The king of SV Ubers has found new tools, ditching its scarf for a glowing purple orb! Koraidon finds itself adapting to new threats in the tier with the combination of Swords Dance and a Life Orb, allowing it to act as a fierce wallbreaker with its Close Combat and sun-boosted Flare Blitz, which can OHKO defensive Arceus-Fairy. Scale Shot allows Koraidon to boost its Speed and deal damage to Ho-Oh, which can take its other moves, with Tera Fire providing it a boost to Flare Blitz's damage and an immunity to burn all while allowing Koraidon to use Ho-Oh as a free setup opportunity. Life Orb Koraidon finds itself on almost all offensive team structures, pairing well with threats such as Extreme Killer Arceus, Calm Mind Lunala, and Zacian-C, all of which work in tandem to break through its defensive checks such as Arceus-Fairy and Ho-Oh. These partners also help deal with the bulkier Dragon-types in Giratina-O and Eternatus, which can be troublesome for this set due to Scale Shot's unreliability. It can also be seen alongside Choice Scarf Ditto or Landorus-T, both of which provide its teams with speed control, which would normally be provided by Choice Scarf Koraidon.
