[DESCRIPTION]

Keldeo is one of the only viable special attackers on Fighting teams, and its strong STAB combination of Hydro Pump and Secret Sword deals a lot of damage when paired with Choice Specs.

Hydro Pump is the most damaging STAB move that Keldeo has in its arsenal, capable of OHKO'ing Garchomp and Hippowdon, both Pokemon that Fighting struggles to break. However, for consistency at the cost of less damage, you can use Scald. It has a much lower damage output than Hydro Pump, but it's more reliable and can cripple switch-ins like Jirachi and Garchomp with its 30% chance to burn. Secret Sword is able to threaten special walls that aim to stop this set, such as Blissey or Gastrodon. Air Slash deals super-effective damage to Grass-types that would otherwise wall this set, such as Amoonguss or Rillaboom. However, it doesn't offer much utility past those two matchups. Flip Turn preserves momentum; however, with Keldeo's Speed EV's, a safe switch isn't always guaranteed. Focus Blast can be used over Secret Sword; however, its 70% accuracy is risky, and if you're not running a Flip Turn set, you're going to lose a lot of momentum against special walls such as Gastrodon and

Some good teammates include Cobalion, who can set up Stealth Rock support and hit Fairy-types with Iron Head. It can also tank Grass- and Electric-type moves. In return, Keldeo tanks Fire-type attacks from Cinderace and Heatran. Also, if you're running Flip Turn, Choice Banded Zapdos-Galar and Unburden Power Herb Hawlucha can deal a lot of damage to specially defensive Grass-types like Amoonguss. As an added bonus, Blaze Kick from Zapdos-Galar scores super-effective damage on Ferrothorn and Jirachi. For both of them, Keldeo can punish common Rock-type switch-ins such as Nihilego and Tyranitar with Hydro Pump.

Hi, there's a format on how to write set analyses, which is found here.

Specifically, the way the analysis has been written is a bit weird, it may be nice to check out some set analyses like this, and this. For the set comments, it would be helpful to state what / who this move hits, and if the power difference between Hydro Pump and Scald (or the mechanic difference between Secret Sword and Aura Sphere) will affect some matchups Keldeo has. You should also explain the EV spread, and the possible difference between Modest / Timid Keld (as it turns the Garchomp matchup into a losing one because of the drop in speed :blobsad: ). Also, I think Specs Keld doesn't run Taunt (plus you cant Taunt Hatt because of Magic Bounce anyway), as Specs locks you into a move (so you'd lose momentum if you used Taunt). The Keld set I'd recommend is:
[SET]
name: Choice Specs (Fighting)
move 1: Secret Sword / Aura Sphere
move 2: Hydro Pump
move 3: Icy Wind
move 4: Flip Turn / Scald
item: Choice Specs
ability: Justified
nature: Timid
evs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

On the teammates section, its nice to check the viability rankings so that the mons you write there are on par with Keldeo's viability. :blobnom:

you don’t need separate paragraphs for each move. one line per move is best. do one line for the item. then do a separate paragraph for teammates, listing viable pokemon (not pangoro). i’m glad to see you removed specs taunt, i’d go with this set though:
Name: Choice Specs (Fighting)
move 1. Hydro Pump
move 2. Secret Sword
move 3. Scald
move 4. Air Slash / Flip Turn
item: Choice Specs
nature: Timid
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

you don’t need random defense evs (you didn’t even say what they were for afaik) or modest, and double water stab is best cause u want to spam that. you can put icy wind in oo which you aren’t in charge of, so it’s fine if you just leave it in the paragraph but don’t slash it.

make these changes and i’ll look at it again. dm me on disc if u have questions

Changes implemented, thanks. I changed the EV spread to allow it to live a Trick Room Hatterene Dazzling Gleam.

d3adbydayl1ght an offensive choiced user doesn't use maximum special defense over special attack. This minimizes its wallbreaking capabilities. Felines is a part of the official Monotype QC team and he provided the best EVs available for Choice Specs Keldeo so please implement these changes. We have a lot of work to do with this analysis and prepping for Hatterene when it's going to 6-0 Fighting regardless (along with the other Psychic or Fairy Pokemon), it's not worth. Join the Monotype Discord for any set discussion on Monotype analyses and don't hesitate to ask questions, thanks!

Reverted back to Feline's EV spread of 252/252/4.
Thanks

Pretty sure its not Icy Wind / Hydro Pump, use the set Fewines gave you

Secret sword does very low damage to Psychic mons like Tapu Lele tho btw, Air Slash isnt so bad when ur probably hitting amoon with it...

(fixed the formatting + changed the order of this slightly. generally, the moves are meant to go from most important to least important, with the most important being at the top. in this case, hydro pump is the most important because water stab is not common on fighting teams, while fighting moves are, which is why the current order doesn’t make sense)
[SET COMMENTS]
Keldeo is practically the only one of the few viable special attackers on Fighting-type MU's teams. This set aims to maximize that potential by using Specs. Scald is preferred over Hydro Pump or Surf: over the former due to its consistency, and over the latter due to its burn chance. A Scald burn can minimize damage from Bronzong's Heavy Slam, Jirachi's Iron Head, Belly Drum Huge Power Azumarill's Knock Off, and Grimmsnarl's Play Rough, and also scoring OHKO's on Sand Rush Excadrill, 2HKO'ing Sand Setter Hippowdon, and 2HKO'ing Swords Dance Garchomp. However, For more immediate power, Hydro Pump is used as the most damaging and effective Water STAB. is very effective, as it's a 110 base power STAB move that's coming from a Specs user Scald is also used for a more consistent option, with a burn chance that can cripple Pokemon such as Jirachi and Garchomp. (reworded scald sentence as a more equal alternative to hydro pump. scald isn’t objectively better, so the sentence shouldnt frame it that way. you also had way too many examples) Secret Sword is consistently strong Fighting STAB that can circumvent specially defensive walls such as Blissey and Gastrodon. Psychic-types such as Tapu Lele (why would you ever secret sword a lele). which otherwise Keldeo wouldn't do anything to; however, Aura Sphere can't miss and deals more damage to Steel-types, due to Secret Sword's circumvention of Special Defense, so it's up in the air what you want to pick. (think we’ve decided to just remove aura sphere altogether, it has no relevant advantage over secret sword. you don’t have to worry about steel-types that much, this is a fighting analysis and the differences aren’t important that much)These are also Keldeo's secondary STAB moves. Air Slash is handy for a key flinch, also scores super-effective damage on Celebi and opposing Grass-types like Amoonguss and Tapu Bulu. (more relevant grass examples, don’t think you need to mention the flinch chance since it comes into play very rarely) The problem is that it's a very niche move, and not one you'd want to be locked into. Also, Flip Turn preserves key momentum and can allow a pivot out of a dangerous situation. Icy Wind guarantees a OHKO on Garchomp and Landorus-T, but fails to do much damage to anything else, because of its low power. The Speed drop is good, but it's not STAB and it's only 55 base power. (moved this to end of the paragraph cause it’s not slashed, as it should be)
+ add a mention of focus blast as a stronger but less reliable alternative to secret sword

Teammates include Cobalion, as Specs Keldeo appreciates its Stealth Rock chip support and its ability to check Fairy-types and the breaking of common Shell Smash users' Focus Sashes. Keldeo also appreciates that it can check Fairy-types with its typing and Iron Head. In return, Keldeo can check Fire-types that would otherwise kill it. Some other good teammates include Swords Dance Power Herb Unburden Hawlucha, who can OHKO Celebi, Rillaboom, and Zarude with Sky Attack, three Pokemon that would give Keldeo a lot of trouble. Finally, Choice Band Zapdos-Galar can take care of Jirachi with Blaze Kick and deal either neutral or super-effective damage (depending on Bronzong's ability) to Bronzong. (not gonna strike through everything, but combine the hawlucha and zapdos-g sentences because they do similar things, you really only need to mention grass-types as examples) Keldeo helps both of them by tanking Rock-type attacks from Terrakion, Tyranitar, and Nihilego.
+ add terrakion and buzzwole

252 Speed EV's and a Timid nature allow Keldeo to outspeed max Speed Jolly Garchomp and max Speed Tapu Lele. 252 Special Attack EV's are to boost Keldeo's STAB moves, while 4 Special Defense EV's are there to slightly cushion some neutral moves. (evs are self explanatory here)

(this is my first time doing this, please tell me how to improve, thanks!)*

d3adbydayl1ght I'm going to recommend checking out some of the uploaded analyses before we continue checking this analysis Monotype | SS | Smogon Strategy Pokedex. I feel like we've reached a point where if we keep checking we are essentially writing the analysis for you. Some major issues I've noticed were the 252 SpD / 252 Speed + Choice Specs, Keldeo acting as a "Rock resist" in a Fighting analysis when there can be more effective notes like Fairy neutrality (Cobalion), and Water checks. Be sure to check out the viability rankings and sample teams. Unfortunately, I'm going to reject this analysis but if you make improvements we will proceed with QC.

Uh, ok then. I made a new analysis with *in my mind* improvements.

[SET COMMENTS]
Keldeo is one of the few viable special attackers on Fighting-type teams (might be nice to mention what matchups specifically Keld helps in, and what mons does this nom that fighting usually struggles with (like Hippowdon, for instance)) . This set aims to maximize that potential by using Specs. (this should be at the end) For immediate power, Hydro Pump is used as the most damaging and effective Water STAB (what does this hit?). Scald is also used for a more consistent option, with a burn chance that can cripple Pokemon such as Jirachi and Garchomp. Secret Sword is consistently strong Fighting STAB that can circumvent threatens specially defensive walls that aim to wall Keldeo's attacks such as Blissey and Gastrodon. These are also Keldeo's secondary STAB moves. Scald is also used for a more consistent option, with a burn chance that can cripple Pokemon such as Jirachi and Garchomp. (more or less you use scald to confirm kills. Jirachi and Garchomp likely wont switch in Keld, Psy has Galarian Slowking and Dragon has Dragalge for this) Air Slash scores super-effective damage on opposing threatens Grass-types like Amoonguss and Tapu Bulu that switch in on Keldeo. Flip Turn may be used as it allows Keldeo's team mates to capitalize on forced switches. preserves key momentum and can allow a pivot out of a dangerous situation. Icy Wind guarantees a OHKO on Garchomp and Landorus-T, but fails to do much damage to anything else, because of its low power. The Speed drop is good, but it's not STAB and it's only 55 base power. Focus Blast can be used as a much higher BP alternative than Secret Sword; however, it has iffy accuracy and has caused many key misses. (You dont have an Other options section, add the Choice Specs line here and why Timid nature is used)

Teammates include Cobalion, as Specs Keldeo appreciates its Stealth Rock support and its ability to check Fairy-types. In return, Keldeo can check Fire-types that would otherwise kill it. Some other good teammates include Swords Dance Power Herb Unburden Hawlucha and/or Choice Band Zapdos-Galar, who can both OHKO Celebi, Rillaboom, and Amoonguss with Sky Attack and Blaze Kick respectively, three Pokemon that would give Keldeo a lot of trouble. Keldeo helps both of them by tanking Rock-type attacks from Terrakion, Tyranitar, Nihilego, and Buzzwole (Buzzwole doesnt run rock moves...and why would you use rock moves vs fighting ;-;).

(I dont want to rewrite this paragraph, but uh you can say like x does y, helps in z matchup, and checks s (if applicable). Plus add Choice Scarf Buzzwole, Choice Scarf Terrakion, Toxicroak for team mates, as they are the usual mons paired with Keld)
Example: Cobalion is an excellent team mate as it can set Stealth Rocks, spread Paralysis to slow down the opposing team, and can check Fairy- and Psychic-types such as Tapu Lele and Latias for Keldeo in a pinch.
