Introduction:
Before I made this team, I had originally had a "Groudon and Excadrill" combo. It didn't work that well since I found Excadrill getting walled by even the weakest walls in ubers. After many, many losses, I had remembered the success of my Drizzle team in OU, and how I had adored Thundurus-T. Immediately, I had made made a team like it, but only with Thundurus-T and Forretress. For some reason drizzle teams are the only kind of teams that actually work for me when I make them. I had noticed with most drizzle teams, they literally spam 4 water types, only with Dragonite and Gastrodon for type "coverage". When I make teams, I design specific roles to each pokemon, enabling them to come in on a switch easily and get offensive momentum going. For Example: Kygore is here, obviously to set up rain, but it is also here to wall pokemon like Blaziken or Excadrill, and maybe even giratina or Lugia. Another example would be Darkrai: Darkrai's main purpose is to screw up the other pokemon as much as possible, but I'll get into that when I get to Darkrai.
Testing this team on PS, I had lost a few times; either by hax or just by me being stupid, I had sometimes felt this team needed more to it. However, to my surprise, I had also found myself getting a little more success over my OU Drizzle team. I didn't have trouble with most of the pokemon I have trouble with. Most of the time, I just have to make a strategy in the team preview before the battle starts, and hopefully that strategy will work. The only pokemon I have some trouble with are Giratina and Giratina-O just because of how bulky they are.
Team Building Process:

Kyogre is obviously here to set up rain, but there is more to it than just "setting up rain". Kyogre can do lots of work done with Rest + Sleep Talk. Even though I had just given away what the set is, it isn't just a Rest + Sleep Talk set. For one thing, it has Lum Berry instead of Chesto Berry. I chose Lum berry for lots of different reasons, but I'll get to that when I get to Kyogre.

Adding to the "Partner gimmick" I usually base my teams around, I picked Thundurus-T again as the "partner" for Kygore. Not only is Thundurus-T an excellent sweeper in OU and in Ubers, it also has a variety of moves and sets to choose from. Thundurus-T is also extremely hard to counter if the opponent doesn't have a scarfed pokemon; with base 101 speed, Thundurus-T can out speed most pokemon even in ubers, and go for a Thunder under the rain. Added to the fact, Thundurus-T has an astounding base 145 base Special Attack. With a STAB Thunder and with Max Special Attack, Thundurus-T becomes the perfect Special Sweeper on this team.

Oh Arceus-Steel, how you have always caught many players off guard. With your steel typing and under the rain, The only really attack they'll be able to hit you with is Fighting. Oh, how lucky of you, Arceus-Steel. With Swords Dance and Iron Head, you can become an excellent Sweeper in the Rain. To top it all off, there aren't even many fighting types in Ubers, too. Only one, which can be countered by Kyogre... Alright, even of me praising Arceus-Steel, but you have to admit, he is pretty good. He can demolish teams that aren't ready for it, and its steel typing gives it great bulk, as well. I wanted to choose Arceus, but I couldn't decide whether to choose Arceus-Electric, or Arceus-Water. Seeing that I have both an electric type and a water type, I tried to go for Arceus-Normal, and I had really liked it with Leftovers, but I had soon later changed it to Arceus-Steel just because it is a lot greater than all of those other choices in my opinion. Arceus-Steel and Thundurus-T are my favorite pokemon on this team just because of how well they work together.

Seeing how many walls like Giratina and Lugia are extremely hard to counter in some cases, I figured to have Darkrai on here to stop walls from making me rage quit so hard I forget about this team all together, only to start a new one; and believe me, I have done that many times with the teams I have made. Anyway, Darkrai is not only here for that reason. He can create dents in some teams with Trick and Dark Void. Darkrai could have an extremely hard to counter threat asleep, while also having a wall like Giratina choice locked into Dragon Tail. After Darkrai's "role" is done, Darkrai can create dents in Lugia or Giratina before it faints. Darkrai is also one of those pokemon in my team to have a specific role just to counter specific things. Before I had darkrai, I had Deoxys-A, with Thunder, ExtremeSpeed, Ice Beam, and Superpower. Deoxys-A, once again, got walled by Giratina quite a bit too. Giratina would survive a hit, only to Dragon Tail and KO Deoxys-A, and then going for a rest on the next turn. Darkrai on the other hand, can simply shut down Giratina.

Kabutops, while not really being as threatening as Arceus-S or Thundurus-T, he can still do a great chunk of damage with Life orb and Adamant Nature. I also was surprised by the fact that Kabutops out speeds a few things in Ubers too, thanks to its ability: Swift Swim. Kabutops can be very effective if used properly, and can leave a huge dent in Darkrai or Groudon. There isn't really much to say here, though. Kabutops' role is to simply be a glass canon. Its job is just to hit hard, and hit fast. That's simply it for Kabutops. Having Kabutops on this team bores me a little. I never really liked Kabutops, not because of how it looks, or its typing, but simply because that Kabutops is very hard to pull off properly. It gets walled by so many things that it is extremely hard to use properly because of this. Kabutops also is very frail, on the Specially Defensive side, too. That being said, Kabutops is not a bad pokemon on this team, but it is just a very difficult pokemon to pull off because of all its flaws. Kabutops also introduces another Fighting weakness with I hate very much. Most matches I play, Kabutops almost never even sees the field, as it is stuck inside the pokeball, wondering when it will come out. Even Forretress gets more use than Kabutops. That's just sad.

After I had 5 pokemon, and only one slot left, I became to wonder which pokemon I should include in my team. Zekrom? Lugia? Giratina? Then looking back at this team, I had forgotten one thing: A spinner who can also setup entry hazards. Forretress was the perfect solution to this problem, as it can simply set up Stealth Rock and Volt Switch or set up even more entry hazards. However, since Forretress' job on this team is simply just to do that, it gets very little use, just like Kabutops, but for a different reason. I would much rather have a pokemon that can take advantage of Drizzle, but without Rapid Spin, I sometimes have a hard time using this team. I could as Starmie for Rapid Spin and to take advantage of the weather, but then I would have to have Kabutops have stealth rock just to break Multiscale on Lugia or something like that.

Still, I needed a better pokemon who could get the job done, while also being very reliable. Latios also takes care of Palkia, Rayquaza, Dialga, Giratina, and other defensive threats this team might have. Originally, I had a Kyurem-W, but Kyurem-W was just too slow for ubers. It got outspeed by rayquaza, and it still didn't help anything with its fighting weakness. Latios was the perfect solution to the problem. It shuts down walls, and it takes away the fighting weakness that I was a little worried about. Now, I won't have any trouble with Blaziken. Even though I never really had any trouble with it, I had still needed something better than kyogre to soak up the hits.
Under A Microscope:
~The Weather Starter and Wall~

Kyogre @ Lum Berry
Trait: Drizzle
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Relaxed Nature
- Scald
- Thunder
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
Kyogre's role is to set up rain, obviously, but it also becomes great wall on both the Defensive and the Specially Defensive end. Even though Kyogre is Defensive, Scald with STAB and under the rain enables it deal a decent chunk to some pokemon. Scald also has a high 30% chance to burn, which is very nice considering it is Kyogre's only way of stalling. Alternately, Kyogre's other method of attacking is Thunder. Thunder can paralyze, but it doesn't have the same percentage of paralyzing than Scald does with burning. For the last two moves, Rest and Sleep Talk, they can be extremely useful in preserving Kyogre too. Rest makes Kyogre fall asleep and makes Kyogre's health get back up to full, but with Lum Berry, I can immediately wake up, just like what Lum Berry does. However, Lum Berry also takes away Burn, Toxic, or paralysis. With Lum Berry, I won't be forced to go for rest when its HP gets too low. Since Kyogre will be the lead of the time, it can take on Darkrai easily because of this. Lum Berry wakes it up, going for a Scald KOing the Darkrai, or if it has Focus Sash it will survive with 1 HP, but hopefully Scald burns and KOs, if not, I go for a Sleep Talk hoping for Scald or Thunder, leaving me with a full health Kyogre, and one less pokemon to worry about. Also, Kyogre takes on many threats like Blaziken or Arceus with since Kyogre has max Defense, as long as the Arceus hasn't set up a few Swords Dances. Alternatively, I could run a Choice Specs set with Kyogre, but I would much rather have the extra bulk, not because of preserving the weather, but because of how annoying Kyogre can get sometimes. Kyogre is just simply a great lead since it can counter lots of pokemon who are usually lead with, and that is why I chose a more bulky set than a more offensive set. I even have enough powerhouses, anyway. I don't think the extra power will be necessary.
~The Special Attacking Sweeper~

Thundurus-Therian (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature
- Thunder
- Volt Switch
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Ice]
Speaking of the whole "partner" and "role" gimmick, Thundurus-T is the partner to Kyogre, just like Kyogre is a partner to Thundurus-T in a way. Thundurus-T's massive attack and Speed make it the ideal special sweeper on this team. The move set is pretty unique, too. After I tested out Thundurus-T in OU, I love it. It was so good. I tried it here in Ubers, and It's still great. The set is different, but it is still a very great sweeper to have. First off, Thundurus-T's huge base 145 Special Attack and excellent base 101 Speed, Thundurus-T can perform sweeps in almost an instant. With Choice Scarf, Thundurus-T doesn't mind running Modest Nature of Timid, simply because of its speed excellent base speed already. Since Thunder is Thundurus-T's most powerful STAB move, I figured I would use it to its full potential. With a Thunder and Choice Scarf, Thundurus-T can out speed many threats in Ubers. With Volt Switch, Thundurus-T can get offensive momentum going, and Focus Blast just demolishes types that don't resist it. Lastly, Hidden Power Ice is for type coverage with things like Groudon, and other types that Thundurus-T could have trouble with. The reason I chose a Choice Scarf set over an Agility/ Nasty Plot set is because Thundurus-T is really frail. By the time it sets up even one, a neutral hit will make its HP close to nothing. Stealth Rock even makes this issue even worse since Thundurus-T is 4x weak to it. With a Choice Scarf, Thundurus-T can simply out speed many things in Ubers who aren't scarfed and try to KO with a Thunder. That being said, Thundurus-T can be a great pokemon if used properly.
~The Physical Sweeper~

Arceus-Steel @ Iron Plate
Trait: Multitype
EVs: 156 HP / 100 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Iron Head
- Recover
- Substitute
As you might have already known, I love Arceus-S. Its steel typing enables it to be bulky enough to set up, while blocking poison. Since Arceus-S' job is to come in a pokemon who tries to set up, Arceus-S can simply come in, go for a substitute, and block any status move. Since Arceus-S is a Steel type, it gets pretty bulky, too. With only Blaziken as a fighting type in ubers that might give Arceus-S some trouble, and a weakened fire attacking move by the rain as only moves to hit Arceus-S for super effective damage, Arceus-S can become a great sweeper. The only thing that is bad about this is that Iron Head is the only move that can attack. There isn't earthquake on here, as it is replaced with Substitute. Arceus-S wrecks teams who aren't ready for it. With Kyogre as a safe switch in for fire, and with Thundurus-T being able to take fighting attacks surprisingly well, Those don't normally become a problem. So, I'll explain my strategy with Arceus. First, I'll switch in on a pokemon like forretress or ferrothorn. While those pokemon aren't seen that much in ubers, they are still there. On the predicted Stealth Rock, or protect, I'll switch into Arceus-S. I'll go for a substitute on the predicted Leech Seed, switch, or if they just want to set up entry hazards, that is fine also. I'll go for a swords Dance knowing that they cannot break the substitute, and I'll recover up all the damage lost from the Substitute. Now, switching in Arceus-S on to a ferrothorn or ferrotress might be silly since both have great Defense, and ferrothorn has iron barbs, but it does work out. Since Stealth Rock will most likely be up due to the help of forretress, it can OHKO Lugia and other pokemon easily if they try to go for a whirlwind. The only pokemon I can see that can counter this set is Skarmory, but Skarmory is not very common in Ubers at all. Most simply choose Lugia or Ferrothorn for a better wall, but I have used this set with lots of success. Even to pokemon like Dialga and Giratina who resist it, it still does a great chunk of damage, while they go for a roar. I really like this set, though. I have had lots of success with this Arceus-S alone. Not many people expect Arceus-S on a Drizzle team because they'd assume it's an Arceus-W or an Arceus-E. Its steel typing helps out a lot too.
~The Check To Walls And A Hard Hitter~

Latios (M) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Surf
- Trick
- Psyshock
Even in Ubers, I find myself using a Choice item on it, instead of Soul Dew. I mean, just look at this set! It practically counters Palkia, Giratina, Giratina-O, Zekrom, and almost Dialgia. It's just so good. I always had a problem with Zekrom, but now that Latios is on this team, I don't have to worry that much anymore. As you could already tell, Latios just loves to screw up other pokemon. With Trick, Latios can lock Dialgia into dragon tail or roar, making dialga useless. I rarely use a Choice item on any pokemon, and I was very surprised to choose this over Soul Dew, after all, it is legal in Ubers. Latios was the perfect check to almost every threat that I could come up with. With 110 base speed, unlike Kyurem-W's 95 base speed, Latios can out speed Zekrom, Rayquaza, and other threats that would otherwise be a pain. Even without the Choice Specs, Latios can still hit lots of pokemon for a great chunk of damage due to its massive 130 Special Attack. Also, like I mentioned before, Latios' typing is Psychic/Dragon, making it 4x resistant to Fighting type attacks. So, instead of having three pokemon weak to fighting with only kyogre to do anything about it, since forretress can't do anything, Latios also takes some pressure off. Now, I only have 2 pokemon weak to fighting. Even though fighting attacks aren't that common in Ubers, I am still worried about pokemon like Deoxys-A and other pokemon who would go for a superpower, and shut down most of my team since Thundurus-T can't take an Ice Beam. Anyway, I should talk about the moves, right? First off, Draco Meteor is the main STAB move. With base 140 power, and STAB, it can take away a huge chunk from pokemon, even those who resist it. With Choice Specs, it becomes even more powerful. Another option to use is Surf. A Choice Specs Surf in the Rain can do a lot to pokemon even to Groudon, when sun is up. Another option over Surf is Thunder. Thunder can do lots of things like Surf, but it can OHKO most Kyogre. I usually have a hard time choosing over Surf or Thunder, but most of the time I choose Surf. Also, remember when I said this pokemon shuts down walls? Well, trick is the main reason why. Tricking a ferrothorn or a giratina with a choice specs while they are setting up is the most satisfying thing to me. I love making walls like that useless, then going for a Draco Meteor on the predicted switch. Even if it stays in, it will take a lot of damage from Draco Meteor. Lastly, Psyshock is Latios' other main STAB move. When I feel like I need to have Psyschock over Draco Meteor, I'll use it depending on what the situation is. Latios can sometimes become a pretty important pokemon on this team because its role on this team is to shut down threats like Zekrom and Kyurem-W, and stop walls like Giratina or Lugia. That's practically why Latios is here. I just love Latios, just like I love Thundurus-T and Arceus-S
~The Physical Sweeper Who can Take Advantage of Rain~

Kabutops @ Life Orb
Trait: Swift Swim
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Superpower
- Aqua Jet
- Waterfall
- Stone Edge
Well, here's where my praise of my team ends. Here, I have Kabutops. Just talking about Kabutops bores me. To me, he isn't really that interesting. Sure, he can sweep due to Swift Swim, and he has great Attack, but when you get to the end of it, you'll find that Kabutops is just a mediocre pokemon at best. I always find very little use of Kabutops, but I always want a pokemon to take advantage of rain, just like Gyarados could on my OU rain team. Now, you might notice that I am not using that many pokemon who are in the Ubers tier, right? Well, it's not because I don't like Ubers, but because I could have better pokemon to use than those. With Kabutops, he doesn't fit in along any of those lines. He's only here just because I decided to test him with Swift Swim, only to find that he doesn't work that well. Anyway, I'll start off on why I have the moves like this. The First move, Superpower, can do a great chunk of damage to Dialga and other pokemon who don't resist it, such as Arceus. Since it is a rock type, it resists Extremespeed, enabling it to go for a Superpower. However, Aqua Jet is another move that I can use on Kabutops simply because priority is good; right? Anyway, Waterfall is here on Kabutops as its main STAB move. With Adamant Nature, Life Orb, and in the Rain, Kabutops can sweep very well, but for me, that is very rare. For the last move, Stone Edge is the other STAB move Kabutops can use, but I'll use Waterfall over Stone Edge for obvious reasons. First off, Stone Edge hits Kyogre and Lugia very hard. Stone Edge even has a high critical hit ratio, too. However, it also just loves to miss when I need it the most. This is another reason why I dislike Kabutops. It's just so hard to pull off most of the time, that is just becomes in the back of my team, watching the whole battle. Out of the 10 battles I played on Pokemon Showdown, only twice have I actually had to use Kabutops. Nonetheless, Kabutops can be a very good pokemon if it is used properly.
~The Entry Hazards Set Up And Rapid Spinner~

Forretress @ Red Card
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Impish Nature
IVs: 0 Spd
- Stealth Rock
- Spikes
- Rapid Spin
- Volt Switch
Well, here's the last pokemon on this team, Forretress. Forretress can actualy become pretty useful in most cases. First off, with Red Card, it can stop pokemon like Arceus who have set up with Swords Dance all the way up to +6, and go from there. The only reason why Forretress is here is just because I needed a good pokemon to set up Stealth Rock, maybe Spikes, and Rapid Spin. Once Forretress has set up Stealth Rock and Spikes, its job is to simply become a "suicide" pokemon if you want to call it that. If I see a very huge threat that has already set up, I'll go into forretress and bait the opponent to set up even more, while I set up entry hazards. Once they have set up, I'll predict an attack, and when they do attack Forretress, Red Card will kick in, and it will random send out a pokemon from the opponent's party. Then, I'll go for a Volt Switch, and get some offensive momentum going. Again, just like Kabutops, talking about Forretress really bores me a lot. There also isn't really much to talk about, either. Forretress' job is done. Forretress can't wall anything, since it can only attack with Rapid Spin, which does less damage than splash since Forretress is such a terrible pokemon on the offensive end. The only thing Forretress can really do is Volt Switch, and even then, it can't really do anything. I've basically ran out of things to talk about. So, without further ado...
Closing Thoughts:
... Let's talk about my thoughts on this team! I have really grown to love Drizzle teams, from my first team in OU, which was not really a Drizzle team to start with, but a shedinja based team, which revolved around it, and then, that team made me love Thundurus-T, and made me put it on every team with Drizzle on it. This team I have used has made me win lots of matches. When I had played 5 matches on Pokemon showdown, out of those 5, I had only lost 3 times. Then I had tweaked it a bit, and then only one time I had lost. I really like this team, but I don't really know if there are any other pokemon that I can change other than Kabutops. Anyway, Thanks for the rate! :)
