ADV LC predicts, should have done it last week but better late than never.
ADV: Alder ST v. TRowePrice667 (51:49)
I had to think about this matchup while at work, and not gonna lie it's much closer than I expected. Alder is clearly ahead of TRowe(and Gawain) in the meta from building and playing experience. Yet TRowe has some factors that make it very close. Besides being better fundamentally wise, his playstyle can kind of counteract Alder's team structure/playstyle. Alder as a team builder tends to be flexible, but it's usually in the sense of honesty and therefore kinda lacks oppressing wincon/flowcharts. TRowe decided to build teams that disrupt the consistency and try to gain an advantageous state where it's super difficult for the opponent to gain momentum back. And no I'm not talking about Zap Cannon or fishing para stuff, but how he decides the plays are deadly, even if he can be kinda brainfarting because he will have these "I'll click this because it's super epic good with little drawbacks" type of vibes. Regardless, if Alder can take into account that, perhaps bring cheesy shit like he tried to do against me with Confuse Ray I think Alder ST has the secured win. Otherwise, the match is going to be an ugly one to watch.
ADV: Evakiyama! v. Uppa (45:55)
I've been liking how Evakiyama has been playing atm, and with support from Hsowa assumingly(who was my manager at LPL therefore they've the resources from me + can get some idea of how the meta plays) makes me believe they'll have a very strong time vs most players. But here comes my bias and I think Uppa is still taking this one if she is still as good as the last time I fought against her. To make it simple, I think she's ranging from 2-5th if I could judge her skill level. A good amount of the ideas that I built up to today came from her stuff, sets such as Roar Snubbull, and some sun structures. The games I played vs her have also gone forward and back, as she has a solid understanding of how the tier flows. I still think she lacks experience in the current gen as I haven't seen her that much since early autumn, so you can argue that Evakiyama is a bit ahead of her. But if Uppa understands how the meta is atm, I am pretty sure she will cook something that Evaki won't expect. Excited to see more of Evaki and see Uppa get to play ADV LC in a tournament setting.
ADV: ElectricityCat v. SpoiledBerries (70:30)
Ecat having Reggg + Kaboom support compared to SpoiledBerries + Cawil(Summer Islands) feels more than one-sided. I don't know if Cawil helps since he is probably benched/focused on other tiers since it's been over 6 months since he touched the tier. But like even if so, this is just very skewed as a matchup. Ecat could have won w1 if it wasn't for some unfortunate moments, while SpoiledBerries made some plays that do question me a bit, specifically in the late game since it felt like she just hasn't been in those interactions enough. I don't think Ecat is losing this one, but I do want to be proven wrong though ;)
Not sure how it feels like when I'm facing Naere rn, because I would prefer if it were much later considering it's 1st vs 2nd seed this early lmao. Well, it's still intense since we are 2-2 score atm, so I'm looking forward to win >:)
I'll post the scheduled time later this week. Friday 5 pm gmt+0! Rescheduled to Saturday 1pm gmt+1
