XY UU It begins... [ First RMT :) ]

Hello, my name is Farus :). I've recently gotten into competitive and decided it was time to make a team in UU. Before I go head first into a battle and get absolutely wrecked, how can I make this team any better?
Team at a glance:

In depth:

ampharos-mega.gif

Ampharos (F) @ Ampharosite
Ability: Static
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 212 HP / 252 SpA / 44 Spe
Modest Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Dragon Pulse
- Focus Blast
- Volt Switch
Ampharos is by far my favorite Pokemon, and with the Mega Evolution it got this gen, I couldn't find a reason not to put it on my team. With a ton of Sp. Atk, this sheared sheep can hit hard specially, though it's pretty slow. Thunderbolt is powerful STAB that will really hurt anything that doesn't resist it. Dragon Pulse is secondary STAB for those who do resist T-bolt. Focus Blast is coverage for Steel, Rock, and Dark types. Volt Switch is for dealing good damage while getting some potential momentum.

swampert.gif

Swampert (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 240 HP / 16 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Scald
- Roar

Swampert is actually another favorite of mine, so lucky me for picking a tier with a lot of favorites! Swampert's bulk lets him reliably set up Stealth Rocks throughout the match, especially against physical attackers. EQ is for strong STAB and hits pretty hard for a rather defensive Pokemon. Scald is STAB and lets me fish for burns, potentially crippling physical threats. Roar is for taking advantage of my hazards.

chandelure.gif

Chandelure (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 112 HP / 140 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
IVs: NaN Atk
- Substitute
- Calm Mind
- Flamethrower
- Shadow Ball
Chandelure acts a spinblocker for my team, which is very helpful due to the fact that I have 2 Pokes that put up hazards on my team. Substitute is for blocking any potential incoming statuses, and allows me to set up Calm Minds behind it. Flamethrower is good STAB and deals with Grass types that threaten Swampert and Steels that threaten Florges. Shadow Ball is STAB that hits other Ghosts and spinblockers.

florges.gif

Florges @ Leftovers
Ability: Flower Veil
EVs: 252 HP / 232 Def / 24 SpD
Calm Nature
- Moonblast
- Wish
- Protect
- Aromatherapy
Florges serves as a mixed wall and cleric support for the team. Moonblast is STAB and prevents her from being complete and total Taunt bait. Wish is for healing teammates. Protect is for guaranteed Wish recovery, scouting, and an extra turn of Leftovers. Aromatherapy is for removing statuses from the team and herself.

hydreigon.gif

Hydreigon (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 56 Atk / 220 SpA / 232 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Dark Pulse
- Fire Blast
- U-Turn
Hydreigon is the team's wallbreaker. Draco Meteor is STAB with high BP. Dark Pulse hits Steels and Psychics and is another reliable STAB move. Fire Blast is coverage and call deal with any Grass or Steel types that might want to come in, and gives Hydreigon something to hit Ice types with. U-Turn works with Amph's Volt Switch to make a Dual Dragon VoltTurn core.

forretress.gif

Forretress (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Spikes
- Rapid Spin
- Gyro Ball
- Volt Switch
And lastly, Forretress. He's the hazard remover, and also has the ability to set some. Sturdy assures the ability to get down at least 1 layer of spikes or spin hazards away. Spikes is exactly what you think it is, an entry hazard. This, along with Swampert's rocks, can deal a decent chunk of damage on a switch-in. Gyro Ball with 0 Speed IVs allows Forretress to deal decent damage. Volt Switch allows Forretress to safely bring in another Pokemon.

Hey there! Gonna give you a quick rate on your team! Overall you have the fundamentals of a good balance team but there are some moveset changes that would benefit your team greatly.

Jirachi: You already have Florges for Wish support to the team, and a Calm Mind set isn't ideal to be passing Wishes either. So I would suggest Grass Knot or Healing Wish > Wish. Grass Knot allows you to hit physically bulky pokemon immune to Thunderbolt, IE Hippowdon, Swampert, Rhyperior. Since Rachi is your main win condition, a full on sweeping set would be better. Healing Wish is a very underrated move that restores a weakened pokemon to full health at the cost of the users life. This sounds like a negligible return, but if Hydreigon or Ampharos can clean late game than it may be worth it if a Jirachi has already punched holes into an opponents team. Also a more offensive EV spread for Jirachi, it will want to outspeed stuff like Life Orb Darmanitan, Porygon Z, etc.

Hydreigon: Mixed LO is my favorite Hydreigon set so kudos for using it. But running Superpower and Iron Tail leaves Hydreigon very pronto being worn down. Looking at your team Forretress and Jirachi can spike or set up Calm Minds on Florges/Aromatisse so I would suggest Roost > Iron Tail. This allows Hydreigon to have more longevity as it's immunity to Psychic and Ground along with the switches it forces give it ample time to recover when it needs to. Also run max speed imo so Swords Dance Haxorus doesn't run over your team.

Otherwise team looks solid, glad to help, good luck!

Rating, but it's a pretty solid team so not too many changes. Firstly, remove CM Rachi and put Sub CM Chandy in place of that since it's just way better than Jirachi and like Sage said, you already have Wish support from Florges anyway. Next change Hydreigon to Choice Scarf so you have a bit of speed in your team + you create a Dual Dragon Volturn Core with Amphy which is really strong. As for moveset changes, you have 3 Physical walls so I suggest you change the EVs on Forre to be Specially Defensive since it's a better set for your team. Also on Mega-Ampharos, i'm not sure if the sim makes SpD, Speed but i'm pretty sure it doesn't and I see no reason to run Spdef on Mega Amph. Instead run 44 Speed EVs to outspeed base 50s like Swampert and nail them for a 2HKO with Dragon Pulse (and dump the remaining EVs back into HP). I also don't really see the need for Protect on Swampert and with the hazards you are trying to stack, you would be far better off with Roar to take full advantage of the SR + Spikes your team is aiming to set up. Also Chandy gives you a spinblocker so that's nice too. All the sets can be found below and yeah good luck with your team :]
