This Kommo-o set revolves around being an ideal suicide lead with Stealth Rock and Taunt coverage to boot, the reason why this is a special set is due to the lack of special attackers that one would ideally not run in a fighting team. Flash Cannon is used as an anti fairy tool against specific fairy leads like Hatterene or Alolan Ninetails, hopefully being able to kill them within the current turn or within the next turn. Clanging Scales is used as solid chip damage towards a variety of neutral leads being able to easily put them within knockout range the next turn or outright knocking them out this turn. Alternatively one could run Aura Sphere for a special fighting STAB towards common steel and normal leads like Snorlax or Coballion. Taunt is used to shut down opposing leads that are slower than Kommo-o such as Ferrothorn or Grimmsnarl, it can also catch any pokemon that may attempt to set up on it such as swords dance Aegislash.
The Kommo-o set pairs well with a priority revenge killer that may capitalize on Kommo-o dealing damage with Flash Cannon or Clanging Scales/Aurasphere, prime examples of this include Life Orb Lucario, Toxicroak, Guts Conkeldurr. In addition, it is best run when a fighting team isnt looking to implement Coballion. Due to it having sash, which may be disrupted when not being used as a lead due to the lack of hazard removal options for Fighting. Moreover, this set can catch Lead Alolan Ninetails by suprise, being able to knock it out in one hit despite Aurora Veil being used for Alolan Ninetails. In conclusion, you should run this set if you are looking to have much more offensive power in a lead instead of Lead Coballion, which is a much more passive rocks setter.
