[OVERVIEW]
Despite facing competition from fellow Psychic- and Ice-type wallbreakers like Galarian Articuno and Vanilluxe, Jynx manages to set itself apart from them. Nasty Plot and Lovely Kiss is a deadly combination that lets Jynx create its own setup opportunities, and at +2, Jynx is hard to switch into. However, Jynx's most important aspect is Focus Blast, which nearly invalidates Steel-types like Togedemaru and Ferroseed, usually solid Psychic- and Ice-type switch-ins. However, Jynx has next to no defensive utility courtesy of poor bulk, a typing with no valuable resistances, and a weakness to Stealth Rock, with its only saving grace being a Water immunity via Dry Skin. Jynx also sits at an unfortunate Speed tier, Speed tying with common foes such as Galarian Articuno and offensive Silvally formes, as well as being outsped by Charizard. Due to Jynx's meager bulk, almost everything that outspeeds it will OHKO it. Finally, competing wallbreakers like Galarian Articuno and Sneasel are considerably easier to fit on teams.

[SET]
name: Nasty Plot
move 1: Nasty Plot
move 2: Lovely Kiss
move 3: Ice Beam
move 4: Psyshock / Focus Blast
item: Heavy-Duty Boots / Focus Sash
ability: Dry Skin
nature: Timid
evs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Nasty Plot turns Jynx into a powerful wallbreaker with few consistent switch-ins at +2, while Lovely Kiss can put checks like Gigalith to sleep, allowing it to set up. Psyshock is used over Psychic to hit specially defensive walls like Audino and Eldegoss harder, while Focus Blast is used to hit Steel-types like Perrserker. Heavy-Duty Boots is standard, but Focus Sash makes Jynx a decent lead on offensive teams, incapacitating a foe with Lovely Kiss for a partner to take advantage of. Due to Jynx's low defensive utility, slow pivots like Wishiwashi and Togedemaru are useful for helping Jynx get in; they can also switch into threatening Fire- and Bug-types like Charizard and Ninjask for it. Jynx can set up on checks that are asleep and Choice-locked Psychic-types using a Psychic-type move, like Galarian Articuno and Mesprit; Pokemon that can force these in, like Garbodor and Poliwrath, are heavily appreciated. These also synergize well with Jynx by piling chip damage onto Jynx's switch-ins via entry hazards and phazing.

[SET]
name: Choice Specs
move 1: Ice Beam
move 2: Psyshock / Psychic
move 3: Focus Blast
move 4: Trick
item: Choice Specs
ability: Dry Skin
nature: Timid / Modest
evs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Choice Specs turns Jynx into a powerful wallbreaker with more immediate power than the Nasty Plot set. However, it makes Jynx more susceptible to entry hazards, especially Stealth Rock. Trick debilitates a switch-in like Aromatisse. This set needs more dedicated, consistent hazard removal from Pokemon like Eldegoss and Charizard to work. Offensive partners like Scyther can bring Jynx in on their switch-ins, like Weezing and Regirock, while wearing down shared switch-ins such as Gigalith. Cleaners such as Ribombee and Choice Scarf Gallade also appreciate Jynx wearing down shared checks like Togedemaru and Aromatisse.

Yeah still interested. Sorry for the delay, I tried writing it up a week ago but then half the analysis got deleted and I haven't really had the motivation for it. I'll still write it up though.

[OVERVIEW]
Despite facing competition from fellow Psychic- and Ice-type breakers like Articuno-Galar and Vanniluxe, Jynx's unique qualities set itself apart from them. While its secondary STAB often offers redundant coverage, it is decent from threatening out Grass-types like Eldegoss and Tangela this just reads confusingly, I'm not sure how many people will immediately know that ice is secondary and not primary stab and the distinction doesn't mean much. also psychic would do a lot to both i think, defo tangela. i wouldnt really call the dual coverage redundant either. Nasty Plot and Lovely Kiss is a deadly combination that lets Jynx create its own setup opportunities, and at +2, Jynx is hard to switch into. However, Jynx's most important aspect is Focus Blast, which nearly invalidates Steel-types like Togedemaru and Ferroseed as answers, which are usually solid Psychic- and Ice-type switch-ins. However, Jynx has numerous flaws that prevent it from seeing more use. Jynx has next to no defensive utility courtesy of poor bulk, a typing that offers it no valuable resistances and a weakness to Stealth Rock, with its only saving grace being a Water immunity via Dry Skin. Jynx also sits at an unfortunate Speed tier, Speed tying with common foes such as Articuno-Galar and offensive Silvally forms, as well as being outsped by Charizard i feel like this point could be honed in on a little better, literally anything faster than jynx should be able to revenge kill it. Finally, Jynx faces competition from fellow Psychic- and Ice-type breakers like Mesprit and Glastrier due to their splashability and ease to fit on teams.

It also goes well on offensive teams that appreciate Pokemon being asleep so they can set up on them, so Pokemon that appreciate free turns, like Hitmonlee and Meteor Beam Archeops i dont know about these examples, jynx + other wallbreakers that frail is mad risky, just 2 mons with no defensive utility. would like at least one of the mentions to be a little more solid, make for great offensive partners that can also threaten out Jynx's switch-ins like Gigalith if something on the opposing team is already asleep.

Trick cripples a switch-in like Aromatisse with Choice Specs. This set needs more dedicated hazard removal to work, so Pokemon like Eldegoss and Hitmontop are recommended in order to consistently keep entry hazards off Jynx's side of the field. Offensive partners like Scyther can bring Jynx in on their switch-ins like Weezing and Regirock while wearing down shared switch-ins such as Gigalith. Entry hazards support from Pokemon like Qwilfish and Aggron is useful for wearing down most of Jynx's switch-ins. A specific partner that can help Jynx is Neutralizing Gas Weezing, which can neuter Regenerator from Eldegoss and Audino while crippling opposing Pokemon with status or laying Toxic Spikes.
cleaners that like big strong specs mon breaking things. pretty standard but for a breaker this strong a necessary mention
