Kingdra (ChestoRest)

I added some commentary on Kingdra beating status users such as WoW rotom. I'm not convinced I added it as smoothly as possible, so if anyone has a better idea to rearrange that little bit of 2 sentences, they can feel free to suggest ideas.

I am editing because I see superfluous vocabulary and wrong Pokemon-typing format. One instance where I had to rewrite a sentence. The two sentences you have implemented seem fine in context.

And I sincerely apologize, Great Sage.

With excellent dual STABS STAB coverage in the moves Waterfall and Outrage, coupled with Dragon Dance, Kingdra becomes a top threat capable of sweeping unprepared teams. In addition, Kingdra's excellent typing, along with its deceptively bulky stat dispersal, allows it to take strong special Special hits and use Dragon Dance with a comfortable amount of HP health remaining. Because of this Kingdra’s ability to exploit multiple Dragon Dances then restoring itself to full health (with the combination of Rest and Chesto Berry), usual counters such as Starmie and Suicune find themselves hard pressed to defeat it. Kingdra's would-be counters, such as Suicune or Starmie, who both hope to bait Outrage now find themselves unable to stop Kingdra from grabbing two or three Dragon Dances while it is able to Rest and restore itself to full health thanks to Chesto Berry. (Rewriting because of some prose) Also, status As for status users such as Will-o-wisp Rotom-A, they will usually cripple and beat Kingdra with the help of burn damage and Kingdra’s halved Attack. Chesto Berry will not cure anything but Kingdra's Sleep, so many Pokemon will believe that they have 'beaten' Kingdra while it desperately uses Dragon Dance. With this in mind, Kingdra can continue to use Dragon Dance and Rest off damage, while then defeat the opposing status user at perfect health. With its boosted Waterfall, Kingdra is often able to beat many Pokemon without locking itself into Outrage and becomes very difficult to stop if the opponent no longer has a physically-defensive wall such as Skarmory or Forretress.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

This Kingdra's EV spread is designed to take Special Attacks with greater ease, all the while maintaining respectable attacking power and an efficient Speed stat. Specifically, Kingdra's special bulk is aimed towards surviving at least two attacks from both Life Orb Starmie and +1 Suicune allowing it to Dragon Dance without the fear of a 2HKO. A minimum of 164 Speed EVs should be used to outpace Choice Scarf Flygon after two Dragon Dances. While the idea of this set is to abuse Dragon Dance without the worry of status moves and bulky Water-types thanks to Chesto Berry, Lum Berry is an acceptable substitute alternative (personal preference because of the fact that there’s already a move with the name “Substitute”). With Lum Berry, Kingdra can cure itself of confusion if it is forced to Outrage before it is able to Rest. However, Lum Berry makes the set prone to status users that Kingdra would otherwise have little difficulty setting up against. (period)

Because the crux of this set is to set up on opposing bulky Water-types and status users, strong Fire-type attackers like Heatran and Infernape make excellent partners to this set (redundant). In addition, sweepers such as Tyranitar (Tyranitar is hardly classified as a “sweeper”, but I shall leave it to your judgement) make excellent partners after Kingdra sets up and eliminates the opposing Bulky Water-types. Because Kingdra's only weakness is the Dragon-type, Steel-types are able to switch in and resist the opponent’s attempts to revenge-kill Kingdra, which makes Heatran, Jirachi, Scizor, and Metagross ideal. Instead of bulky Water-types which are Kingdra's usual concerns, this Kingdra's is hindered by strong physically defensive Pokemon. Particularly, Kingdra almost always finds itself unable to beat those similar to Skarmory, Swampert and Metagross, so Pokemon like Heatran teammates that can either lure or counter those them are ideal.

EDIT: K, I guess since Rising Dusk GP checked this...

Do whatever you want...

I decided to give a go at GPing the original post. There were some things about the above check that I disagreed with, so it was decided to not factor it into this check. I reworded a lot of things that will improve the quality of writing and the readability of the set.

Cheers.
