Welcome to the Kingdom of the Lions, wanderer. Please allow me to thank you for having taken the time to visit my palace. Take a seat, and enjoy your stay, as I strive to present to you pieces of art that will be worth your while.
In this thread, you may find drawings and poems. I had been wanting to return to making art for a long while – had not drawn nor written anything in well over a decade – but I kept finding excuses to not let the creativity flow.
Thankfully, the pinnacle of my motivation coincided with the start of Smeargle's Inktober 2024, encouraging me to doodle a Pokémon every day, and request advices and feedback on my technique. I do want to draw characters from other universes in the future, and even get into digital drawing, but I shall welcome the opportunity to practice a bit.
My doodles are – like the ones from my childhood – inspired from the in-game sprites from the 2D generations of Pokémon, my favorite. Without further ado, permit that I display the first 7 of the lot, after a week of this event.

As per table above, small improvements on light/shadows and the general atmosphere of each doodle can be noticed. I would like to renew my thanks to Ciran for having provided some wise advices in this regard, as I hope to further improve my skills. I will post a new Inktober update in a week, to present the drawings of days 8-14.
And, since this thread mentions poetry, it would not be correct to leave without showing at least one, the first that I wrote in over a decade, and my first ever poem written in English at that. It was written on May 29 of this year and its title is Flower.

I have since then written more poems that I like enough to display here, but I will stick to one for the time being,
Thank you, citizens of the kingdom of the lions, for your attention and for checking out my art. I am naturally always receptive to critique and advices, be it on the drawings or the poems, and I do not exclude taking requests in the future, so please feel free to reach out or post in my thread to share anything you'd like.
Have a nice day!
