Because weather is the most powerful choice. Duh.

Let's go in-depth

Tyranitar (M) - Leftovers
Trait: Sand Stream
Nature: Sassy
EVs: 252 HP/64 SAtk/192 SDef
A Sassy nature with 192 SDef EVs and the SDef boost from Sand Stream allows it to set up SR on almost any special lead. It packs quite a punch, with Crunch as its main STAB move to kill enemys like Reuniclus and Celebi. Fire Blast is for the frequent amount of Steel pokemon used as leads (Ferrothorn, Skarmory, Forretress), and can also kill Scizor if it doesn't has Superpower or Brick Break. I choose Ice Beam over Superpower because I needed to hit pokemon like Gliscor and Dragon pokemon hard, while Superpower deals with Dark, Normal and Steel pokemon. The only normal pokemon you see are Snorlax and Blissey, and Excadrill can take care of Steel, Rock and Dark pokemon, and also Chansey/Blissey. Snorlax is kind of annoying, but Will-O-Wispers and Reuniclus can bring it down at last, or Ferrothorn can Seed it.

Excadrill (M) - Air Balloon
Nature: Adamant
Trait: Sand Rush
EVs: 4 HP/252 Att/252 Spe
-Earthquake
-Rock Slide
-X-Scizzor
-Swords Dance

Yeah, Excadrill is pretty much standard in a Sandstorm team. I gave it a balloon so it can switch around easier in Earthquakes or if there are Spikes on the field, since I lack a spinner on my team. I gave it an Adamant nature for extra power since it doesn't need the extra Speed, since it already get's doubled by Sand Rush. With 252 Speed EVs and Sand Rush, you will be able to outspeed even Scarfed 130's, 252 Attack EVs is for raw power. Swords Dance is on the switch, and Earthquake is my main STAB attack. Rock Slide kills annoying flyers like Togekiss that would usually KO me with Aura Sphere. X-Scizzor kills pokemon like Hydreigon and Reuniclus after one or two Swords Dances.

Rotom Wash Form - Leftovers
Nature: Modest
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 124 HP/252 SAtk/132 Spe
-Hydro Pump
-Thunderbolt
-Will-O-Wisp
-Pain Split

Yeah, I love this Rotom. First I was using a bulky SD Scizor in my team, but it couldn't find its spot there that well. Its bulk, combined with its huge attack power can really opose a threat to other teams. Hydro Pump and ThunderBotl are it's main STAB attacks, and they give really great coverage. Will-O-Wisp is to spread status and cripples enemy's like Scizor and Dragonite. Pain Split is it's only healing move, but it works quite well on Rotom.

Ferrothorn (M) - Leftovers
Nature: Impish
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP/48 Def/208 SDef
-Spikes
-Leech Seed
-Power Whip
-Thunder Wave

This is a great wall in Sandstorm, and it pairs well in terms of entry hazards by laying down Spikes after Hippo has done the same with Stealth Rocks. It would not be the first time I succeed in that, and when you did, it really kills ^^. Power Whip is it's STAB Attack and can do quite some damage on pokemon that are weak to it. Thunder Wave is to cripple fast sweepers, and Leech Seed aids in the outstalling of an enemy, while healing myself of course ^^.

Reuniclus (M) - Life Orb
Nature: Quiet
Trait: Magic Guard
EVs: 192 HP/64 Def/252 SAtk
IVs: 0 Speed
-Trick Room
-Calm Mind
-Psychic
-Recover

Kind of a standard Reuniclus set, but it works pretty awesome in this team. When this one used Trick Room, it outspeeds almost everything, and that together with great bulk and power can be really killing. Goal is to set up Trick Room and collect as many Calm Minds as possible. Recover is to heal any damage gained while collect CM's, and Psychic is it's Strongest STAB attack and can destroy after 2 CM's. Magi Guard is great, as it can switch into entry hazards without having to worry about damage. It also will not receive any damage from it's Life Orb, Sandstorm, Poison or Burn.

Heatran - Air Balloon
Nature: Calm
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP/4 Def/252 SpD
-Lava Plume
-Roar
-Toxic
-Protect

Well, sice I decided to replace Hippowdon with Tyranitar, I needed a new phazer. Heatran perfectly covers up that spot. It's great typing allows it to wall a lot, and with the popularity of pokemon like Scizor and Ferrothorn these days, it can switch around a lot, forcing switches and instantly Roaring them away for some additional SR damage. Toxic is to spread status around and to cripple any walls that do not have the ability to clear their status. Protect is to scout what a reaction will be or to Toxicstall. Lava Plume over Fire Blast because of the accuracy and PP, and over Flamethrower because of the 30% burn hax.

Pokemon already used:
212.gif

Item: Lum Berry
EV's: 252 HP, 40 Atk, 216 SpD
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Technician
- Bullet Punch
- Bug Bite / Superpower / Pursuit
- Swords Dance
- Roost

Jellicent (M) - Leftovers
Nature: Bold
Trait: Water Absorb
EVs: 248 HP/216 Def/44 Spe
-Ice Beam
-Will-O-Wisp
-Taunt
-Recover

Hippowdon (M) - Leftovers
Nature: Impish
Trait: Sand Stream (duh).
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SDef
-Earthquake
-Stealth Rock
-Slack Off
-Roar

Chansey/Blissey would be a pain in the ass. Replace Hippo with Tyranitar.

Tyranitar (M) @ Lum Berry/Leftovers/Chople Berry
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 88 SAtk / 168 SDef
Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)
- Stealth Rock
- Crunch
- Fire Blast
- Superpower

Save Tyranitar for late game cause that's when blisseys come out and play.

True, but I need to use it as lead for both the Sandstream and for laying down Stealth Rocks. That also means I need a new phazer. So I think I will replace Jelli with Latias for a fast Roarer. (I thought Excadrill could deal with Blissey?)

yeah tyranitar is a better choice over hippowdon also skarm and bliss may give you a little trouble otherwise the teams solid barring you lose the weather war :P

Skarmory is easily taken out by Rotom-W I guess. If it doesn't run Whirlwind it's set up fodder for Reuniclus as well.

Little thing in your mention of latias, You said her speed lets her roar away most threats, but roar has a negative priority. If i had one complaint it would be the 4 leftovers you are using. But then again, i dont like using more than one of the same item.

Also why does reunicilus have trick room? It messes up your excadrill.

Final comment, Alot of your pokemon seem bulky, but do you really need that amount of bulk?

Anyway im new so take my comments for what they are worth. All in all, its a good team, but im just confused about a few things.

Trick Room does indeed mess up Excadrill, so I try not to use him when Trick Room is up and instead use Jelli, Hippo or another slow pokemon.

I forgot about the negative Roar priority lol, but a friend of mine gave me a tip to use Roar Heatran, so I'll be using that.

About the bulk, uhm yeah, that bulk is great, but you're right, and that was why I mentioned Tyranitar as a possible replacement for Hippowdon.

Not sure about in todays metagame, but a ddance tyranitar could cause some pain. Uh have you concidered magnezone over rotom wash? Its just a thought, not sure if it would work. Magnezone easily wrecks the prevalient ferrothorn, and skarmary, and even lucario if it is evd properly. Just a thought.

That is an idea, but I would lose a strong STAB Water Attack, and thats kinda important for my team, as pokemon like Balloon Excadrill or Balloon Heatran can get me in a lot of trouble.
It also will give me an extra fire weak, and I already have two fire weaks that are currently absorbed by both Jelli and Rotom.

Ahh i forgot you have fire weaknesses... Well, if heatran and tyranitar are going on, then i think heatran should replace your current reuniclus, unless you swap out trick room for something...

I'm going to swap Heatran with Jellicent. Jellicent doesn't really contribute anything, while Reuniclus can wall Fighting types, and I need that because of Ferrothorn, Excadrill and T-Tar.

Hey, this is a good team. Excadrill presents a pretty big problem though. It can outspeed nearly this entire team and do massive damage with its boosted moves. A quick fix without changing this team too much would be to run a bulkier spread on Rotom-W. This will help you sponge hits from swords dance Excadrill, especially since you have your own balloon Excadrill to speed tie or at least dodge an earthquake to help you out against the life orb variants. I'd try running a spread of 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe with a bold nature on Rotom-W. This will allow you to even take the toughest of hits such as a +2 life orb return and ko back with hydro pump. Volt switch is also an excellent alternative over thunderbolt on Rotom-W as it allows you to lure in threats such as Celebi and the lati twins so that you can easily trap and ko them with Tyranitar. This will be of good use in supporting a Reuniclus sweep later in the match. Speaking of Reuniclus, I would try running a calm mind set over trick room. This team sets up very well for calm mind Reuniclus in that Rotom-W can burn threats such as Scizor and Tyrnaitar while Heatran can rid of taunt + wow Mew which pesters Reuniclus. Also, I would run a spread of 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe with a set of calm mind / psyshock / focus blast / recover so that you not only have an answer to other Reuniclus with this set, but a decent switch into choice band Terrakion.

At this point, I would definitely consider running a scarf on Tyranitar. Choice scarf Tyranitar would work excellently on this team being able to win against Tornadus and Thundurus as well as being able to revenge kill specially based threats such as Gengar, Starmie, and Heatran. It also helps you out a lot against opposing weather by being able to destroy Ninetales easily which can make this team easily win against sun. With this, I'd run a set of stealth rock / lava plume / toxic / roar on Heatran with leftovers over balloon. There is really no point in running balloon on specially defensive Heatran, especially since it is meant to sponge hits, so leftovers is a much better option. Finally, you might want to consider running rapid spin and a jolly nature on Excadrill. Rapid spin Excadrill can really help you against Skarmory which can spike against a few members of this team. Jolly nature over adamant on Excadrill is a quick fix to adamant life orb Excadrill so that it won't be a huge nuisance to this team as Rotom-W can win against most other variants. gl.

I've been already thinking about ScarfTar myself actually, andI think I will keep SR on it ^^. They never see it coming in later and then get surprised by the fact it wears a scarf while laying SR down earlier. I dunno about de Trick Room switch to Reuniclus, because it currently supports other slow pokemon on my team like Heatran, Tyranitar and Ferrothorn aside of Reuniclus.

Rapid Spin may be an option, although X-Scissor is really a big help against enemys like Hydreigon and Espeon. Plus Excadrill, Reuniclus and Rotom arent hurt by Spikes at all. I will try the different EV set on Rotom, makes sence to me. Still need something to counter Conkeldurr though. Reuniclus survives a Guts activated Payback and OHKO's back with Psychic, but when Reuniclus is down it can hit a lot of my pokemon super effective (Heatran, Ferrothorn, Excadrill and Tyranitar).

Thanks for your rate ^^.
