Jellicent

Well the physically defensive set has a lot easier time switching into threats like Terrakion and Landorus. Remember, Jellicent doesn't get priority on it's will-o-wisp so frequently it needs that defense for BEFORE it manages to burn the opponent.

Of course Specially Defensive has its own merits, like the aforementioned spinblocking prowess. It has its downfalls too, which is why there are two defensive sets sets :P

Having written the S.Def set, I can attest to its insane bulk. It's kinda played like a different Blissey, not wanting to stay in on physical attacks. That's where its main fault lies, but its strengths are numerous. Being able to spinblock against ANYTHING (even that dreaded Torkoal) is a great trait as is being able to tank Specs Draco Meteors from Latios (Not even 2HKO'd!). I think the main reasons why people aren't using it are 1) It's extremely oriented towards stall and 2) It's not as versatile as the Utility Counter.

I used Spdef jellicent for my stall team, and it was great, basically spinblocking everything except excadrill, which is banned now. It did have problems with donphan, though-you had to predict the switch-in. Great special wall plus spinblocker, and taunt plus night shade screws with many, many threats.

Not sure if you wrote it before i used it, but i may or may not have partially helped pioneer that set. (Or i may just be overly arrogant?)

It's always been around as a variant of the main set, many people have used it since the beginning of BW, I just wrote it up.

I use the utility counter set on my hail team and it has definitely saved me many times. He passes around burns and is (IMO) one of the best counters to Scizor as long as it isn't choice locked into pursuit :)
