i hope it gets some crazy ability that makes the loss of the ground typing worth it. idk man, it feels sad to have my favourite get another go and for them to seemingly fumble it so much that it doesn't even get properly implemented into the game
I don't know why but I unironically love the fact it loses a type. Something about that one specific choice just gives it so much more aura. I don't even need my Ground type to beat your ass type beat
The only other Mega to lose a type and become single type is Aggron, who becomes Pure Steel with Filter, so I wonder if its to balance out what they gave it as an ability + make it kinda unique
Mega Aggron also plays very differently from base Aggron whose more offense oriented with Rock Head Smash/Heavy Metal Slam.
If Chomp-z loses a type it shouldve been pure ground as STAB ground is better than dragon + electric immune
I mean it seems fully implemented to me they just wanted it to be a post-release event.

Which is funny since Zeraora is, judging from the listing on Serebii, literally an EX Mission and it requires beating the other 2 EX Missions first. Which were both post-release events. But the Zeraora one isnt.
Anyway my read on Garchomp Z is they wanted to make a super fast dragon type that spams draco meteor. Classic "Gen 5 meta terror". But also didn't want it to be able to spam stab earth powers. Balance, you see.
The Excel spreadsheet doesn't show all the new moves the Pokémon got, so I spent a few days compiling the full list in a PDF format. I also did this with Scarlet & Violet which you can find in their dump thread I think.

Okay, this is a bit late, but, I kinda just fielded Mega Darkrai and used Dark Void twice for a win?
Skimming the video I think a lot of the difficulty here came from being underleveled. I believe I went in with an appropriate donut and had a fairly chill time.

I feel like they've bought URLs for names they haven't used for games before just to squat on the rights.
...this is their own domain, I don't think they need to squat the rights on this one.
If this does turn out to be the gen 10 name, I will forever be annoyed that they went with a singular wave.
I feel like that doesn't prove much, since https://www.pokemon.com/champions/ throws a 404, and that's a game we know is coming.
Some real games will redirect to their actual pages from there (xy, sunmoon) while others won't (champions, anything pre-gen 6, any game with a multiword name except Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon).
