LET'S GET THE KROOK ROLLIN'
Introduction
Sup guys, my name is ScraftyIsTheBest, here with another RMT. Yeah, I know it seems I've been into posting a number of these RMT's at this rate. Well, I can't help it. As both a UU and an RU player, I'll just say that both tiers have achieved such as balance that it's very enjoyable to play the metagame, let alone make teams. Lesser used Pokemon are very viable in the tier, and overall it's just a blast making teams. I always build my teams with at least one underrated Pokemon, because that's what I love doing. Anyways, as you can probably tell by the name of the team, this team is built around Krookodile, a Pokemon who's been sitting in the lower rungs of UU ever since Moxie Heracross came into existence, but is still a really good Pokemon.
This team, like my previous ones, is a mostly offensive team, aiming to get hazards up and building the whole team to be able to get Krookodile into a sweeping condition. This team is built to cover any weaknesses Krookodile has and remove his counters so he can destroy the whole team late game. I also have another underrated threat, Lilligant, which wasn't the centerpiece of the team but I slapped in later, but anyways. This team is one of my favorites, and it is climbing up the ladder quite easily at this rate. Before you get bored, let me get onto the team.
The Team
478Froslass.png
Froslass @ Leftovers
Trait: Cursed Body
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Spikes
- Taunt
- Ice Beam
- Destiny Bond
Froslass is basically the best spiker in the tier and the epitome of offensive teams in UU. Her speed and the ability to spinblock (and take something down with D-Bond) allow her to quickly get up hazards while preventing setup with Taunt. When played right, she can get up at least two, if not three hazards in the match. She can come in on something like Hitmontop and set up Spikes early on in the match, and can spinblock Blastoise, Claydol, and Hitmontop quite handily while stopping SR from Claydol as well as Foresight from Blastoise. Ice Beam is there for a decently powerful STAB move so that Froslass isn't complete Taunt bait, and also to catch incoming Xatu on the switch-in to make sure they are at risk. Destiny Bond is the icing on the cake, so that when Froslass is about to get KO'd (and finished her job), she can handily take down an opponent, giving me the advantage with a Pokemon down, but hazards on the field. If she does get banned from the upcoming suspect test, then Scolipede should be able to replace her.
300px-563Cofagrigus.png
Cofagrigus @ Leftovers
Trait: Mummy
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpA
IVs: 2 Atk / 30 SpA / 30 SpD / 2 Spe
Quiet Nature
- Trick Room
- Nasty Plot
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
As always, a secondary spinblocker is needed since Froslass is never enough. I gotta give credit to Cofagrigus here, I'd call him the best spinblocker in the tier by far. He serves as the spinblocker of course, making sure alongside Froslass that the Spikes that Krookodile loves to pull of those KO's (and Moxie boosts) more easily. He also serves as a great special sweeper, using Trick Room and Nasty Plot to become one hell of a threat, followed by powerful Shadow Balls and HP Fightings that attain perfect coverage in the tier, and the Spikes make opponents go down much more quickly. He gets the opportunities to do this too, since he can come in on the Mienshaos that Krookodile (and Snorlax, of which I will get to later) attracts, then set up Trick Room. He can check a number of threats with his nice physical bulk and typing, which is of great benefit to my team. Overall Cofagrigus serves a really useful role on this team, which is what makes him quite good.
200px-553Krookodile.png
Krookodile @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Moxie
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Crunch
- Stone Edge
- Pursuit
I've always liked Krookodile as a Pokemon since his debut in early BW. He looks pretty damn cool, and he's really useful in-game. He's also pretty good on the competitive scene, being a pretty awesome cleaner with Moxie and good Speed. He's been low in usage since Heracross got Moxie, but he's still really good. While some may call him outclassed, I'd say Krookodile is underrated. His STABs provide him excellent coverage, and with good Speed, Attack, and Moxie, he can just blow down weakened teams. He's also a pretty good revenge killer, as alongside Pursuit he can revenge kill some threats such as Chandelure, Azelf, etc. Once certain Pokemon are removed, I basically can toss Krookodile in and get the sweeping on the road. Earthquake and Crunch are obvious STABs, and Stone Edge allows Krookodile to reasonably handle Togekiss and Crobat, which is quite nice. Pursuit is well, to trap. Overall I really like using Krookodile, despite it facing some competition from other Pokemon such as Heracross (although I wouldn't compare them too much imo).
139px-549Lilligant.png
Lilligant @ Life Orb
Trait: Own Tempo
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Sleep Powder
- Quiver Dance
- Giga Drain
- Hidden Power [Rock]
Well, I always go for underrated stuff, and there's more. I'm not a complete fan of Lilligant, but I decided to try her in UU, since I've heard a couple of positive stuff about her in UU. I originally had Shaymin in this spot, but later I found myself surprisingly disappointed in Shaymin's performance. So I decided to try out Lilligant because I felt using lower UU/RU Pokemon would be cool, since that's what I like doing. I initially did expect some out of her actually, since Lilligant is a scary threat in RU. Simply put, Lilligant is a pretty scary threat, because she has one of the best boosting moves in the entire game, Quiver Dance, and after a few boosts she's pretty damn hard to stop. Sleep Powder only sweetens the deal, since she can basically incapacitate a check, such as Honchkrow or Bisharp, and grab free turns of setup. Giga Drain is pretty strong and also keeps her HP up high, and between the HP Choice, I chose HP Rock because I found Fire-types such as Chandelure and Darmanitan to be far more relevant than Steels (tbh Steel-types are actually pretty scarce in UU). Overall Lilligant is a really good Pokemon, and underrated.
220px-143Snorlax.png
Snorlax @ Choice Band
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk / 52 Def / 200 SpD / 4 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Return
- Earthquake
- Pursuit
- Fire Punch
*sigh* I swear making a team without Snorlax is flat-out impossible. Seriously, you have to use Snorlax in UU, because he's just that good. He's actually kind of manly, but the real deal is that he checks many special attackers in the tier, especially Chandelure. He also hits hard, and acts as a battering ram to just smash down things that it gets the chance to hit. Return is nice STAB to break down opponents, while Earthquake serves as coverage. Pursuit is really useful since Snorlax scares away Chandelure and Mismagius, so he can keep them well away (and double Pursuit trap between Krookodile and Snorlax makes Chandelure literally a non-threat to this team, lol). Fire Punch is to wear down Bronzong, which can be a little problematic otherwise. Overall, Snorlax is a staple of all teams, including this one, so I had to place it.
170px-214Heracross.png
Heracross @ Leftovers
Trait: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Megahorn
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
As if Lilligant and Krookodile weren't enough underrated things to put on this team. Well, Heracross, or HeraBOSS, is here, with its extremely underrated Swords Dance set. Choice Scarf Heracross is at its worst atm, but Swords Dance Heracross is a true beast. He serves as my burn absorber against Sableye, as well as a battering ram to just break down bulky Pokemon with his insane power to make sweeping with others much easier. Heracross packs a lot of power and also stops Sableye. Cofagrigus and Gligar sure won't enjoy a Stone Edge after +4, and Heracross also breaks down Umbreon which is nice. It has great coverage to just be destructive, and thus finds itself on this team. Overall, Swords Dance Heracross is really good, and I love using it atm.
Conclusion
Overall I really like using this team, since it has won me quite a few battles on the ladder. This is easily one of my favorite teams atm, and is a blast to use. Although I'm mostly an RU player, UU is a lot of fun to play as well, as there's a lot that is viable, and there's some room to run underrated Pokemon. This is easily one of my better teams (alongside Giant Manly Centipede Attack and Papercraft Dragon), and yeah. I like how my team's performing, although any advice would be welcome.

Sorry for double post, reserving this post for threatlist.

Blue=Problematic Red=Serious Threat

460.png
Abomasnow- His hail can be rather problematic, although Snorlax and Heracross have this thing at bay. I better watch out for Blizzards and hail damage though

617.png
Accelgor- Snorlax handles it pretty well. Not very common.

424.png
Ambipom- If the opponent is using this, they shouldn't be a problem to defeat

591.png
Amoonguss- Spore is rather annoying, oughtta Taunt it with Froslass before it accomplishes much. Luckily not that common.

059.png
Arcanine- Krookodile handles it quite well with its EQ. Not easy to counter though if its offensive or defensive (watch out for WoW)

482.png
Azelf- Suicide lead sets can stop Froslass from doing her job, but he's rather easy to deal with since Snorlax and Krookodile keep him well in check.

184.png
Azumarill- Aqua Jet can stop Krook, but Lilligant and Cofagrigus shouldn't have any problem with it

625.png
Bisharp- He can be a legitimate threat to the team, although Krookodile makes real good work of him as does Heracross

009.png
Blastoise- Cofagrigus and Froslass can both stop him from spinning and do some mean things to him, and Lilligant can beat him 1v1

437.png
Bronzong- Can wall some Pokemon on my team and Toxic is a little annoying, but it's really easy to wear down

609.png
Chandelure- Krookodile and Snorlax keep it in check, not too threatening to this team

573.png
Cinccino- Can deal some real damage to the team and stop Froslass, but Cofagrigus walls it pretty handily and Krookodile can revenge kill it

344.png
Claydol- Claydol is bad. Every Pokemon on my team can and will beat it one on one

638.png
Cobalion- Cofagrigus can use it as setup bait, Krookodile can check it and deal some real damage to it

563.png
Cofagrigus- Has some good bulk and can stop Krookodile from Moxie'ing, but Heracross can use the defensive sets as setup bait as can Lilligant.

488.png
Cresselia- She's stupidly bulky although she can't do anything to Krookodile who can keep her in check

169.png
Crobat- Extremely fast, can put some real dents, and can come in on Krook for free on mispredict, and also Taunt Cofagrigus to stop it from sweeping

555.png
Darmanitan- Krookodile can make some nice work out of it, although the power is really something to behold

621.png
Druddigon- Can 2HKO the whole team. Not very common.

632.png
Durant- Cofagrigus kinda makes it less of a threat, and rather easy to deal with. Luckily it's not that common.

356.png
Dusclops- See Cofagrigus. Really bulky though, and watch out for WoW.

395.png
Empoleon- Krookodile can revenge it but can't switch in, it's also really easy to wear down with repeated attacks

589.png
Escavalier- Can come on on a lot of the team and deal serious damage. Even it I beat it I'll have the team weakened. Kinda uncommon.

330.png
Flygon- Cofagrigus can take a hit from it and blow it, Krookodile revenges it pretty handily. Froslass can also handle CB variants with Ice Beam.

478.png
Froslass- Can stop Froslass if it goes first, if it gets the Spikes and I don't, I'm kinda fucked.

596.png
Galvantula- Snorlax stops it

207.png
Gligar- piece of shit mon, Heracross, Cofagrigus, and Lilligant can also use it as setup bait

623.png
Golurk- Krookodile and Lilligant both make handy work of it

214.png
Heracross- Cofagrigus walls it pretty well

237.png
Hitmontop- Cofagrigus spinblocks it, lol

430.png
Honchkrow- Can come in on Krook and pose a real threat with Moxie+Sucker Punch. Gotta keep my eye out if facing one.

229.png
Houndoom- Meh. Krookodile beats it one on one

230.png
Kingdra- Assuming I've cracked enough Moxie boosts, Krookodile can beat the shit out of it. Lilligant can too if enough QD boosts. Otherwise gotta look out.

553.png
Krookodile- Heracross will beat it unless it's running the situational Aerial Ace. Lilligant can after like, 2 QD boosts lol.

549.png
Lilligant- Snorlax can take it on, although I must sacrifice one Pokemon to Sleep Powder. If Snorlax does die though, this thing can be really scary.

068.png
Machamp- Cofagrigus says hello

648.png
Meloetta- Between Snorlax and Krookodile this thing is pretty well checked.

151.png
Mew- Krookodile can deal some real damage, as can Heracross

620.png
Mienshao- Cofagrigus stops it

350.png
Milotic- Lilligant and Heracross handle it quite well. Cofag and Krook can too if they've attained boosts.

429.png
Mismagius- Between Krookodile and Snorlax this thing is well checked

034.png
Nidoking- Snorlax and Krookodile check it pretty well, watch out for the hard power though

031.png
Nidoqueen- See Nidoking

233.png
Porygon2- Has a good amount of bulk so can take hits (like the other NFE, Dusclops), although Heracross handily does well against it.

474.png
Porygon-Z- Can really be threatening if it receives a boost, with its power. Snorlax better stay alive before this thing comes in play

211.png
Qwilfish- Krookodile's repeated EQ's should do

243.png
Raikou- Krookodile and Snorlax both handle it pretty well

379.png
Registeel- Krookodile and Heracross do well against it, though Lilligant invites it in for free

464.png
Rhyperior- Lilligant, Heracross, and Krookodile handle it rather well

407.png
Roserade- It's so frail physically so Snorlax, Heracross, and Krookodile handle it well

479m.png
Rotom-C- Krookodile doesn't enjoy it but Snorlax sure does

479f.png
Rotom-F- See Rotom-C

479h.png
Rotom-H- Say hello to Snorlax

302.png
Sableye- Heracross enjoys its presence

254.png
Sceptile- Can handily make work of most of my team with Acro set. Luckily not very common

545.png
Scolipede- Cofagrigus makes good work of it. Can pose a threat to Krookodile and Lilligant though. Luckily not super common.

560.png
Scrafty- Amazing coverage can make it a tough Pokemon to deal with. Only Heracross can handle it well.

319.png
Sharpedo- Can 2HKO my whole team (Sharpedo is broken anyways so eh)

492.png
Shaymin- Snorlax and Heracross are handy

080.png
Slowbro- Lilligant does well here

199.png
Slowking- See Slowbro

143.png
Snorlax- Meh, easy to wear down and Krookodile could break it apart with Moxie boosts in hand

245.png
Suicune- Lilligant says hi

260.png
Swampert- Lilligant says hi

468.png
Togekiss- Can paraflinch the whole team and is so bulky that it can take a lot of hits

641.png
Tornadus- Can be a little problematic with its amazing STAB and power, plus the ability to use both attacking spectrums

197.png
Umbreon- Foul Play is a little annoying but handy setup turns and Krookodile can sweep through it with Spikes support and two Moxie boosts

480.png
Uxie- Krookodile handles it

Really cool team SITB, decided to try it out for myself and I ended up doing really well with it. I'm always a big fan of using underrated things well in UU, and this team makes great use of both Krookodile and Lilligant. I hadn't used bulky Froslass until now and I'm actually quite surprised at how well it took hits.

The lack of Stealth Rocks hurts this team, but I don't know what could be replaced with a SR user... I ended up replacing Snorlax's CB with Leftovers when I was using the team and I honestly think that its so much better off but that's just me. I know a lot of people really love CB Snorlax but I hate to lock it into moves that so many things are immune to or resist. I especially don't like getting locked into Pursuit, that really leaves you open after using it.

Overall I really enjoyed using the team, I wish I could give you more advice on it but really I think its great as it is.

Use HP Ground on Lilligant, dawg. It still hits Chandy and Darm for SE while ALSO hitting Steels for SE!

Then he is walled by Crobat and Zapdos.

SR could be put on Krook, though you will prob miss the move you replace.

I like this spread for SD Hera: 208 HP / 136 Atk / 20 Def / 144 Spe. Just because I like the bulk.

Togekiss looks like a fat threat, anything that outspeeds it can't ko from full and anything that can take a hit gets flinched to death, not much can be changed for this though, unless you wanna fit in a electric type.
