Jesseus' Fakemons

CBF digging up my old, crappy art thread. So here's a new, crappy art thread!
Yesterday I got into a groove and drew some Fakemons.
Warning: These a re photos taken on my phone so quality may not be fantastic...

Original Drawn Version
SCARAMUD
Bug/Ground
Stench/Swarm/Overcoat
Based on scarab beetles, which are of course a kind of dung beetle. It's born inside a ball of mud (poop seemed a little unsavoury for a Pokemon...) which it wears as armour.
Mascarab.jpg

MASCARAB
Bug/Ground
Stench/Swarm/Overcoat
Still a scarab. This one rolls around on top of its mud ball to move. Also, egyptian eyes, because scarabs were important in Egyptian mythology. Hence Mascarab = Mascara + Scarab. :p
Khepritle.jpg

KHEPRITLE
Bug/Fire
Serene Grace/Swarm/Magic Guard
Based on Eqyptian god Khepri, a Scarab sumbolising the morning sun. The flaming mudball represents said sun. He has Serene Grace because he's godly-ish, and because he is sacred and fiery he also has Sacred Fire. Or maybe it's more that I wanted a mon with those two combined but shhh.
Devicub.jpg

DEVICUB
Dark/Electric
Bite Force/Intimidate/Guts
Based on a Tasmanian Devil. Devils have the strongest pound for pound biting power of any living mammal, hence his custom ability which boosts the power of Biting moves by 50%. They're also the world's largest living Marsupial predator since Thylacines went extinct...
Thylackey.jpg

THYLACKEY
Dark/Electric
Bite Force/Intimidate/Guts
Based on the recently extinct Tasmanian Tiger (or Thylacine) this time, though it maintains the Devil's coloration. This family basically evolves backwards through time, sort of like Piloswine->Mamoswine.
Thyleo-1.png

Original Drawn Version
THYLEO
Dark/Electric
Bite Force/Intimidate/Guts
Based on the less recently extinct Thylacaleo carnifex, or Marsupial Lion. In a similar vein to the tasmanian devils, the marsupial lion is thought to have had the strongest pound for pound bite force of any mammal ever, so the Pokemon's evolutionary links and ability remain justified.
Galisilisk2-1.jpg
Galisilisk.jpg

GALISILISK
Poison/Dragon
Levitate
Based on the mythical Cockatrice. The name comes from Gallus (the species name of chickens) and Basilisk, which is can be similar or even synonomous with a Cockatrice depending on which interpretation you find. Two pictures because one of them came out a little messy, so I wanted a clearer one.
Rokadyllo.jpg

ROKADYLLO
Rock/Ground
Sturdy/Mold Breaker/Battle Armour
It's an armadillo. Made of rocks. Probably been done before. Oh well.
Glyptyllo.jpg

GLYPTYLLO
Rock/Ground
Sturdy/Mold Breaker/Battle Armour
Oh yeah this is another one of those Back through time families. It's based on a Glyptodon, which are ancient ancestors of Armadillos.
Ankyllo.jpg

ANKYLLO
Rock/Ground
Sturdy/Mold Breaker/Battle Armour
It's an Ankylosaurus. They're not actually closely related to the others at all, but they look damn similar, so...
Skiink.jpg

SKIINK
Water
Inner Focus/Limber/Quick Feet
Based on the basilisk, as in the actual lizard which runs on water (aka the Jesus Christ Lizard), rather than the mythical beast. Has some qualities of amphibians added on for stylistic purposes. It's name is Skiing+Skink, and is pronounced like "Skiing" only with a k on the end.
Jezard.jpg

Jezard
Water/Dragon
Inner Focus/Limber/Quick Feet
Basically just a more mature form of the other one.
Skurge.jpg

Skurge
Dark/Bug
My friend said there should be a Pokemon based on whip spiders. So I made one. It takes design elements from stereotypical medieval Dungeon workers, with the black masks and whatnot. Haven't thought of abilities yet.

That's all for now.

I like the Scaramud family as well as the Rokadyllo the most. I would suggest using all white paper and lighter outline strokes before making hard lines.

Well... this wasn't a resounding success...
But Oh well. If I'm still making things I might as well put them here
Here's a digitised Scaramud:
scaramudcolour.png

I like the designs, but just a little nitpick of the picture you just did of the Devicub(?) line. The body is at a three quarter view, while the head is side on. The two poses don't really mesh together, so it'd look better if the head was a three quarter view as well.
Really nice, clean drawings though, Scaramud is adorbs n_n
