[SET COMMENTS]
Keldeo can boost its offensive power using Calm Mind and improve its wall breaking capabilities, allowing it to deal with walls like Celesteela easier after a boost or two. Taunt prevents Pokemon like Toxapex and Mantine from using Haze and recovery moves, and other opposing Pokemon from using utility moves like status moves. Hydro Pump is the primary move to use on Keldeo to maximize its wallbreaking power, while Scald is a good alternative that offers the ability to burn opponents and has more reliable accuracy at the cost of some power. In that same vein, Secret Sword is usually the primary Fighting STAB move of choice thanks to its ability to hit the Defense stat rather than the Special Defense stat, allowing Keldeo to hit special walls like Blissey and Gastrodon better. However, Aura Sphere allows it to OHKO important Pokemon like Ferrothorn after a boost. Both of these moves have a consistent benefit in hitting Water-type immune Pokemon like Mantine and Gastrodon. Leftovers is the preferred item on Calm Mind sets due to its ability to passively heal Keldeo and allow it to have more longevity during the match. A Timid nature allows it to outspeed key Pokemon like Mimikyu and Zapdos.
Fighting teams are packed with powerful breakers and revenge killers that synergize well with Keldeo's wallbreaking traits and appreciate Keldeo's ability to deal with walls like Toxapex and Skarmory. Cobalion is a great teammate as it sets Stealth Rock which can break opposing Focus Sashes and Sturdy on Pokemon like Cloyster, Skarmory and Shuckle and also can pivot into Keldeo with Volt Switch or use Thunder Wave to slow down faster threats to Keldeo like Choice Scarf Galarian Darmanitan and Choice Scarf Tapu Lele. Cobalion and Lucario can also take care of opposing Fairy-types that threaten Keldeo such as Tapu Bulu and Hatterene while Keldeo in return deals with Ground-types like Landorus-T that threaten them. Terrakion helps get rid of opposing Flying types like Mandibuzz and Thundurus-T. Terrakion can also run a Double Dance set with Rock Polish and Swords Dance to form a powerful offensive core with Keldeo or can use its Speed to check scary Psychic-types with Megahorn. Heracross and Buzzwole help with Psychic-types, picking off both bulky and frail Psychic-types like Mew, Slowking, and Celebi. Virizion also supports Keldeo by giving it dual screens support which allows Keldeo to take more hits to revenge kill Pokemon like Excadrill more reliably and also set up more Calm Minds. Hawlucha helps check dangerous Grass-types for Keldeo while still being an amazing late-game Unburden sweeper that likes Keldeo's ability to break walls like Skarmory and Celesteela.

Substitute can be used over Taunt and allows it to snowball against weaker teams that cannot break its Substitute while also avoiding status conditions from moves like Sludge Bomb and Scald. However, due to not having taunt, this set is weaker to hazers like Toxapex.
