and Eelektross attacks with a powerful Rock Slide to put Ditto at a critically low amount of health, especially with the Poison coursing through it. To be honest, I'm a little confused by akela's attack plan though. Wouldn't it have been better to either attack the whole time or stall Ditto out with Double Team every move? Still, it looks like Ditto is almost fainted. Can akela pull a comeback from here?

akela is down to 4 Pokemon now. But, that's not as hopeless as it seems, as some of these Pokemon are his very best. Tyrantrum isn't a Pokemon that should be underestimated. However, it's not off to a great start as it gets tripped up by the Stealth Rock when it enters.

Tyrantrum lets out a roar and rushes towards Furfrou... but Furfrou disappeared? Ah, it burrowed under the ground! Tyrantrum's Rock Slide attack completely misses the underground Furfrou. Furfrou then pops back up and hits Tyrantrum with Dig. The attack doesn't really do that much damage, but the important thing is that Furfrou also dodged while attacking.

Matezoide seems to be playing defensively, as he orders Furfrou to use Sand Attack to lower Tyrantrum's Accuracy. Tyrantrum's next couple attacks might miss, but it does manage to land a Brick Break. I think Furfrou's Fur Coat helped negate some of the damage, but it still did take a lot.

Tyrantrum starts to conjure another Rock Slide, but Furfrou is underground again and the attack missed! Furfrou attacks with Dig again. Tyrantrum is currently losing this damage race, but maybe things will go differently next round. Or will the Sand Attack screw Tyrantrum over? We'll see...

Furfrou looks like its starting to go on the offensive for real, but Tyrantrum is just staying still. It's probably anticipating the attacks and using Bide. Maybe that's a good strategy, as Furfrou comes in with a kinda strong Grass Knot. Tyrantrum is heavy so the attack did a bit of damage, though it was weakened due to Tyrantrum's Dragon typing. It'll definitely come back to hurt Furfrou soon.

Tyrantrum really is using Bide, as it's not moving and just storing energy. Still, Furfrou attacks with Surf. The attack looks like it wasn't as powerful as Grass Knot, but perhaps that works to Furfrou's advantage.

Done with the Bide, Tyrantrum unleashes energy! Fufrou takes massive damage, but it doesn't look like it's going to faint. That could be really bad for akela, as he's already at a disadvantage and failed to take the advantage here. Furfrou attacks again with Grass Knot, leaving Tyrantrum weakened. I think Furfrou took more damage than Tyrantrum this round, but it still looks healthier.

Furfrou trips up Tyrantrum again with a pesky Grass Knot. It looks like Tyrantrum is really getting worn out. It's not going down just yet though, and uses Stealth Rock to put some pressure on Matezoide. It seems like it might be too little too late at this point though.

Ah, Furfrou disappeared again. It must have burrowed under the ground another time. akela and Tyrantrum are getting used to this though, and akela orders Tyrantrum to use a combination attack to hit Furfrou after it comes back up. Tyrantrum, using the past timing, lets loose an intensely powerful Horn Drill+Aerial Ace... but Furfrou is still underground? The attack missed! Furfrou should have come up, but I guess it was waiting out the attack...?
