Hey guys, I'm new to the forums. I use this team mostly to battle RL friends.
1.
Spiritomb@Leftovers
200HP/120ATK/190DEF
Pursuit
Will-o-Wisp
Sucker Punch
Pain Split
This guy is for either wearing down a starter, powering down a power-hitter, or killing other leads. Pursuit is used instead of Taunt because Tomb is really too slow to use it effectively, and if taunted itself, can spam Pursuit till I anticipate an attack, in which case I use Sucker Punch.
This set has problem with sleeping leads.
2
Salamence @ Life Orb
120ATK/252SPA/136SPE
Rash
Roost
Brick Break
Draco Meteor
Flamethrower
Standard Mixmence, I use this guy mostly for killing tanks. Brick Break and Flamethrower are for coverage, Roost heals although I usually don't have time to pull it off. I'm thinking of replacing this guy but he's too good to just drop right now without a really viable alternative mixed.
3.
Starmie @ Leftovers
Timid
160HP/132SPA/216SPE
Recover
Rapid Spin
Thunderbolt
Surf
Typical spinner. Very fast and can put a dent in many threats, Tbolt is for coverage but also to prevent being walled by bulky waters. One of my friends uses a Vaporeon which I find to be a huge pain to take down. Sort of fills my special sweeper spot but I am looking for an alternative.
4. Bronzong
Bronzong @ Leftovers
Sassy 252HP/86ATK/80DEF/92SPD
Hypnosis
Gyro Ball
Earthquake
Stealth Rock
I can't tell you how much I love this guy. He always has a spot on my OU teams because his impeccible ability to survive multuple hits from almost any immediate threat, REMOVE a threat, and heavily damge with Gyro Balls or EQ. Usually when I take this guy out his replacement gets owned by some stupid supereffective attack. And in most cases the other tank doesn't have the reliable sleep move.
5.
Cresselia@Leftovers
Calm 252HP/200DEF/56SPD
Charge Beam
Ice Beam
Sleep
Sleep Talk
I chose a sleep talking set because the Cress I stumbled upon in my game happened to be Calm, and I haven't looked back. If it weren't for its weakness to dark and bug, it would blow my Bronzong out of the water with it's ability to be beaten and battered and come out with only a few scars. It's one of the newer members of my team, my previous efforts including Dusknoir and some others. It's a keeper unless I'm shown something MUCH more effective!
6.
Lucario @ Lifeorb
SD Luke GG
I chose this guy because I liked him in Brawl before I got into competitive Pokemon. Overall, he is extremely impressive, in most cases when he gets a dance off its GG. I can only kill Gengars on a predictive switch, but other than that it's unlucky EQs or LO recoil that downs him.
That's my team. Now I will go into what I have trouble with. First of all I usually have problems with Gengar, Curselax, Weavile, Machamp, among a few others that my friends use.
Any suggestions? Thanks.
