SPOILERS! Legends ZA Data Dumps - Adding Info to OP

With Korrina's insane get up it would make some sense if she changed her Mega up in certain circumstances, so I could see her use Mega Raichu [the other one] in a battle but still otherwise stick with one of the Lucarios

Since she seems to be helping out in boss battles, the ideal to me would be she brings whoever is best suited for it.
I can see her pulling a 6 Mega Team with an unlimited Mega Gauge

I also saw this as an interesting take:

My bonus scenario is for Trevor to have the other Raichu.

I have a strong feeling that we're not getting anyone other than Korrina.
Honestly not even sure if we'll get a new character unless they reveal them alongside the next information drop.
I mean unlike G-Max and Original Megas all new Megas in ZA (bar Kalos Starters) were either seen as Rogues or used by important NPC.
We know many of New Megas as Boss Battles but it's around half. The other might be used by some important trainers. Especially since we are missing Psychic, Grass, Ice, Rock and Flying Specialists in base game.
Main problem might be withe the Flying one unless some new Mega gets Flying typing (since Startaport is a Boss Battle) as we don't have more new Flying Megas.
We have Scovillain for Grass, Crabominable/Baxcalibur (less possible since it's Stone online reward) for Ice, Chimecho for Psychic, Glimmora for Rock, Golisopod for Bug.
I have a feeling Mimi goes rogue, evolves hence the Meowstic boss battle.
Tatsugiri is also a Boss battle.
I can personally see Golurk getting the Flying type when mega evolving, Maybe Ground/Flying since it's a solid typing and we saw Golurk flying.
We saw Golurk used by some trainer in the 1st Trailer so there's a chance that trainer Mega Evolves it and he is somehow important.

Interestingly, Magearna is not a boss fight so it might be a gift Pokemon or used by some trainer (or both). Or it's stone will be a special distribution like Diance and Mewtwo since those were not Rogue Mega Battles (sadly, especially with Mewtwo having 2 Mega forms)...

It's also possible that some of the base game characters who didn't get fights will get ones with the new Megas but it doesn't seem like there's a plethora of options. I would guess at Mable just using Mega Houndoom like in that one DLC image leak I posted earlier that may or may not be real, and who knows maybe they BS a phantom/alternate dimension AZ fight where he uses Golurk.

I've seen people saying Jett's shoes kinda look like Garchomp and therefore she'll be the Garchomp Z user but that seems like a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge stretch to me

The real beastmode route for this DLC would've been bringing back not just Calem/Serena but ALL the XY friends and having them partner up with Team MZ, ending the Kalos story with a final climactic alliance of the old and new heroes. Unfortunately I know for a matter of fact this will not happen because Crawdaunt (Tierno's ace) is missing in the returning Pokemon list

So since we know Staraptor is the first Boss battle I have a gut feeling that's the fight during which Korring either gives us Raichu and 1 of it's stones to choose (Similar to Crown Tundra/Isle of Armor choices) or just the stone since we already most likely have at least a PIkachu from one of the side quests.

That would also indicate, based on prior instances, that Korrina would use the other Mega Raichu.
I hadn't really considered that the list of rogue battles might be loosely in story order (up to groups like in the main campaign), but if it is that doesn't bode well for getting much use of Mega Zeraora, who is last on the list after the weather trio. At least Darkrai and Heatran are in the middle of the list.

Since Tatsugiri is second in the list and the main campaign liked groups of 3, maybe we'll have to fight all 3 megas forms individually as one round, which could point to them getting different typings (surely, surely GameFreak would not make them all water/dragon if we have to fight all 3 forms separately). But maybe we just have to fight one of the forms and the other two forms are just supposed to be a surprise for anyone who has not been paying attention to datamines and wonders "what if I put the mega stone for curly tatsugiri onto droopy or stretchy??". Nevermind that before this hypothetical person has a chance to do so they'll get spoiled by a content creator making separate YouTube shorts for each form.

Same can be said for Meowstick. It all comes down to if each Mega Tatsugiri Has an unique design.
If not we can get the Pyroar treatment with US seeing the male one getting Mega in story and checking the female on our own.

I personally see us fighting rogues in 2+1 formula this time.
Maybe one with Taunie/Urbain and Korrina (and maybe Ancha) while other with Lida, Naveen and Emma?

Rayquaza might be fought after both Groudon and Kyogre. Meowstick after Tatsugiri and Staraptor.

Heatran/Darkrai might just be a pair (Zeraora would fit here greatly).

Per Zeraora, I can see it being a roaming one which you can random encounter at any point after a certain part of the story.

Meowstic only has one stub, Tatsugiri has 3, so presumably the Meowstic is just one "merged" design but the Tatsugiris retain some of their distinct elements.
It's why my dondozo joke wasn't that much of a joke, I think it'll be a partial recreation of the Titan fight. I think they're retaining the Commander gimmick which probably designers felt they needed to carry through to their megas.
It's probably the mega I most want to see not from a design perspective but from a gameplay perspective.

My original guess for Mega Meowstic was that it was more story related than the others, where the one we fight is Mimi after it evolves and goes rogue. However, the fact that Mimi plays a part in the Diancie quest suggests this won't happen, unless finishing that quest is part of the post-game prerequisite, which would be weird for a mythical sidequest. So unless we see some hyperspace clones of known characters, I guess it will just be a new Meowstic.

As for the tatsugiri, I hope that the megas have their own non-commander thing going on in Champions/gen 10. For the rogue battle, though, I could definitely see some kind of special set-up involving Dondozo. Maybe all three hop in Dondozo's mouth at once and it looks like a bad Ghidora cosplay or something. Presumably this would be some kind of set up like the Starmobiles, since Dondozo doesn't get any new forms and it would be boring if Tatsugiri megas only to be swallowed by Dondozo and not visible.

It's an intersting take.

Unless they just edit Mimo for this cutscene depending if it's evolved or not yet.

Also Taunie and Urbain have a Meowstic, it's not as important in their Team (like behind both Starters and Manectric but ahead of Goodra and especially Avalug which is dropped for the Infinite Royale 15th fight) but still...
