Kerfluffle's strong STAB combination of Fairy and Fighting along with its great offensive stats and access to Parting Shot makes it a compelling option among the tier's many wallbreakers and offensive pivots. Moonblast is Kerfluffle's most reliable and spammable STAB move, and when paired with Focus Blast and Aura Sphere, Kerfluffle can easily bypass opposing bulky Steel-types like Equilibra and Heatran and pose a huge threat to teams that rely on these Pokemon to check Fairy-types. Despite its low-Base Power, Aura Sphere is often convenient in situations where you don't want to risk missing a Focus Blast, though Sludge Bomb can still be useful against certain Fairy-types like Clefable, Jumbao, and Tapu Fini. Parting Shot is great at grabbing momentum and safely bringing in teammates, and it also lowers the power of Future Sight from an incoming Slowking or Galarian Slowking. Heavy-Duty Boots can be run over Choice Specs if you want to avoid entry hazard damage and being Choice locked into moves, though it leaves you unable to muscle past certain walls like Clefable and Tapu Fini. Sets with Heavy-Duty Boots can also run Close Combat over Focus Blast along with a Hasty nature, as this allows you to consistently 2HKO Blissey and Equilibra even with no Attack investment while additionally freeing up your third moveslot to run Taunt or Sludge Bomb.

Despite Kerfluffle's strengths, it can ultimately struggle to break past many common Poison-types, and it finds itself easily revenge killed due its relative lack of OHKO power and being Choice locked into moves. Ground-types like Landorus-T, Equilibra, and Garchomp are generally effective partners for these reasons, as they can threaten many of the Pokemon that wall Kerfluffle's STABs. Equilibra has the added benefit of removing hazards to keep Kerfluffle healthy while setting Doom Desire to deny Pokemon like Tornadus-T, Moltres, and Clefable from safely switching into Kerfluffle's Fighting-type moves. Slowking and Slowbro offer similar support with Future Sight + Teleport, a combination that has truly incredible synergy with Kerfluffle and is the only consistent way it can break past Toxapex. Another great Future Sight setter is Galarian Slowking, though it unfortunately can't use Teleport to always safely bring Kerfluffle in. Spikes support from teammates like Astrolotl and Ferrothorn is great for Kerfluffle, as it can struggle to OHKO opposing Pokemon but is still effective in repeatedly forcing switches; Spikes additionally help Kerfluffle break past its checks in the long run by forcing damage on Pokemon like Galarian Slowking and Toxapex, which would otherwise be able to recover their HP through Regenerator. Slower wallbreakers that appreciate being brought in for free with Parting Shot also tend to have great synergy with Kerfluffle. Miasmaw stands out among them as being particularly effective, as it loves the chance to safely switch into Toxapex, Slowking, and Galarian Slowking to deny them their Regenerator healing and make them much easier for Kerfluffle to eventually break through.

Checks and Counters
====

**Poison-types**: Toxapex and Galarian Slowking are two of the most reliable counters to Kerfluffle. Both of them are able to freely come in on resisted Fairy- and Fighting-type moves, threaten to cripple or outright KO Kerfluffle, and can heal off any damage as they switch out. While generally less viable, other bulky Poison-types such as Amoonguss and Mollux are good checks as well.

**Other Pokemon with Regenerator**: Slowking in particular is a great switch-in, because it does not fear any of Kerfluffle's moves and gets a valuable opportunity to use Future Sight or Teleport. Tornadus-T can switch into Kerfluffle and immediately force it out; however, it still takes heavy damage from Moonblast, so it can't switch in unless it's kept healthy. Astrolotl can switch in and scout Choice Specs Kerfluffle and then pivot to an appropriate answer, but it must be at high health to do so.

**Aegislash**: Aegislash is immune to Kerfluffle's strongest STAB move in Focus Blast and can switch into Moonblasts with relative ease as well, though it's still prone to getting worn down due to its lack of reliable recovery options and susceptibility to entry hazards.

**Moltres**: Moltres has little to fear from Kerfluffle's Moonblast, and while Focus Blast and Sludge Bomb can deal respectable damage, Moltres still remains a solid switch-in due to its bulk and access to reliable recovery. Be wary of getting poisoned by Sludge Bomb, though, as there's a small chance Kerfluffle can 2HKO a poisoned Moltres.

**Faster Offensive Threats**: Pokemon that are faster and capable of KOing Kerfluffle such as Choice Scarf Jumbao, Choice Scarf Kartana, and Tornadus-T are all potent offensive checks. Even Pokemon like Dragapult and Spectrier can threaten to KO Kerfluffle with prior chip damage. Finally, Rillaboom's Grassy Glide and Cawmodore's Bullet Punch are two forms of strong priority that can revenge kill weakened Kerfluffle.

After doing some calcs, I'm convinced that the consistency of Aura Sphere is great to have alongside Focus Blast most of the time. If you chip down the opposing team, you can start to rely on Aura Sphere rather than Focus Blast, which is great when you need to hit a Steel-type with a move that's not Moonblast twice in a row on the switch-in. Specs Moonblast does enough to Clefable; though that could change if Clefable starts to really invest in Special Defense. I'd still leave Sludge Bomb slashed, though.

When you reorder the moves in the set, you should also be sure to reorder the moves in the description as well to follow the order, so Moonblast -> Focus Blast -> Aura Sphere -> Sludge Bomb (as an alternative) -> Parting Shot.

However, being a potent wallbreaker isn't Kerfluffle's only strengthParting Shot lets Kerfluffle act as a highly effective pivot due to the lack of immunities or contact-based punishments that other pivoting moves have, so Kerfluffle can freely use it to grab momentum and safely bring in its teammates.

This text isn't necessary because it's just explaining what Parting Shot does. Instead, add how Parting Shot lowers the power of Future Sight (which means the Slowkings actually care about Parting Shot).

If you value Kerfluffle's longevity and pivoting abilities over its damage output, then Running Heavy Duty Boots instead of Choice Specs is a viable option as well; avoiding all entry hazard damage is a huge boon for Kerfluffle, along with avoiding the drawback of being choice-locked into your moves. Additionally, sets that run Boots can use a Hasty nature with Close Combat instead of Focus Blast, as Close Combat will never miss and has much better damage output against Blissey. These benefits still come at a substantial cost to Kerfluffle's wallbreaking potential though, so choose between these two sets carefully when you use Kerfluffle on your team.

I feel like this is a lot of words for the Boots set, which has really fallen off recently. I'd rather see one sentence on boots saying that it's the best item if you don't like Choice lock but it comes at a significant decrease in power, especially against Fairy-types like Clef and Fini. Then, go over the options Boots has in max two sentences. What you have isn't wrong, but it's just over-explaining a set that's not that great right now.

Equilibra is another Ground-type that has the added value of removing hazards to keep Kerfluffle healthy and setting Doom Desire to back up Kerfluffle's strong Fighting-type STAB.

Mention which checks Kerf can break past with Doom Desire (...back up Kerfluffle's strong Fighting-type STAB against Clefable, other examples.).

Slowking and Slowbro offer similar support with Future Sight, a move that has truly incredible synergy with Kerfluffle and can make it nearly impossible to switch into.

Mention Teleport to get Kerf in safely also. Also explicitly mention that Future Sight is how Kerf bypasses Toxapex. If Slowking-G is a good Kerf partner (99% sure it is but correct me if I'm wrong) then also mention it.

Spikes support from teammates like Astrolotl and Ferrothorn is great for Kerfluffle as well, as Kerfluffle can struggle to OHKO opposing Pokemon but is still effective in repeatedly forcing switches to rack up Spikes damage.

I'd explicitly mention forcing damage on Slowking-G here.

Kerfluffle's teammates, especially slower wallbreakers, also greatly appreciate being brought in for free with Parting Shot. Parting Shot can additionally allow teammates to take hits that they otherwise might have been unable to stomach, making Kerfluffle a surprisingly effective team support option at times.

Rather than explaining what Parting Shot does here (this explanation should go into the set details section if at all), I'd rather see examples of which slower wallbreakers are good options. If you don't put Miasmaw in this section, explicitly mention it elsewhere given how its mere presence just shreds common defensive answers to Kerf.

and can heal off any damage with their ability Regenerator as they switch out.

just an example of how to cut on fluff language - assume someone reading this knows Toxapex and Slowking-G run Regenerator and know what Regenerator does :)

Tornadus-T can switch into Kerfluffle and immediately force it out, however, Tornadus still takes heavy damage from Moonblast so it can't switch in unless it's very healthy. If Kerfluffle is choice-locked, Astrolotl can switch in and scout what move it used, letting you then pivot into the appropriate answer; though, like Tornadus-T, Astrolotl can only do this if it's close to full health.

I feel like a better way to summarize this is just to say that Torn and Astro can scout Kerf's moves if they're healthy - I don't see a need to go over them individually with the information presented as is.

Excellent start - I want to see how it looks after all these changes though so going to hold my checkoff until you implement them. Ping me on discord when you're finished or with any questions :)

when paired with Focus Blast or and Aura Sphere

change "or" to "and" - as is, it sounds like it's Focus Blast / Aura Sphere on the set, which it is most certainly not.

Aura Sphere is often convenient in situations where you don't want to risk missing multiple Focus Blasts in a row a Focus Blast, though Sludge Bomb can still be useful against certain Fairy-types or Grass-types like Clefable and Jumbao.

quick edits

Final remarks: I've recently learned that it's "Galarian Slowking," so fix all mentions of that Pokemon. Also, it's Tapu Fini (not hyphenated).

Good stuff man, QC 1/2 for ya

Heavy Duty Boots can be run over Choice Specs if you want to avoid hazard damage and being choice-locked into moves, though it leaves you unable to muscle past certain walls like Clefable and Tapu Fini. (Make a note of Bullet Punch from Cawmodore here too.)
