Klinklang @ Electrium Z
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 104 HP / 216 Atk / 188 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Shift Gear
- Gear Grind
- Wild Charge
- Substitute
Klinklang is one of NU's most notorious setup sweepers out there; it capitalizes on recent drops like Diancie and Gigalith and overall viable Pokemon in NU such as Sneasel and Vanilluxe, as it is able to set up against these Pokemon and force them out immediately with the threat of a strong STAB attack. Shift Gear is what makes Klinklang such a monstrous threat in battle; the move increases its Speed by two stages, letting it outspeed the entire tier, and also boosts its Attack by one stage. Wild Charge in tandem with Electrium Z enables Klinklang to break past traditional checks like Slowbro. While Klinklang doesn't have a large amount of checks after using Shift Gear, checks like Steelix, Palossand, and Rotom are rather common, so checks to these Pokemon are advised. Water-types such as Slowbro and Blastoise make for good teammates, effectively dealing with Steelix and Palossand. In addition, Dark- and Ice-types like Incineroar, Guzzlord, and Vanilluxe can handle Slowbro, Palossand, and Rotom with efficiency.
