ORAS OU Juggernauts Inc. (Bulky Offensive)

So I been messing around with a fairly Bulky Offensive team right now. So far, I been enjoying it, but am suffering some glaring weaknesses that can easily be exploited and feel this can be polished more.

Heatran (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earth Power
- Flash Cannon
- Lava Plume

I went with a high offensive Rock Setter set. The 252 Speed investments can catch people off guard. Lava Plume as its the fairly standard STAB move with his high chance of burn. Earth Power to KO opposing Heatran. Flash Cannon so I can deal with Fairy types, this this walls pretty well. I am considering of swapping it for more defensive spreads, so it isn't as prone to being 1HKO but super effective moves.

Venusaur (M) @ Venusaurite
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 232 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 20 Spe
Modest Nature
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Leech Seed
- Synthesis

The Mega-Evolution of the team. Mega-Venusaur is an epitome of the type of Pokemon I strive for. Being able to take a beating, while being able to hit back for a fairly respectable amount of damage. I was considering of using HP Fire in place of Leech Seed, but as I am also running Sand on this team, I thought it might of been better to have that second source of healing to take care of residual damage from the Sand.

Azumarill @ Assault Vest
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 240 HP / 252 Atk / 16 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Play Rough
- Superpower
- Waterfall
- Aqua Jet

Went with a Bulky Assault Vest set, as I wanted a Bulky Offensive water type. I was considering Manaphy at first, but decided with Amumarill as it can wall Dragon types, which are fairly prominent and everywhere. The move set is Fairly standard, with Superpower to help smash Steel types that attempt to switch in.

Scizor @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- U-turn
- Knock Off
- Defog
- Bullet Punch

The Defog and Pivot of my team. I originally had a Choice Band, but decided to swap it out for a Life Orb, as I wanted to use Scizor as my Defogger. Originally, I had Latias as that role, but I been finding situations where I could not safely switch her in to Defog and as she was also my only real big sweeper I had, it felt too risky to lose my largest offensive presence to Defog. I am considering of swapping out 1 Pokemon for another Pivot to run alongside this, but unsure as to what.

Kyurem-Black @ Life Orb
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 20 Atk / 252 SpA / 236 Spe
Mild Nature
- Ice Beam
- Earth Power
- Fusion Bolt
- Roost

The main sweeper of my team. Originally, as I mentioned beforehand, I had Latias as this role, as well as a Defogger, but been running into issues of being able to safely use her Defog and keep her healthy enough for Sweeping. I have been considering of using a Substitute set over the Life Orb set, for a bit more longevity.

Tyranitar (M) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Sand Stream
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 248 HP / 80 Def / 180 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Crunch
- Stone Edge
- Pursuit
- Earthquake

Lastly, my Pursuit Trapper. Assault Vest is not a common choice, I know, but I wanted to experiment with it a little bit. With the 50% SpD bonus in the Sand on top of the 50% bonus from the Vest, he can take a huge beating from special attackers, and when healthy enough, also be able to tank Focus Blasts aimed at it. I have been considering using Choice Scarf instead, but didn't really like having to lock myself into a single move with the fairly wide coverage I have.

Weaknesses:

So far, some weaknesses I found while playing:

Flying Types:
Although I do have Heatran and Tyranitar to tank them, I lack much coverage for them outside of Kyruem's Fusion Bolt and Tyranitar's Stone Edge.

Fast Offensive Sweepers:
As most of my Pokemon are on the lower end of the spectrum in terms of Speed, I am very easily revenge killed and prone to taking big hits.

Excadrill: As I am running Sand, it hurts when the opponent has an Excadrill with Sand Rush, using my own Sand against me. My only real potential checks for it is my Heatran and his Lava Plume and Azumarill. Heatran will most likely be unable to survive at all, and Azumarill would have to rely on getting a good hit off Aqua Jet to really put the pain on it.

Ehy :)
Life Orb + Defog on Scizor is useless, because Life Orb is a good but Sword Dance is necessary, mi suggest is to try the Choice Band Set in this team, with Pursuit that help you vs Latios/Latias and Alakazam/Gengar that are annoying for this team.
Scizor @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Superpower
- Pursuit
Tyranitar is unnecessary in this team, because you have scizor for Latios/Latias and Tyranitar disturbing Venusaur and Azumarill with the sand. My suggest is to try Latios>Tyranitar because give you a Defog support and a switch in for Keldeo, that is really annoying for this team.
Latios @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Roost
- Defog
I think that Choice Band>Assault Vest because you don't really need to Assault Vest in this team, and Choice Band give you a good wallbreaker support, that is appreciated in this team. The given EV spread allows Azumarill to outpace uninvested base 60 Speed Pokemon, such a Clefable for example.
Azumarill @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 172 HP / 252 Atk / 84 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Play Rough
- Waterfall
- Aqua Jet
- Superpower
Lopunny and Sand Teams/Bisharp are really annoying for this build, I think that Tank Chomp>Heatran is a better option, because helps you against this problems.
Garchomp @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 240 HP / 176 Def / 92 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Dragon Tail
- Fire Blast
Leech Seed in a offensive set is useless, I think that Hidden Power Fire is really good for this team, because helps the Kyurem and Azumarill sweep's.
Venusaur (M) @ Venusaurite
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 232 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 20 Spe
Modest Nature
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- hidden power fire
- Synthesis

Hey Chaotic Ryu, your team has potential, but there are a few redundancies and poor set choices that could be improved.

Offensive Heatran is a viable, but your set doesn't really capitalize its strengths. Lava Plume should only be used on defensive sets to make use of a high PP move with decent power that can burn. But on an offensive set, you should try to capitalize on your ability to hit as hard as possible. So, to provide your team with something to help your matchup against stall, you should run a set of Taunt / Magma Storm / Earth Power / Toxic on Heatran. Taunt and Toxic help Heatran break Pokemon like Bulk Up Talonflame and Volcarona 1v1 much more reliably due to it preventing them from setting up while wearing them down. Magma Storm allows you to trap Pokemon like Chansey to wear them down with Toxic and Magma Storm damage at the end of every turn, while Taunt prevents recovery. Earth Power helps you beat opposing Heatran for M-Venusaur, as well as catch Talonflame using Roost, and Charizard-X.

Assault Vest Azumarill is pretty useless on a team with M-Venusaur and Tyranitar which check almost everything it does, so you should run Clefable > Azumarill. Clefable provides you with a much need M-Lopunny switch-in, a check to fast electric types like M-Manectric and Raikou, as well as a win condition with Calm Mind. You can run Thunder Wave for a form of speed control and a way to fare better against opposing Calm Mind Clefable, or you can run Focus Blast to 2HKO Chansey at +6, dent into Skarmory, and beat Heatran 1v1.

Next, you should run Skarmory > Scizor as your Defog user to patch up your immense weakness to M-Pinsir. Skarmory also acts as a Bisharp check, which you previously didn't have, and a provides you with a much needed Ground immunity to prevent your team from being destroyed by Sand Rush Excadrill and Earth Plate Landorus-T. You should also definitely run Hidden Power Fire > Leech Seed on M-Venusaur since Leech Seed in general is a subpar option on it, but you're also offensive and should have an additional coverage option that prevents you from being walled by Steel types outside of Heatran.

Assault Vest is a waste of an item slot for Tyranitar since it technically already has one from Sand Stream boosting its SpDef anyway. Running an Assault Vest doesn't really make it check anything it couldn't before, and makes it miss out on utility moves like Stealth Rock or Thunder Wave. You should run Chople Berry > Assault Vest on Tyranitar and Stealth Rock > Earthquake since this helps you take Superpower from Tornadus-T and Focus Blast from Charizard-Y, Gengar, and Alakazam while also providing you a new hazard setter in place of Heatran. Lastly, you should consider Hidden Power Fire > Roost on Kyurem-B to lure in Ferrothorn and Scizor to support Clefable. Losing Roost does make you weaker to Manaphy though.

An alternative route can take with the team is to run Life Orb Tornadus-T with Superpower and Heat Wave instead of Kyurem-B so you can lure in and take out Skarmory and Heatran for Clefable, while also having more speed on the team and a better way of breaking stall. If you do opt to do this, Stored Power would be preferred on Clefable to break Unaware Clefable, Chansey, and fare better against opposing Calm Mind users. M-Venusaur would also have to run a SpDef set though to make the team be able to handle Tail Glow Manaphy better without Kyurem-Black. You'd also be able to run Spikes > Defog on Skarmory since Tornadus-T has Regenerator and doesn't really mind Stealth Rock too much, but since opposing Spikes can be annoying for you, keeping Defog wouldn't be a bad choice.

Hope i was able to help!

_Astral_ I feel using 3 Dragon types like that could become bit of a liability for me, especially vs faster Fairy types.

celes What about a U-Turn set for Tornadus? What would be the best move to drop for that? I like the idea of being able to keep some momentum going.
